    Pedi on Fri
    Mark H.

I had a good time and was thoroughly impressed yesterday for my pedicure. Price (value), quality, courtesy we're all on display. Jenny was very nice and so was her sidekick. Now, who knows, if I encounter complications or have a problem after my second visit . . . but right now I want to go back. And recommend customers were nice also . . . it was afternoon and I didn't buy more than one service (although I tipped handsomely) but next time I will expect to be offered - or I'll ask for - a drink - they are good about touching up, getting ingrown (if necessary) out but mostly I felt like a valued customer whether you spend $35 or $350

I could've done a better job at home! VIP nails ruined my nails - they popped off my previous dip nails using a fake nail, ruining my nail bed, instead of soaking them off like every other nail salon. The gel polish choices are minimal and they didn't clean up their work. My nails are jagged, not filed properly, and have indentations and hairs in the polish coats. They were cheap and for good reason. Do not go here

Everyone is so sweet and amazing when I come here. I'm a monthly customer and am in love with my nails all the time! They have a great selection of Dip colors and are really tentative when doing your nails. It's not rushed in and out. The only negative criticism I would give- can be a rough when filing and cause cuts so please be more gentle. Other than that I love this spot!

Wtf am I supposed to do with this. she went so fast that I thought she was going to cut me. Get it together guys
    Victoria C.

Honestly, once I went and this short young guy did my dip and they were great, the other two times I have come has been shit. Older guy did my pedicure and was just mindlessly going at it and left a whole strip of foot untouched my the callus remover so you can imagine a strip of roughness it was kinda disappointing but I came back for a simple manicure and got this. Look 15 under there sub par dryer and they still aren't dry. Their suggestion is to get gel for more . This young lady did my manicure with cold water and lotion (not cuticle remover). Everything in their needs a revamp because it's just busted. Pictures as proof. Just rushed and not relaxing or even decent. I could do this.... Two stars because I hope you guys get it together. Yall could be great but y'all slackin. Never again. Sorry

Poor customer service. Unsafe. No barriers for COVID and combative. I came here for a super standard one color pedicure. During that time, I was cut, badly and bled A LOT. When I asked to speak to a manager, the technician asked me why (the obvious, but also, why is there a screening process?) I was asking as a courtesy not because I wanted any answer other than ok. I had to request a band aid 4 times. DURING A PANDEMIC. I had an open wound bleeding for at least 9 minutes before they could find one and cover it My service was discounted, not free. No one even said sorry. Then when I came the next day to get the injured toe polished - ONE TOE- it took 18 minutes and double the amount of coats from the previous day because they had a new person practicing on me. Where is the logic? ALSO SHE KEPT TOUCHING THE WOUND.

Wow usually when reviews are up about a nail place I take the good with the bad but unfortunately the reviews are true. The first time they had the wrong color in the labeled box and ask if I would like that colors they did wrong. I said no it was fire engine red and I wanted a darker magenta. They tried to say it was the same color until I showed them. It took them a while to find the right one which still wasn't as dark as the sample nail. Then had to redo the gel toes. I ended up being there almost three hours with waiting for someone too when they said I could come right in. Then for some reason she went back and started trimming skin again and cut me pretty deep. She also cut me doing my hands. I don't ever write reviews but I won't be back! I went to the wrong nail place and said I would try this anyways now looking at the reviews I shouldn't have read them first.

Polish Change- Sloppy job and cut my toe
    Kelli N.

I've come here twice because it's closer than Onyx. Both times have been a disappointment. The first time I was told it would be a 15 minute wait which turned into an hour. I wish they would have been realistic so I could have run an errand and came back. I got a pedicure and it was relaxing but the Polish only lasted a few days. The second time they continued to try to upsell me while speaking broken English. I didn't know what they were saying and wasn't going to be tricked so I continued to repeat myself that all I wanted was a Polish change. I ended up with a sloppy Polish change and a cut on my toe. I've given them enough chances and won't be back. I prefer Onyx because my polish lasts at least two weeks and it's the same price. They aren't annoying with upselling. They're on Cedar Springs. Make the 10 minute drive it'll be worth it.

Ohhh lalaaaaa!! Nathan was so professional, sweet and very good at his job. Loved the VIP Mani/Pedi!!

The saying, "You get what you pay for" is never more true than it is at VIP Nails. I've been coming here for years and with the change in new management came a swift decline in service and integrity of the shop. While most of the techs aim to please, the cleanliness and upkeep of the store is beyond gross. My phone is always packed with nail dust even though I am only there for a gel manicure, and not acrylic nails which uses the rotary tool that grinds off the top layer of the nails. Acrylic nails are laying around on the floor each time I am there. It is painfully obvious they don't sweep or clean regularly. The margarita machines sit with liquid in them all week until they use it on unsuspecting customers on Fridays. I can imagine the bacteria growing inside while it sits dirty all week. The towels are gross and need to be replaced. The nail tools are not sanitized and cleaned. They just keep them in that sanitizing bag to make it look like they've been cleaned but each time I get my nails done the bag is already open and not fresh. Sneaky, sneaky. It's my own fault for going regularly because they're cheap but I know I keep running the risk of infection. This was my last time there. The only reason I gave it another star is because the nail techs are really nice. It seems that management can't pay them well enough because they are constantly changing and getting new techs. The management needs to step up and clean, pay their techs what they are worth and invest in their store instead of being cheap!

    Coffin Tips - Dip Powder
    Afton M.

I LOVE LILY! She does an incredible job every time I'm in to see her. She's very professional but still fun to talk to and joke around with when your getting your nails done. She's done my (dip plus coffin tips) nails probably 4 or 5 times now and I am happy with the final product every time. Another great lady there is Mimi. She did my friends nails the other day and rocked them (dip plus tips with natural ombré). Thank you so much Lily and Mimi!

Parafin wax and hot towel ../
    McKenna S.

Vip nails is so great! They offer $5 off mon-wed.their prices are already really competitive. I got the signature pedi for $35 and it included the parfin wax. Ask for Tina. She's so thorough a s good. The place is clean. They offer a drink and wifi. The parking is not bad, it's in a shopping center. The pedicure was just so great, I can't say enough how much I enjoyed my visit. Will be back in 2 weeks!!!

The Ritz-Carlton Spa Dallas: Almost $500 Per Person for the Ultimate Minimalist Luxury Experience…read more For my husband's birthday, we wanted a little five-star escape without flying to Hawaii or Fiji. So we booked two 100-minute couples massages for four people--almost $500 per person--and were promised something special in the Magnolia Room. Babysitters scheduled. Work phones muted. Husbands organized. Paradise, here we come. **11:00 AM -- Welcome to Paradise** We arrived to smiles and were told we'd be escorted to Magnolia after changing. Eventually, the ladies made it there. Our husbands did not. Apparently, "Couples Massage" at The Ritz begins by separating the couples and seeing whether they can eventually locate each other. Luxury team building. Magnolia was lovely: peaceful, elegant and so corporate-looking we had an urge to check our work email. The birthday refreshments? Gummy bears and sugary pretzels in glass vases. Nothing says "five-star celebration" quite like the CVS snack aisle presented in crystal. About 30 minutes later, our husbands finally found us. Champagne? No. Mimosas? No. Birthday setup? No. But perhaps we misunderstood. At The Ritz, **YOU are the celebration.** Why need champagne when you're breathing Ritz-Carlton air? Please be grateful. **12:00 PM -- FIND YOUR MASSEUSE** Massage time arrived. Our therapists did not. So began another complimentary Ritz amenity: "The Great Masseuse Scavenger Hunt." Eventually we found our way back, only to sit in an almost empty waiting room while therapists walked past us for about ten minutes, apparently looking for us. Perhaps invisibility is another complimentary wellness treatment. Finally: our luxurious 100-minute full-body massage with CBD oil and aromatherapy. **Welcome to Minimalist Urban Chic Massage™.** My request: firm upper body, medium lower body. My left arm? Apparently unnecessary. My right leg? Optional. My back? Touched so delicately I wondered if my therapist thought I was antique porcelain. Warm towels on my feet? No. Under my neck? No. Cold feet? -Customer responsibility. Cold neck? - Poor planning. Why warm the back muscles when we're barely going to massage them anyway? Efficiency. My massage ended before my husband's, leaving me sitting cold, listening to relaxing music and thinking, "I hope our friends are having a better experience." They weren't. My friend's husband came out with visible scratches on his back, which he said came from his therapist's nails. Now THAT is personalized service. Some spas charge extra for exfoliation. Apparently ours was included. **BUT THEN CAME CRAIG.** We didn't complain at the front desk because I didn't want to ruin my husband's birthday. I called management afterward, expecting someone to care. Enter "Craig: Defender of the Ritz" -- a man whose loyalty should be studied by military historians. I explained my massage. Craig defended the Ritz. I explained our friend came out with scratches. Craig informed me their therapists don't have long nails. **CHECKMATE, CUSTOMER.** Perhaps our friend scratched his own back while lying face-down. Perhaps a small woodland creature entered the treatment room. We may never know. I expected, "I'm sorry. This isn't the experience we want our guests to have." Instead, I felt questioned and dismissed. If the Titanic had Craig aboard, I imagine him standing proudly on deck saying: "With all due respect, ma'am, our ships don't hit icebergs." Craig, we salute you. Almost $500 per person taught us about "Minimalist Ritz Luxury" less massage, less warmth, less celebration, less customer service. More gummy bears. Luxury isn't marble, robes or a famous name. It's attention to detail, making guests feel cared for and listening when something goes wrong. And luxury isn't charging almost $500 for a massage because the building says Ritz-Carlton on the outside. If you're looking for paradise without leaving Dallas, keep looking. But if you're looking for an almost $500 massage, a complimentary scavenger hunt, optional body parts, cold feet, mystery scratches, CVS snacks in elegant glassware, and the opportunity to debate your own experience afterward... The Ritz-Carlton Spa Dallas has you covered.

She's 41, this is her first baby. It will probably be her ONLY baby. The women's body is crazy like that. Happy I'm able to decide what I want to do with my body. Tangent. I booked 2 massages. A maternity one and a regular Swedish massage. My friend goes in right before the appointment time. Perfect! My turn is coming right? Someone calls my name. Oops. She meant Catherine. Not Caroline. Idk that mistake happens often. I know because I have a sister whose name is Catherine. So I sit down. 20 minutes after my appointment time, the manager comes in and tells me the therapist didn't show up and they're fully committed today. (No wonder they confirmed the appointment a million times) she basically said "you ain't getting your massage today" but, nicer, wayyy nicer lol Am I annoyed? 100% Am I irritated? Totally I text my husband who is the rational one in the relationship and he said "give them some grace, it's not their fault someone didn't show up to work." He is right. They totally made up for it. I did the halotherapy which is this salt treatment thing and we got 2 pedicures. She even ended up comping my friends massage. The whole thing was comped. Honestly, she didn't have to do that. I could sense that she REALLY felt bad. Sometimes people apologize because they feel like they have to and it's not genuine. She was genuine. If I was a local, I'd come back just for the service. My friend loved her massage and really that's all that matters. (I have one scheduled in San Diego at the end of the month anyways) #firstworldproblems I hope my therapist is okay.
