Do not come to this nail salon. I was visiting from out of town and needed a fill in and gel manicure. First of all, they rushed me to pick a color and when the color I selected wasn't available, the lady took it upon herself to put a random one on my nails that I hated (I picked a dark red, she literally gave me purple) and then got annoyed when I told her to take it off so I can pick another color. On top of that, after one day, all of my nails started chipping, peeling and BREAKING OFF. I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years and never have I ever had my acrylics break off like this or my gel polish chip EVER. Very poor quality materials being used. I asked them for a refund and they are now completely ignoring me. Do not waste your money here. Terrible customer service, both in and out of the salon.

Every time I come here I get great service! Yen usually does my toes and she is AMAZING, she did them today and it was HEAVENLY!!! They are always so nice and never try to pressure me into upgrade after upgrade. And my toes come out amazing every time!

Love this salon! I've been a client since the beginning! Owners are fantastic! And Kenya and Lena are excellent technicians. This is family to me after this long!

I've been going to Castle Nail Spa for years. Needless to say a review is way overdue. I have tried other nail salons in Oak Lawn and there is nothing like Castle Nail Spa. Lena and Yen always do an amazing job for my mother and I and we get the Gold deluxe pedicure with hot stone, shoulder massage, warm eye mask and hot neck pillow, along with paraffin wax. They have a wide variety of gel nail colors and dip, it's modern and clean and all of the staff is wonderful! I give them 5 stars. You will not be disappointed, this nail salon is the absolute best. My dip manicure lasted less than a week. Three nails cracked through to my natural nails, which was very painful, with one nail splitting in half the very next day -- something that has never happened to me before. When I returned for repairs, I was told this was because blue/green colors crack more in winter and was still charged for the repair (20% discounted). The explanation was delivered in a dismissive manner, and no apology was offered despite damage to my natural nails. Very disappointing. Unfortunately, I loved this place, but they have now lost both my business and my friend group's business. read more

JOHN!!!! I am not one to give public reviews. However, I have to shout to all of Dallas... JOHN IS THE BEST!!!! Every 2 weeks for the past 5+ years I have gone to John for a dip manicure. This past week I asked John to give me an elegant French manicure for a photo shoot. Not only was it elegant, but FREEHAND! Along with John, I highly recommend Helen (does my toes), Michelle (can do pretty much anything! But man does she have strong hands!!) and Wendy for pedi! Can't go wrong!!! The staff was very welcoming, and we appreciated that they told us the pricing upfront--no surprises there. The drinks were a nice touch, and the salon had a friendly and clean atmosphere. My nail tech was very kind and clearly a perfectionist. She did get a little frustrated when I moved my hand, but I could tell it came from wanting everything to be just right, which I appreciated. At one point, I told her I felt a burning sensation on one of my nails, and she immediately applied a calming spray, which helped. Unfortunately, my best friend didn't receive the same level of care. During her appointment, she mentioned that her nails felt hot while the acrylic was being applied. Her tech said that happens sometimes, which we understand, as it's not unusual. But several hours later, my friend's nails are still hurting her, and she was not offered anything to soothe the discomfort, unlike I was. It feels like her concerns weren't really addressed in the moment. Additionally, she asked for a tapered square shape, but the tech told her she should ask for coffin nails next time. We know what a tapered square looks like, so that exchange felt unnecessarily dismissive. Another reason for the rating drop is that we were charged for "length"--but we both got fairly short nails. We even posted photos because it's unclear where that extra charge came from. I'm not expecting a refund, and I understand that a salon in downtown Dallas will likely cost more, but with higher pricing should come a more consistent quality of service. While parts of the experience were positive, the discomfort my friend is still dealing with, along with the shape miscommunication and unclear pricing, made this visit fall short of expectations.

Later I was talking about this experience to another friend and before I described the tech in question, she was able to do so. She knew exactly who he was, be cause she had had the same experience. Finally, this very last time I went there, Kailey joked with my friend that I was late (I was exactly on time), and then she AGAIN told my tech that I really needed a delicate touch. I said "Nope. Just normal, please. Been getting pedicures for 30 years and only ever complained about one tech." After the pedicure, while my friend payed her bill, I went to the restroom. While I was in there, Kailey told my friend "And now we wait for the Queen." Ok, game over. I don't like my spa services with a side of passive aggression. I'll take my business elsewhere.

As in, it's always dark when I go in and there's usually just one woman working on the week days with one customer in the entire shop and if you don't have an appointment, you're just out of luck. I can't deal with that kind of exclusivity because my pedicure needs are sporadic and always happen on a whim. I drove around until I saw this shop near the house. "Honey Dipp." Cute name. I did a quick Yelp review and looked only at the rating and decided to give it a shop. Walked in and immediately was aware that I'm was the only Asian here. Long story short, this ended up being a great experience. I had "Q" who did a fantastic job. When I say she did a great job, I mean, she was inspecting each one of my toe nails like a jeweler inspecting a diamond. She actually scrubbed the rough spots on my feet and took time to make sure the polish was on perfectly. Even though there were a few people in the shop, I did not once feel rushed or uncomfortable. Plus, one of the employees had her kid there who was seriously one of the cutest freakin kids I've ever seen running around offering me Ritz crackers. If you're in the area, come give these ladies some support. I was very impressed and will be back!

This is so they are able to charge if you are late or a no show. I was told by them that they expect clients to be accountable as they are, so I went along with it because I understood. They will charge me if I am late but give 15% off if they are late as well. First appt was ok but they were late. I had to wait about 15 or 20 min. The appt for hard gel I had took 3 hours! Yet I was ok. I was trusting them and the process. I made my next 2 appts at that time. The second visit took just as long if not longer. I had plans but was not able to keep them as they were because the appt took so long. I never got the chance to go to the third appt which I made two months prior and had planned right before a vacation. They sent a text the day before asking if it was ok to move my appt to a new tine. I declined because again I had plans for that day. They then sent multiple confusing texts asking me to change my appt time which I didn't understand when they originally asked and I declined. They finally called and confirmed my original appt. They then sent a text on the day of my appt two hours before to say the tech had the flu and they would have to reschedule me and gave me 5 or so random appt choices during the morning hours as if I don't work. So very unprofessional. If you value your time do not waste it on this establishment. I overlooked the contract, the high prices and the long timeframe for the service but I will not compromise on how I am treated. I will never go back and I encourage you to not waste your time or money with this establishment either. Value yourself, your time and your money!

This one was a flop, I may try a different "castle nail spa" but I say stay away from this one unless you have to go. I came with a friend and of course we wanted to sit together. I informed the front we were both getting mani pedis and my friend would be there shortly. She arrived about 10 minutes later sat down and about 10 minutes after sitting her down next to me the I form her she can't sit there because there isn't enough room for the guy to work on her. Not only that she also informed them at the front that she wanted a mani pedi as we'll and about 5 minutes into her manicure we were talking about it and the staff was like "oh you want a pedicure too?" !!!!' Are you kidding me?!!! We'll we cause a tiny fuss where we we're really just kinda looking at each other like wtf and saying how we came to sit together as girls do. And finally the guy gave in and said he would just do her mani there in the same spot we would just have to move some of our things around. (All this after pretty much being ready to move.) I did nextgen on my nails which I love!!! But their manicure with nextgen left my hands dry and peeling. They do not put any sort of lotion on your hands or arms or do any sort of massage. so bring your own lotion for after! I was in shock!!! Not to mention a couple of my nails were noticeably crooked. I was too annoyed at that point to care I just wanted out of there. So if you want a sub par mani go for it! The pedicure was great but the paint job was kinda off and honestly that's the part I care about most. They don't ask you or offer anything when it comes to changes so if you choose to go here anyway and want anything different or special speak up and don't be surprised if they give you a weird look. SECOND CHANCE!!!! So I make the mistake of giving them another try after having an even worse experience at the castle nail spa in allen. WELL I SHOULD HAVE LEARNED MY LESSON THE FIRST TIME. the seem to always be in a calm frenzy not knowing whats going on. I ask for nextgen at the front the guy says to wait it won't be long at all. After getting tired of waiting, I sit. Finally a guy comes over to me asks my name and takes me to a seat. Then when I tell him two different times what I'm doing (nextgen)he looks around lost and then goes to the front. Apparently he is only able to do a regular manicure not nextgen. So I'm left there waiting for someone else to come over. Too bad she didn't seem to know what she was doing either. while waiting for her to get her stuff together the main guy at the from calls my name... (I'm over here I waive) he sees e says ok...5 seconds go by he says my name again (dude!!! I'm over here!!!! I waive again!!! "I'm Krystal" oh duh says the look on his face.... I couldnt make this shit up..... he calls "Lisa" no answer... YES HE CALLS MY NAME AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME!!!! DUDE WTF IM RIGHT HERE!!!!!!! siting in the same place you sent me too with the guy who couldnt do my nextgen, waiting on the girl thats about to eff it up anyway!!!) OMG!!!!! Not only did the girl drill into my skin cutting me not once but TWICE!!! but she apparently couldn't see straight either. I did the new fad kinda pointed but with a rounded edge but its like she was only good at file one side of the nails. I Know you know what I mean girls, its like some people only work well on one side. But to take it worse when I pointed it out to her she still kept filing the side I said was fine as for some reason she couldn't even see what i was talking about after several attempts of pointing it out, I was like IM NOT CRAZY HERE THIS IS OBVIOUS. I finally got upset enough that without oven thinking i took the file from her and attempted to fix it myself. this really aggravated her and it showed. I was apologetic but COME ON!!! and she seemed in sun a rush the entire time she had to take of a re-glue at least four different nail because she either cut them to short or made them the wrong shape. this was very frustrating and hard on my fingers. acetone not fun, especially over cut skin!!! Any who I will not be going back but I'm bound and determined to find someone somewhere good! and rest assured I will let you al know, because as an esthetician sub par is not worth my money! its shocking to me what people are willing to settle for just cause they don't know better! read more

I used to LOVE this place but after how I was treated today, you couldn't pay me to return!! I was a faithful customer for almost a year and never had any issues. I returned the day after getting my nails done because as soon as I did anything with my hands, the powder started to come off almost jelly-like. I told them I have never had any issues before and that it was most likely the powder being defective. If I would've known the type of response I was about to receive, I would've NEVER gone back with my issue to even give them a chance to fix it. When I spoke to my nail tech about what happened with my nails (that I have been faithful to for almost a year), he basically said the nail issue was MY fault, and that I would have to pay full price for him to fix it since I didn't want to get the same defective color again. While getting my nails re-done, he then tells me I should "find somewhere else to get my nails done in the future" and that he would no longer be willing to do my nails (um...EXCUSE ME!?). I was absolutely shocked and extremely offended. He continued to make me feel so horrible about it, I literally started apologizing repeatedly and crying in the nail salon (talk about embarrassing). I asked to talk to the manager and told him everything but at this point I'm so embarrassed and upset at how the situation was handled, you seriously could not pay me to go back to this establishment. I cannot believe how I was badly I was treated, belittled, and disrespected in front of everyone there, including several other paying customers. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this place altogether, because if anything EVER goes wrong with your nails, you WILL be punished for it. read more

I had such a great experience at Castle Nail Spa in Dallas! From the moment I walked in, I was immediately greeted and made to feel welcome. Even though my appointment was scheduled for later in the day, they were able to squeeze me in right away, which I really appreciated. The service itself was amazing! I had one technician working on my toes and another on my hands, and everything turned out perfectly. The color selection was great, and the final result looked exactly how I wanted. You can tell they really take their time and care about the quality of their work. I was actually recommended to come here by my trainer, and I'm so glad I listened. The atmosphere was relaxing, and they even offered me wine and a Diet Coke during my services, which was such a nice touch. Another bonus is the location: it's super convenient, surrounded by shopping and restaurants. I was able to grab food right after my appointment without going out of my way. On top of all that, the prices were very reasonable for the level of service I received. I left a well-deserved tip because the experience was just that good. This place USED to be nice. It was closed to our campus so me and my friends always make this place our spot after classes every now and then. But after our last visit, all of us decide we need to find a new place to make our money worth. I was getting shellac gel and my friend wants to get the powder dipping gel. It's only been a week since we got them done but I only have a little bit of shellac left on the tip of my nails. They started peeling from the bottom after 2 days. 2 DAYS!! My friend wasn't happy with her nails neither. They have another tech to do her nails since Helen isn't there anymore. She said her nails were bulky and very sloppy looking so she decide to get them taken off at Hawaiian Nail the next day. If we going to spends over $80 and waited an hour to get our nails done we expect them to look decent and last more than just a week. read more

Love Tracy she is amazing every single time and makes sure that I'm taken care of. The quality of service has really improved. I've also noticed that they have gotten better with getting people who have an appointment taken care of in a timely manner. It used to seem to take forever before. If your looking to do something different Kim is very good with designs, and Hubert is great with the almond shape nails. Plus he's can do them pretty quick. Overall it's been a major improvement. My friends and I love coming here for some R&R. Especially with summer here we get to try some fun colors, and the staff is really good about introducing the new products in. read more

This place is an absolute wonderful ! Cleant, beautiful , and professional. I got the Castle Pedicure and Toni was wonderful. He made sure the polish color look good on my skin tone! The scent of lotion ( i picked lavender) smelled amazing and it was such a nice experience. The front office staff was very friendly and I felt welcome and at ease the whole time I was there. My friends and I usually done nails in this place, the technicians here are very good. This time I was lucky to be a young guy do my nails. He spent time to advise me to choose the color and what's shape of the nails. I chose yellow but he dipped white before dipping yellow. After that, the color is really yellow and very uniform color. Love this place! They are always very kind. I'm used to my nail tech and their co workers trying to talk me into some annoying design or to get me eyebrows done. (Always right after mine have been freshly waxed)! How rude right? Anyways, I have been getting the "dip" done here for some time now and I always leave happy! I came here with my mother for her birthday. We both received pedicures, which we loved. The chairs were very comfortable! They had a wide range of color selections, and the nail color has lasted quite a long time. I like their OPI choices. The staff here is fast, friendly, and efficient. Great experience, always. Service is fantastic. Jason has done my nails for years. He remembers my dip color choice from the previous visit every time. He does an amazing job - my nails look perfect every single time. And he's quick! I'm finished within an hour, sometimes 45 minutes. Also, you would think they would already know that it's extremely rude to talk badly about someone directly in front of their face in Vietnamese, you just never know who can understand (including myself). Tim took great care of my toes and fingers! I had previously run a Spartan race a few weeks before and my feet were in bad shape. All I had to do was mention that and he took care of the rest.
