Ideal Windows & Doors - Water gets behind siding

I work construction as well and told them if they needed anything or found anything to let me know. The first day we came into our house we were excited snd within minutes I started seeing issues. All the caulk around every window was cracking. It hadn't even been a month yet. The trim was crooked. They put our fascia over our drip edge so water was getting behind our fascia. Then when we brought these matters up to Rick we were told they were on a multi million dollar lead deal snd he'd get bsck to me. They had caulked our weep holes on our windows so water couldn't escape. For those who don't know what a weep hole is, it's a hole or holes to allow water to escape the window if water gets in. They caulked alot of them shut. Which can cause alot water damage. Then they left being gaps between roof and siding where water could get in again and wreak havoc. When I brought this to Rick's attention I was told I had needles in my attic and this wasn't HGTV home make over and I got free work. They got paid 223,000 dollars and they didn't even put a bid in on the job. We met 2 or 3 other contractors and we liked all of them. But the state wanted this guy to do the work and I have no clue why. They used different lumber on windows and doors. They didn't paint alot of the trim. And again when I brought this up he said use your expertise and fix it yourself. Then he's having lawyers call us and threatening us for giving honest reviews. Some of the trim pieces weren't even nailed, just held up by caulk ( which cracked and fell) look at pictures and you decide.

The salesperson, Matt, gave us a demonstration, and after we made a decision, our windows were measured. We made a downpayment, and in less than a month, our new windows were installed. They are stunning and a great value for the money. The installation team was professional and amiable, and the whole staff was impressive. For anyone in search of top-notch customer service, timely follow-up, promptness, professionalism, and gorgeous windows, Ideal Windows & Doors is the company to contact. We absolutely enjoyed working with everyone and especially love our new windows!

The Mr. Handyman tech did find some additional repairs that needed to be done and did so efficiently. Overall charge was very reasonable and work quality was very high. The remaining three projects were not completed.  Two projects were declined on-site due to "code issues", which should have been identified and communicated during the estimating process and not included in the original quote.  The fifth project was dismissed with the explanation that nothing could be done. Despite no work being performed on three of the five projects, I was charged with the full estimate of $940 for just 4 hours of labor.  Charging for work that wasn't performed is unacceptable.   In addition, the technician arrived 75 late and his demeanor throughout the visit was rude and unprofessional.  He did not demonstrate the level of skill or professionalism I expect from a trained technician. Based on the incomplete work, the unexpected charges, and the unprofessional conduct, I cannot recommend this company.

We hired Extreme Exteriors after consultation due to an incomplete job by a different landscaper…read morelast summer. We didn't know what to expect. Our prior experience had left us with an unfinished job that didn't meet our expectations. We did not know if our expectations had been unrealistic. Guess what, they weren't!!! Extreme Exteriors came in and completely redid our 1550 sq ft patio for a very fair price, built us a deck and regraded our lawn and seeded. When we originally hired them it was to redo the patio which they discovered had an insufficient base by the other contractor. They quickly came in, pulled up the pavers and the base, redid the base, relaid the pavers in a beautiful pattern and then finished it. It's beautiful!!!! And they were done in two weeks with a deck added!! Because of how nice it looked, the speed of delivery and the professionalism of the owner and his team, we then asked that they quote redoing our lawn, doing a concrete pad for a swim spa and some additional finishing items. 4 weeks and our entire lawn and patio is complete and usable. We are just waiting for the grass to grow. We are now asking them for help with selecting plants and trees. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend them. They are trustworthy, hardworking and knowledgeable. I would joke to my husband about there being 5 guys here and each time I looked out the window they were each actively working!!! If I have other landscaping needs in the future, Extreme Exterior will be the first and only place I will go!!

We have received many compliments on all of the projects that they have done for us.

We had Terry remodel our 1940s bathroom - electrical, plumbing, tile, tub, painting, toilet, sink,…read morelighting, cabinet, exhaust fan, grab bars, counter, plaster repair - the works! It's now been about 4 months since he finished the work and each day I look at our new bathroom and think "wow!' He did a great job! He was patient and always responsive to any questions or issues, and cleaned up each day. Great workmanship too. He started out by measuring and answering any questions we had, offering ideas here and there but letting us make our own decisions. Unlike some other contractors, he did not give fancy 3D architectural renderings, nor did he accompany us to each supplier to pick out products. Here's what his process was, which was perfect for us. We received a proposal contract which listed each item or task, along with a cost allowance for each item. If we chose something more expensive than its allowance, the final price would reflect the increase. If what we chose cost less than the allowance, the final cost would go down by that much. So we had a bottom line price from the start and would have the final decision on expenses. He then also gave us a list of his suggested suppliers from which to pick out all of the products. We worked with those suppliers to make selections at their respective showrooms (they work with TLC regularly), and they forwarded our selections to Terry. A few selections we made were from suppliers not on his list, which was fine, but the places he suggested were where most of the items came from. When all selections were made, he provided us with a revised proposal contract reflecting our selections and revised costs. Then he - not us - did the ordering from each vendor to insure that all of the parts and pieces fit together and would work, plus that way his contractor discount was applied. His final contract to us was transparent and showed all prices. No additional markups, no change order fees, no nonsense. If someone wants computer-generated architectural renderings, having him present at each supplier meeting, one central showroom where every needed product and samples are all in one place, then this type of contractor isn't likely for you. If however, you want a remodeling contractor that not only provides the quote but also does the actual work himself, with reliable suppliers that work with him, with a fair price and a minimal amount of stress (if that's possible lol), then TLC's a good choice. Would we recommend TLC Contracting? If you haven't it already guessed: the answer is absolutely!
