My gel manicure was done to perfection! She shaped my nails to be almond shaped and made sure they were all even which I appreciated, she also made sure that I liked the chrome color and let me try a couple before deciding. If you don't care about free cheap champagne, fake marble tile, and techno - listen up! This salon is the only place I can come to get a gel manicure done the proper way. Its really hard for me to write this because I've been coming here for almost a year. It was the third shop I tried when I moved to Dallas & wanted to make it my home, but over the course of the year the service and quality have diminished. Im in the chair right now entering my 3rd hour (2 hours & 15 minutes for a pedicure. A standard. Normal. One color pedicure. Why? Because the woman who sits across from Henry rushes. Then when she messes up, tries to spot treat the issue instead of laying a sturdier foundation. This is the third time I've come here and been cut with the file or the automatic spin thing. One of my cuticles is bleeding and she has had to repaint BOTH of my feet. When asked if someone else can do it, I was told no. Which is wasting even more time. The issue isnt the pedicure itself, its her ability to polish. Its like she cant see when the coats are uneven, when some of the nail isnt painted. The language barrier makes it even more difficult to communicate that. I think this is my last visit. I've tried, even after having acetone spilled on me, my (dip powdered) nails break after days! I decided to suppport a neighborhood business this weekend. I was told to go to fine art nails. As I was sitting on one of the very old massage chairs I wasn't even offered water or anything so I i decided to leave. The woman said no thAt she'd be right with me. I decided to give them a chance. The pedicure I requested was not given to me. I chose the $45 one and basically got a basic pedicure. Now the nails ‍ OMG my nails hurt so much after she was done. I specifically saIId I wanted my natural nails and dip. She cut my nails than had to glue an acrylic and sawed so deep into my cuticle I started bleeding. Than shE took out the NEOSPORIN that's when I knew I was screwed. She dropped some of her equipment while doing my nails and didn't even replace us or sanitize it. I fear I will get an infection. My sister got a manicure and pedicure too and her nail technician was fine. The only thinG again HE charged $45 for a basic manicure. No maSsage, or párrafin waX like i asked 4 times. They just decided to do what we they wan te s and pretended they didn't understand. I give them 3 stars due to them being polite and the time they spent. They just need to listen to their customer and maybe not make someone pay when their nails are bleeding. UPDATE FRIDAY JUNE 19th I got an INFECTION!!!!!!! I'm here now telling my story as I'm getting my feet done but I live in the area and in a pinch for time so I stopped here, I had a vision, I wanted pink metallic French tips on my feet, I know the metallic look was a pinch but thought I'd ask, I showed them a picture and multiple times they asked me what color I wanted....the metallic was pink so I said pink, an older woman is doing my feet at the moment and she's not doing terribly when it comes to shaping and cleaning but taking a little longer than usual. I told her the color I wanted it's a light purple but she brings over a dark pink and asks is it fine...so I gave her a completely different color at this point. She asked if I want calluses removed for an extra charge, I've never had them and don't now, no. I do fear that my shape isn't correct but like I said pinch for time and I'm at no liberty to go anywhere else, if they look semi decent I'll have to accept for now. Looking around the place is a bit outdated, but it's clean. Shaping and scrubbing is done and on to tips, she does one and immediately I'm like no, just do all white do now we are doing all white toes, my safe haven. Let's keep in mind the purple was gel, when I said white she grabbed a regular bottle of polish and colored my first nail, I looked up and asked is that gel? And she's like no regular. PLEASEEEE . At this point I really don't wanna be here and I don't think there's any coming back from that. After everything was said and done, I know I will not be returning to the salon. My right, big toe is crooked, and it's my real nail. Which leads me to believe that her paint job was terrible. Total came out to 40 bucks. I tipped five extra. read more

This place is run down and the service is not good. I took my polite four year old so we could both get our nails polished. Every word she said was ignored and they moved her around so forcibly. Terrible customer service. When they started to do my nails, the shape was terrible and it took several times of me asking for them to get them presentable (not good, just presentable). Needless to say, the name speaks for itself. Do not waste your time, the salon is dirty and the staff did not seem to have much experience with dip manicures. There was another customer who was told to wait around for a little while so they could get to her, and she ended up waiting over an hour with no direction or time estimate as to when the staff would be able to help her. Nothing against the individuals who work here, they were nothing but pleasant and kind during my visit. However, I will not be returning to "Fine Nails." I pride myself in my natural long nails, and when I said I wanted a slight trim, they cut my nails down to nubs. Rather than using actual nail clippers, my manicurist used the sanding tool to "trim" my nails instead. Not only are my nails too short, they simply just do not compliment my nail bed at all. Along with the hideous shape, they did not get rid of my cuticles and they are dry and cracked. It's very loved by its loyal Lakewood neighborhood but forget about making an appointment unless it's early in the day, since they take walk ins that can bump your appointment. I hate when ask to sit , just 5 mins and turn water on put your feet in and it takes them 15 min, so they may finish up the customer your working on . Now my feet look like prunes. Affordable nails, I get my gel nails done here. You need to keep an eye on the tech though because they do not always remember to paint the sides of your nails or underneath to the very tip. So after 3 days, I need a little bit of a touchup on the tips. Besides that, they do a great job and my pedicure looks amazing. My nail polish that was smudged and jacked the day after my pedicure turns out not to be a fluke. My friend who got a manicure the same day I went showed me her nails a few days later, and they did the same thing my toenail polish did: smudge. Don't waste your time and money here. I went in on a Friday afternoon around 3pm and had to wait 45 mins until someone helped me. I assumed since it was busy and there was a long wait time that it must have been a great place. I got the dip powder and the guy followed the "normal" dip process UNTIL he was finished. He painted a clear coat on my nails and then stuck them under a gel lamp. I was a bit surprised since I have never had anyone put my nails under a UV light after getting the dip. But I was fine with it. I thought maybe it would help my nails last longer. I was WRONG! By the third day I noticed the clear coat on my nails chipping and not only that but he also didn't even get my full nail when dipping it in the powder. Fine Nail is a good spot to go and get a quick pedicure when you don't have the time to run across town to your normal nail joint. The place is clean and they do a good enough job. The set up is kind of weird and seems like they just threw everything there. Which makes it feel a little crowded. First let me say thank you, Kimber. Wow. I can't believe how well you do what you do. I live in Seattle and with a new retail job and time on camera, I decided my hands should look their best and you only get to have fun with your nails in your 20's once. Long story short, no one, and I mean NO ONE in Seattle can do what Kimber does. She's an expert, but doesn't rush it, and shows deep care. She has finely tuned her process and I felt guilty each time I asked if she'd clean or shape something up- she knows what she's doing and wants me to be taken care of. This is the most compliments I've ever received on a manicure and I keep bragging about the price even though it honestly doesn't matter. I can't find a full acrylic dip set in Seattle for under $70 and she did it for $35! This is a $60 manicure at least. I want to fly home every 5 weeks now. Literally the worst service. They discriminate against African Americans, and use a very aggressive tone. When Caucasians walk in, they are so open, polite, and attentive. I took my boyfriend for a manicure and me for just color change because I didn't want to spend more time getting other things done in the is kind of atmosphere. My only drawback was having a slightly rushed pedicure when they had a line of people waiting. I have been coming here since I was a J.L Long middle school student. Such a great place, its small but cozy and has a very full staff. Kim and Henry have always taken care of my manicures. I get both gel and dip done and they are always so good. When it comes to pedicures I don't have a preference because they are all so sweet and very attentive. They have the most reasonably priced Mani and Pedi package on their massage chairs do just $35. They do get busy and sometimes there is a 30-45 minute rate but all that tells me is that people keep coming back! It's. It as fancy as the nail spas that are showing up everywhere. It I'm sure you won't be disappointed. These guys even let you bring wine in if you are with a group :) BYOB and Mani and Pedis, it doesn't get much better than that! read more
