This place is a sewist's paradise. There is quite literally endless amounts of fabrics and notions and you could spend hours browsing. My number one recommendation for coming here is to have a list of what you need/are looking for because you couldn't possibly just browse the shelves like you would at Joann's or Michaels. The prices are insanely low and are the reason I keep coming back for my projects despite the lengthy drive from my home. The workers are all very kind and generous, often measuring lengths of fabrics and trims more with their heart than the rulers. I have never had an unpleasant experience with fine fabrics and I visited their Norcross location many a time, as well. Excellent service, amazing prices, and incredible selection. If you have ever wanted to browse an entire warehouse of fabrics... this is the place to go. My only complaint is that it can be hard to navigate the aisle due to all the merchandise, the building has an unpleasant smell, and figuring out the price can be hard. What an experience! One of my goals in 2026 was to learn to sew. With that, I obviously need supplies, which includes fabrics. A few friends and I decided to make the trip and stock up on fabrics. When I say this place has everything, I mean it. So many patterns, designs, and types of fabrics. Truthfully it was a bit overwhelming for someone who isn't that into the sewing game. So what I tried to do is get a few things quickly and call it a day. Random note: this is in a large building that really isn't heated/ cooled. When it's hot. It's hot. When it's cold, like the day we were there please bundle up. I froze while I shopped. My favorite area is the discounted remnants. This is a perfect spot for someone like me who is likely to mess up. That way, I've spent less than normal on fabric I'm not as sad if i screwed up on. The fabric is a little pricier than say, Michael's but it seems a lot nicer too. As I get better with my new hobby, I will definitely be back buying up all of the materials. read more

The fabric selection was excellent! The price seems fair. The clerks did not appear happy to be there. They wore gloves and mask so as not to catch a virus. Also a discount was offered if you paid with cash but you don't know that until you're in the store. I would visit again and bring cash. read more

we recently bought a new home, went to this establishment to look for fabrics for our window treatments; when we requested swatches the young man barely looked up and said $2.00/per swatch!! we were looking for fabric for 4 bedrooms and the dining room. Wow! What a great fabric store. The place is HUGE, they have an amazing selection of apparel fabrics and notions. I also saw a section of upholstery fabrics but I wasn't looking in that area. The staff was so friendly and happy, I will absolutely be back. I was in town for a conference and decided to stop in here before the airport, I wish I had more time. The prices were great. The fabrics I chose were between $5-$9 per yard, and they were having an additional 30% off the whole store for their anniversary. Next time I'm in Atlanta, I will definitely be setting aside a couple of hours to go back to Fine Fabrics. We don't have anything like this in Rhode Island, I wish we did!! read more

On 7.21.23, I came here with my sewing group, Sew Much Talent, for a sewing retreat. Fine Fabrics was outer 2nd stop to look at fabric and other sewing notions. When I walked in, I felt like a kid in a candy store. We were informed that this was the largest location in Georgia. There was nothing but wall to wall of various fabrics plus zippers and threads in various colors, and then some. Each of the staff was accommodating and helpful. The gentlemen at the cutting counter were so sweet and delightful during our shopping excursion. The fabric was of great quality and there were tons of choices of knits to vinyl, home decor fabric and more. Can we get one close to the DMV or Philly, at least? read more

The two old ladies in the front are racist and extremely disrespectful towards their customers when they come to pay. You have a good experience getting the fabric cut but when you are checking out, you deal with miserable old women. read more

I had heard about Fine Fabrics from other sewists but I never in my fabric buying days have seen anything like this. I was so overwhelmed with all that fabric. I had to take a breath and try to stay focus on my mission. The staff was excellent....very accommodating and generous. It was my first visit but I hope to visit again.
