Everything we have had there is outstanding! I usually have the chopped BBQ sandwich w/original sauce & Mac n cheese. The sandwich is juicy, flavorful & out of this world. The Mac n cheese is creamy & very flavorful. The hubby usually get a reg BBQ sandwich chopped & he loves his as well. He has gotten the French fries, baked beans & he says they are very good but lately he has been getting potato salad & fried okra & the potato salad I'd very good, creamy w/a celery crunch. I've been here a few times now, including my most recent visit this month, and every experience has been consistently enjoyable.I usually order the Choice Platter with a half rack of ribs and chicken, along with baked beans, mac and cheese, and the jalapeño cornbread. The ribs are always tender and flavorful, and the chicken is cooked well. It can be a little dry at times, but the BBQ sauce takes care of that. The baked beans and mac and cheese are both delicious, and the jalapeño cornbread is always a great choice.I've also tried the stuffed jalapeños and the hand-battered mushrooms. The stuffed jalapeños were hearty and very tasty. The mushrooms were okay, but I probably wouldn't order them again unless I was sharing with a group. They're served whole, and I think cutting them in half would improve the batter-to-mushroom ratio. The batter could also use a little more seasoning, as the mushrooms make them taste a bit bland.Service has been a little slow each time, but the waitresses have always been friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the experience enjoyable.Overall, the food has been consistently good, and I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in the area. read more

To whom it may heavily concern, On June 12, 2026, I Mr. Jorael White " African- American Male" entered the establishment of Williamson Bros Bar-B-Q located in Marietta, Georgia at 1425 Roswell Rd as a paying customer to place a take-out order. Upon entering the establishment, the restaurant was not overcrowded, and weather conditions outside were extremely hot, approximately 89 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. After waiting for the customer ahead of me to be served, I placed a take-out order consisting of one brisket sandwich and one order of hush puppies. Following completion of my order, I observed available seating located directly adjacent to the designated take-out area near the restaurant bar. Before occupying the seating, I asked the front counter Attendant, who processed my order, whether the seating area was available for me to use while waiting for my order. He expressly informed me that the seating was available and I could wait there. I then approached the seating area where one elderly male patron was seated. I politely greeted him and asked whether surrounding seats were occupied by anyone else. He informed me that the seats were available. Shortly after sitting down, I was approached by a female employee, "Caucasian", approximately middle-aged, who asked whether I intended to order alcoholic beverages. I respectfully declined and informed her that I had recently placed a take-out order with the front counter associate and step aside to wait for my food. I further stated that I would not be consuming alcohol because I needed to drive home safely, but I would accept a glass of water. Immediately after hearing my response, the employee informed me "if you're not ordering an alcoholic beverage, you can't sit at the bar" I reiterated that I was already a paying customer waiting on an active order. Despite this explanation, I was again informed that unless I purchased an alcoholic beverage, I could not sit there. I then stood up, collected my belongings, and relocated myself to wait for my items. This interaction caused me to feel very uncomfortable, unwelcome, and singled out as a paying customer. I was left with highs concerns that I may have been treated very indifferent from those of my peers and other patrons present in the establishment. I am documenting this event because I believe the circumstances warrant review regarding whether unequal treatment or slight discriminatory conduct occurred. read more

4th of July after the Marietta parade, my dtr and I went here. The back of the restaurant was cool which felt so good after being out in the heat for 4 hrs. Ordered a full slab of ribs to share. Almost immediately came the extra plates and cole slaw. Then the mac and cheese came along with a huge slab of ribs. We forgot to tell the delightful server no sauce but what we did not scrap off was good. The mac and cheese is the best around. She and I split the left over ribs and have enough each for a meal and a lunch. Food was so good!!!! read more

The service was great, our server was very attentive, maybe too attentive haha he seemed kind of bored and came to check on us a little too often, but no harm done! We got fried cheese curds as our appetizer. It came with a marinara sauce that was super delicious! The cheese curds were so warm and the cheese pull was phenomenal! Something that was a little off putting for me about this place was that all of the sauces came packaged as if the order was to go? For example the marinara sauce was in a marinara container, the sour cream came in a plastic tube, like they didn't even try to disguise that they made the sauces themselves, which I appreciate the transparency but if I'm dining in I would like the dine-in experience with sauces out of its original packaging. For my main course, I got the brisket. I like that they ask if you want a fattier, leaner, or normal cut. I asked for the normal cut. I was nervous about getting the brisket cause I had read reviews that it was dry and dry brisket is the bane of my existence but I thought it was perfect! It was delicious and instantly fell apart when I touched it. The steak sauce added great flavor, I'm glad they didn't add any additional salt to the brisket otherwise it definitely would've been too salty. I got mashed potatoes and green beans as the side. The green beans were what you'd expect, nothing special. The mashed potatoes were also pretty average. Definitely needed more salt and more gravy and wasn't as creamy as I would've liked. But I added some butter and the steak sauce and it was perfect! The Texas toast that came with it was also very good. Overall pretty good bbq place I'd say! TLDR: Great service despite previous reviews (s/o to Marcos), a nice family environment, and good BBQ Ordered: We all split our slides with our main meat dishes. I'd say that the sides end of being particularly small if you end up sharing but if you have on your own will be filling. - 1/2 Rack of Ribs: 5/5 - Talk about a dinosaur! The ribs were cooked perfectly, and by that of course we mean falling off the bone. Their house sauce is pretty good too so no complaints! - Cole slaw: 5/5 - I tend to be picky about people's cole slaw but this was well balanced in the acid and fat department. - Baked Beans: 4/5 - A cousin of the Bush's baked beans which I'm a huge fan of. If you enjoy that traditional flavor with not really a whole lot of za you'll enjoy this - Max & Cheese: 3/5 - Not anyone's favorite. Pretty standard box mac and cheese that would do well for people who do just want that classic box mix. - Collard Greens: 1/5 - No flavor. They were quite literally wet collards. - Potato Salad: 4/5 - Way more of an eggy potato salad (it was actually quite yellow) which if you are a fan of I'd suggest a different side - Corn bread: 3/5 - Not bad but not great. Food excellent! Friday night about 6 .. party of 8.. had to wait 15 minutes! Great wait time ! As we were waiting management came and assured us they were working on our table . We were at the canton location. Austin stopped by our table several times and spoke with us! We had Sky as our server and she was great ! Quick.. and correct . I decided to grab some take out tonight from Williamson Brothers. Once I pulled into the parking lot I could smell the BBQ. It smelled really good. I ordered a 1/2 slab of the spare ribs, a side of collard greens and baked beans. The sides were seasoned pretty good especially the beans. I decided to get the BBQ sauce on the side so I could taste the ribs with just the dry rub on it. The ribs were just okay and could have used some more seasoning. They also were not fall off the bone and could have cooked longer. The BBQ sauce made them taste better. Maybe next time I would try the baby backs or beef ribs if they have them. read more

I'm totally in love with the smell of this place - it totally transports you to the BBQ place on the side of the road out in the country. I ordered the Spare ribs with garlic toast this time, and fried mushroom appetizer ( those could be a meal themselves ) the ribs are tender and really tasty half a rack is enough for 2 people to share with slaw and baked beans. I've had brisket here and BBQ sandwiches- you can't go wrong. The pies are delicious- my fave is coconut and the lemon - the lemon is what I got this stop - the right amount of lemony sweetness and a great crust. I've never had a bad meal here. I can't say much about the service - it's not great or bad - not memorable, they do their job and bring the food while it's hot. A solid place to enjoy some good bbq overall. read more

Imagine going out to dine at a restaurant and getting served mac and cheese worse than Kraft. The menu even said "like Kraft" yet they somehow did worse. It was so watery and gross and was served in a dish that could fit maybe 3 of my fingertips in it. For the first time in my life I had to complain to get something actually edible as a side and so instead I got the most plain unsalted fries, about as delicious as my uncooked frozen fries at home, served on a plate barely big enough for them. In fact, all of their dishes were cheap, ugly, and as small as possible. Only saving grace was the waitress was nice and the water was of normal quality. First time trying this place with some coworkers and it didn't disappoint! They have plenty of food options which made it so hard to decide what I wanted. Eventually, I went with the chicken tenders with the chipotle sauce and a side of fries. The chicken tenders were cooked to perfection, and the sauce was a good mix of spices and a bit of sweetness. The fries were also pretty good, but next time I think I'll go with Mac and cheese. They also do take Apple Pay if you forget your card which was super nice! This is my favorite place to come eat at when I'm in the Marietta area. I did something different and wanted to try the brisket sandwich. This sandwich was the truth. I brought my family for some BBQ this past weekend and we have been coming here for years. We no longer live in the area but the food is still as delicious as we remember. I got the BBQ combo plate with chicken, ribs, pulled pork and brisket. All were good but it's hard to beat some good briskets. I also got Mac n cheese and fried okra as my sides. We ended up sharing a banana pudding and a coconut cream pie for the table the staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly. I don't know if there was a staffing issue that day but the service and follow up could have been a little better. The interior is that of an old country house with vintage lamps and decor. I needed a drink and a snack today so I stopped in at Williamson's. Heather, the bar tender fired me up a delicious hibiscus margarita. I had the jalapeños stuffed with pork and cream cheese wrapped in bacon from the Starter menu. They are amazing. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside. A side of bbq sauce for dipping. Hands down, no comparison, the best barbecue I have ever had. I came all the way from California and I was not disappointed.

My wife and i have eaten at both locations several times and had good meals. Last night we ate at the Marietta location and it must have been an off night in the kitchen with quality control absent. . Both the wings and the pork plate were dry without any moisture. We were unable to eat much of the two servings. The sides were good and Grace's service was very attentive and good. First time dining in. The decor/atmosphere is what you want for a BBQ joint, rustic. I love that you can actually watch the Pit Master from some seats. Our service was great, very attentive and friendly. I had the brisket plate, fried okra, and onion rings (Plate with 2 sides). The onion rings are fresh cut, dipped, and fried the way they should be. The fried okra was good, not over breaded and was fresh. The brisket, man it was a bigger serving than I expected. Totally pleased with that. The brisket was cooked very well, not dry, just right. The homemade steak sauce was a great addition for dipping. I used their standard homemade sauce, superb, for half the brisket. We love this BBQ. We recently moved to Florida and dearly miss Williamson Brothers. We would go to the one in Canton whenever making trips to the National Cemetery.
