The rep showed up and looked at the jacks in the walls, saw them going into the utility room (into an outdated cat-5 switch) and determined that another rep should come out to "set it all up". I then get an email with a bid of $675 and although I felt that was high, I told them to go ahead. Another rep came out, cut off the ends of the already wired cat-5 cords, put ends on them, put them into a switch, and placed them in what I was told as a "compact" box that would make it look nice. They then tested the connections and were on their way. The next day I get a bill for $980 and come to find out every visit, regardless of work, starts at $150 and for that first "consolation" (which was the tech and I speaking for 45 minutes and the rep offering to put two covers on two outlets) costed me $335. Well that was news to me and I was not once told anything about that. The actual box that is supposed to make this whole project, "look nice" is huge, unnecessary, and actually makes it look worse. Then the rep just puts the modem on top, leaves all the old stuff still on the wall, and was done. If you feel that the value added work of testing the cat-5 connections already in the house, cutting the ends off of the preinstalled cat-5 cords, putting ends on them, plugging them into a switch, and then placing the switch into a huge unnecessary box is worth $1,000 to you, then you will get what you paid for. The DJ I worked with (DJ Tyrone) suggested I ask for two hi packs (huge thigh-high 15'' speakers) with stands, and quarter inch cables. I called several days before to make the reservation. They just asked for my name, contact information, and credit card number. The next day, I picked them up. Below is the breakdown of the costs: -Speakers: $60 each. (You should get at least two.) -50 Ft Quarter-Inch Cables: $2 each. -Stands: $5 each. -Wireless Mic And Accessories: $37 Regarding their staff, they're very knowledgeable and friendly. They answered every question I had without any eye rolling or hesitation. The only thing EMI Audio could improve upon is getting better speaker stands. The speakers did not snuggly fit into the holes, and considering that they are worth almost up to a couple grand, they should rest on something a bit more secure. Other than that minor complaint, I would definitely use EMI Audio again in the future!

I've been using my Alclair IEMs since 2020 and I love the way that they sound and how light weight…read morethey are. I was part of a group order through a church that I used to work for and someone from Alclair came onsite to Chicago to take ear impressions and help us select which model we wanted to order, I settled on the SPIRE model and have used them for FOH cue and MONs as an engineer since then. While custom IEMs are a pretty substantial investment (this is the case for any custom IEM company), they sound amazing with rich bass and crisp highs and they come with a super rugged custom Pelican case with your name on it. Fast forward to this year (5 years later..), I noticed that one of my ears had a small chip in the outer casing. It didn't affect the audio quality but I was still a little disappointed. I saw Alclair at the FILO conference this year and asked them what it would cost to get them repaired. They took them back to their office in MN, and within a week and a half they were refreshed, cleaned, tested, shipped back to me in CA and ready to rock - free of charge!! INCREDIBLE service. My Alclair's have stood the test of time and someday when I need to order new ears I will definitely order another Alclair custom IEM. 1000% recommend.

I've had custom fit single driver IEMs from another manufacturer for years, and they're good. I've got high end Shure SRH1540 closed back headphones, killer sound. The Alclair RSM IEMs BLOW THEM AWAY! They're so good that I can hear EVERYTHING the vocal mic, (Shure KSM9), has to offer, good and bad, exactly. These IEMs put the studio feel in your monitoring, while playing live. I'm a sound engineer and a vocalist. I know the difference, but you don't have to have skill, training or experience to immediately HEAR the difference, you only need the money. Yes, they're expensive, no you can't borrow them, they're custom fit. About custom fit ear monitors: Try good universal fit IEMs. Make a chewing motion simulating singing. If your ears tend to push them OUT of your ears, you may need custom fit monitors. My ear canals are small, only custom fit devices work for me. Whether you need or want custom fit monitors, they are a step in the professional direction, and make a huge difference. Back to Alclair. They're going to take care of you. No hype, no up sell, just accurate reliable information online, and clearly stated pricing. This is not Amazon, you can't have them tommorow. They WILL send you an e-mail and give you a reasonable expected delivery date, (mine came a couple days early). If you've gotten this far in your research, these ARE for you.
