The proof is in the meat when I cook it. I don't get sick after I eat it. My daughter and I have digestive issues and this is the only beef we can eat . Also, I don't know why it took me so long to try the sausage. I guess I was a secular for Jimmy Dean, but man. 10000 times better . Chicken is always better than store . I am so far very impressed. I've been twice and I'm going back today. I'm gonna have to try their steaks soon, but at the prices you're paying at the grocery store and you don't know where the meat comes from here at least I feel safer. read more

I previously gave a review about Findley's complaining that they misrepresent that they carry Berkshire pork. The owner, David, replied that there must have been a misunderstanding on my part. I tried to respond but didn't know how to post my response. So I'll try here...... I was in his store at least 45 minutes talking with his butchers/ manager about their types of meat. I specifically asked if they carried Berkshire Pork. The butcher or clerk explained at length that their pork was derived partially from Berkshire pigs. The clear implication was that their pork was basically the same as Berkshire since it came from Berkshire stock. I was highly interested in trying Berkshire so I went out of my way to inquire about this. In addition, at the time ( 2-3 years back) they had some signage in their store which said the words Berkshire pork "Berkshire Pork". So the Berkshire pork issue felt misleading, at best. I do not know if that signage is still present. Just wanted to clarify that there was no misunderstanding that I was told that their pork was basically Berkshire pork. This was not part of my planned stops on my road trip and the reason I keep a cooler in my trunk because when I saw it I went around the block and stopped. My parents are old and not adventurous when it comes to food but I'm getting some items to take over and I have a cooler if they don't eat what I get. The place is small but packed with homemade sausage, elk,venison products, buffalo, smoked meats, fresh meats, dog treats, farm fresh eggs, hanging hams and some fresh produce etc etc. The woman who helped me was super friendly as everyone I meet in my southern road trip so I asked her what is the one thing I have to leave with and she says the maple sausage is the best selling item so I left with that. Venison salami and polish sausage left with me but my parents didn't want any part of it so it went into the cooler to take home. This was a nice small town find and another great road trip stop even though it was not planned. read more

Great cuts of meat it's a cut above what you get at a grocery store. It's the best hamburger meat you can get. Cut from what they cut that day no fillers just great meat.once you see the difference you will never go to a grocery store again for meat. They have fresh peeled crawfish so great and fresh you can't buy anywhere else around town.they trim the meat where there is no waste. It's overwhelming. And the best smoke brisket you can buy. Also they smoked some daily like ribs and chicken. And around thanksgiving they smoke turkeys 4 different ways and dressing like my grandma did it.if your there and e don't see what you want ask them and they will get it for you. The hotdogs are the best only made from the best meat. They are not full of fillers. I have medical issues so I need better meats to eat with out the extra bad things in it I do worry they only have the best. Went to the Cartersville location and they were so nice and helpful. It was my first time there so they walked me through the shop and explained all that they offered. I had questions about a few different cuts of meat and they patently walked me through everything, offered seasonings that would enhance the flavor, etc. I am a sucker for great customer service and I will now buy all my meat needs here. read more

This is an update to my previous post. I posted a review of this shop because I bought a wagu beef and it was old and rancid. They sold me rancid wagu! To test my complaint, and ensure I wasn't just "unfamiliar" with the beef, I visited the Buckhead Butcher shop in Buckhead and paid over $400 for another sample the famed wagu steak. The quality was far, far superior to the wagu I received at Findlay's! So you know I'm not just a b-I-t-c-h, I spent the money to test my own complaintM Findlay ripped me-off and you should expect the same treatment. To spend big money on a steak that is rancid is immoral. If you want a quality Wagu, go to the Buckhead Butcher. If you want to sample this fine, fine beef - don't spend your money with people that will cheat you! Get it from a quality butcher. read more

Went here last week to buy meat. I wanted to buy outside skirt steak the butcher suggested the inside. I told him that outside is more tender. He pointed to a picture of a cow and said it's all the same meat. So I bought 35 bucks worth of skirt steak and a total of 187 bucks of total meat. I cooked the meat the next day. Well I should of never believed the butcher cause the meat was tuff and hard to cut. I threw the meat out. I went back to the butcher a few days later and complained about it. All I got was a 10 bucks off my 35 total or free two pounds of ground meat. Be aware of this place not giving you your total satisfaction guarantee. The butcher didn't care of my loss. I will not be going back here. Know what your buying before you buy anything. read more

I did NOT like the food I bought from here. The people were wonderful and personal. The meat I bought was horrible. They also had an up-charge for using discover card. Just an FYI for you if you use discover. I'm not coming back. Too much money for the product. read more

Great and friendly staff who were super knowledgeable and helpful. Delicious pork belly. I was not a fan of the cheddar brats but I also didn't cook them well, I just boiled them. The Italian sausages and brats were amazing on the grill. read more

Very good products and friendly staff. I was in Cartersville ga location. It was a little expensive but great products usually are. The beef was very good and the jerky was phenomenal. They also have smoked products which were also very good. I would go back if I'm back in that location for sure. read more

It was my first time in this butcher shop. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. Their meat has no added hormones and is all natural which is nice considering the way meat is packaged up at conventional grocery stores. There was a lot to choose from. I ended up getting baby back ribs and he offered to remove the membrane for me which I appreciated. My brother got bacon wrapped filets which he was offered a choice between freshly butchered or in the pack. The beef jerky was amazing to the point where my brother, boyfriend, and I ate the whole pack in one sitting. There was everything from sausage to steaks, even fresh vegetables and rubs. I will definitely be returning and I reccomend that you try this place out. read more

My husband and I have been wanting to try out this place and now we're hooked. We purchased 2 New York strip steaks Saturday morning. My husband and our son who asks 1001 questions went. He said the man was so polite and didn't mind answering our sons questions. He was knowledgeable and seemed very happy to help everyone inside the store. We won't be purchasing store bought frozen steak anymore. Our steak was delicious and sliced like butter. We grilled it. I never understood the difference in a good quality steak until now. They have several different types of game meat including elk, Buffalo, venison, rabbit and duck breast . Wide range wild caught seafood and they have gator and crawfish. They offer package deals from small grill packages to super saver that will fill your freezer. Packages are customized to suit your needs. They even have fresh organic eggs, local seasonal vegetables. They carry several side items were you can make it a One Stop & Shop to get complete meal (including appetizers and dips). Been meaning to do this; I typically (not as much as I'd prefer) only go to Butcher shops for my meat, I use to live in Jacksonville Florida and did the same. This shop is probably a close 1st best I've been to so far, they want to know what you want such as cuts, how you plan on cooking the meat, what you typically eat the most, or are you willing to try something a bit different? A lot of variety here, you just need to drop in and look around, the website isn't like walking in and seeing for yourself. They have very nice package prices, reasonable subs can be made too. I hear one of their stores actually has an onsite dietitian that will take doctors orders and map out meal plans etc. (I think but don't quote me). Great place! Have driven past numerous times but decided to stop on one rainy, dreary afternoon. Kids wanted to eat out and we wanted to save some money. Best. Decision. Ever!!! The butcher was super nice, even though I was there five minutes before closing, and asked me what I was looking for. All I knew was that we wanted steak. After asking a few questions, the butcher suggested a rib eye. He cut a thick one for my husband and a slightly smaller one for myself. We grilled the meat at home and it was incredible. The best steak I've ever had!!! I'm stopping by again this evening for steaks and, honestly, I can't wait for dinner. read more
