Stopped by out of curiosity and was welcomed by the sweetest woman named Mary...I told her I was just dropping in to see what the store had and was pleasantly surprised! I ended up not getting any of the meat (but based on the reviews I should have tried the stuffed chicken). I'm a heat and go type of girlie so I was locked in on the frozen section...I ended up trying the shrimp dressing. A friend told me about this unassuming spot and it's now my favorite place in Georgia. The online ordering system is simple and convenient and the prices seem very fair in my opinion. They have just about any kind of meat that you're looking for, and their premade section is excellent for when you have a hankering for a Cajun classic but no patience to make a Roux. I love their chicken and sausage gumbo and can't leave without at least two quarts. Still love this place. My brother absolutely loves their boneless chickens. He buys several at a time, w cajun seasoning. All of their meats and poultry are excellent quality. They have some of the best tenderloin around. They'll cut it however you want it. Also bought a prime rib for Thanksgiving. Chad was incredibly helpful and patient with me while I figured out what I wanted even though they were swamped. Their beef is truly some of the best around, and their prices are very reasonable, especially in comparison to some other butchers in both Marietta and Roswell. Great service from everyone. This place was poppin! We arrived and there was a line out the door. Service was quick. Once at the door you are given a number and able to go in and peruse the items on the shelves and in the glass cases. You then get called to place your order and will wait a few minutes while it is prepared. We ordered a stuffed Brisket and did it NOT disappoint. We cooked it in an egg overnight and it was heavenly. We are on it over a couple days and it made for great sandwiches, too. The service at the business was great and the line moved swiftly. We would definitely purchase goods from here again. read more

A few friends were discussing this spot on Facebook and I decided that I had to check it out. I love Louisiana type foods and someone from New Orleans raved about this place. I went and there was so much to see from the cases of seasoned meats to shelves of seasonings and rices and beignet mixes. I went specifically for the stuffed chicken with shrimp dressing and shrimp ettouffee. The stuffed chicken is not cooked but it has cooking instructions on the package. The shrimp ettouffee comes in two sizes: pint and gallon. I went with the pint. Once I got home, I made some rice and heated the ettouffee. Omg!!! Amazing! The shrimp were perfect and It was so delicious, I wanted to fix another plate but I didn't want to be greedy when I was already stuffed. Lol. I baked the chicken so that I could start eating it for dinner but of course once it was finished I had to taste test it. It was very moist and seasoned very well. I was expecting the dressing to be cornbread dressing but it was rice and shrimp. It was good and enough for 4 meals. I plan on going back and checking out the seasoning and rice section add buying some beignets mix. read more

LIVE LOUISIANAN CRAWFISH SOLD HERE. It's crawfish season again, and I'm so happy I found Cajun meat company. They sell fresh crawfish that they personally bring in from Louisiana, and I'm now able to fulfill all of my crawfish boil needs lol. The shop itself is a little small. There's a variety of frozen foods like gumbo that you can purchase, but I personally have not tried anything other than picking up crawfish from here. There was also a variety of sausages and stuffed meats that looked delicious, and if I ever do try anything else I'll be sure to add my two cents about that as well. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they were very patient and helpful when we called about pricing. If you do want to order crawfish, I believe you have to call and order at least a week in advance to ensure that they have it available. Located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking, and I definitely recommend if you're looking for live crawfish. read more

My wife started chemo treatment in early October, so we decided to take the easy route for Thanksgiving and order a turkey from Cajun Meat. I suspect that they do a good job with what they do best, Cajun food. I worked in New Orleans for over a year, and I recognized a few of the items on the shelves. The problem is that they are not set up to do the volume related to an East Cobb Thanksgiving. Our turkey was way over cooked and, to a large extent, unedible. The legs and wings were like leather and the little amount of breast meat that was edible was extremely dry. This was a very difficult time for our family and this was the topper. Easy to prepare and down right delicious! Boudin is on hand, tasso, turtle meat, alligator meat, prepared gumbo of various kinds, King cake in season(plain, cream cheese, and Boston creme) and this is legit from Louisiana directly. Turducken is made to order. Spices and seasonings, pheasant, frog legs, ... I think you get it.... they have a wide variety of products on top of the fresh meats and sausages. I love this place. The shrimp dressing stuffed deboned chickens are amazing. There are other deboned stuffed chickens but shrimp is the best in my opinion. I drizzle with olive oil and then cook as directed. Super easy and makes dinner feel so gourmet. They also have turducken which I'm dying to try. Great green onion sausage and crawfish pies! Drove 1 hr to get here for a friend that loves the food I bring to her from a local Louisiana market. They even have wowee sauce which I grabbed to take back to California! Always been my favorite sauce with everything. Hog head cheese didn't have enough gelatin to hold together. I wouldn't recommend the brand they carry but hopefully there will be another option for that. The service was welcoming and friendly. Small solace but great meats. read more

I've only bought 2-3 other items ever and though I remember enjoying them...they're irrelevant. I come here for the chicken. Completely (well except for the wing tip) deboned WHOLE chicken, seasoned, and stuffed with a variety of different dressings. All you have to do is slice open the bag, pop that chicken in a pan, and throw it in the oven. Even cooking instructions come on the bag! Makes you look like a gourmet chef. I personally like the broccoli and cheese, crawfish stuffing, or shrimp dressing. Chickens vary in price but I find it to be reasonably priced. The staff here is very friendly and honest. They do sell a host of other items and I would encourage anyone to check out. The store is in the corner of the large shopping plaza (I think Ross'?) on Roswell Rd. read more
