I visited the Finer Consigner for the first time yesterday and all I can say is I loved it there! I was able to visit during the end of the summer clearance where everything was either 50-90% off. I found AMAZING Items and paid close to nothing. I am a huge fan of consignment and thrift stores. I think it's the treasure hunt mentality for me. There are numerous racks outside and they have multiple brands at either 5-10$. For example I was able to find some lululemon leggings for $10 & a reformation tee for $7. They were both also in gently used condition. The owner behind the counter was super sweet and gave us an extra discount once she saw how much we were buying- I thought that was so sweet. The only dislike is that the pricing system is not consistent. They had certain tags that were listed as discounted, that makes sense but they also had some that were torn & some that had X's on them. I had to constantly ask the employees what was what- although I will add they were all very happy to help! Final verdict: I definitely recommend and I will definitely be back! So many hidden gems here and it's nice to take a break from fast fashion. We're also supporting a small business here so it's a WIN/WIN. read more

I have been shopping at the Finer Consigner for years and some of my best wardrobe pieces are from here. I love the store and the great deals that I find, especially as many items are new with tags and there are several designer options to choose from. They carry everything including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Tiffany & Co., Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Prada and more. They also offer lots of sales and the $5 and $10 racks outside are wonderful. As a shopper you may have some nice finds even though everything is over priced for a consignment shop. As a consignor, I would stay away from this place, very unorganized, sketchy with their listing and pay outs. There is no transparency what your items sold for and what they are paying you. I had to wait over 3 weeks to pick up my unsold items because they are too unorganized to get it done quicker. I have consigned with many other shops and by far this was the worse service/ experience. read more

For anyone who digs consignment shopping, ya gotta do the drive and check this place out. The Finer Consigner is located 30-35 minutes (depending on your speed) North of Atlanta in my hometown of Alpharetta. They are picky when obtaining used clothing which translates into the best finds for consumers. In fact, nearly all of my jeans come from here- I have gotten Hudson's ($20), Citizens ($15), People for Peace ($50), and Chip and Peppers to name a few. Additionally, a lot of their items come with tags still attached. Alpharetta is an affluent area so this really is no surprise. And, to piggyback on that statement, I have gotten a pair of jeans there for $50 that still had a tag on them (from Intermix) reading $180, as well as a Marni skirt for less than $50 that had a tag reading $400 on it. They have great bags, shoes, jewelry, and clothing. Since I started shopping there (probably about 5 years ago), I would say 95% of the time I leave their giddy, astonished by the deals I have found. A definite must for people who like to shop at consignment stores! :) Just to enunciate on this review that I wrote for Citysearch in November, 2008, I still love this place but am only giving it 4 stars now rather than the 5 I gave on Citysearch. The reason is that they have sort of shifted who they are selling to now- it seems they are trying to appeal to a more older crowd. So, if you are a little older, then this is actually good for you and consider this review a "5." Don't get me wrong, though, they still have every name brand jean you can think of and all sizes. Also, they have really stepped it up on the shoes they carry now. They are really rad but unfortunately out of my budget at the moment (plus, I am not too big of a shoe person). You get what you pay for. I like this boutique because I can get better quality unique merchandise for less than I would spend at the mall. If you're looking for cheap quality, you won't find it here. The prices are great for the quality merchandise you purchase. Btw, the staff has always been cordial to me. read more

I started shopping at consignment stores a few years ago and this store is the BEST! I just recently went in looking for shoes for a wedding, I left with 5 pairs of shoes! Sarah had helped me and she made the experience fun, I needed that since I never get to shop for myself anymore with having 2 kids. I just have to leave a quick review to boost this place up. I have shopped at this place for years and years. I think I probably wear something I got there about every other day. Normally a fab selection of unique items. When they were having a sale one day I got about 7 items for about $100. Included was a beautiful baby blue leather jacket, new Michael Kors shirts with tags on it. They are also relly good at making a deal with you. Highly recommend and will be heading there today. They're a bit more upscale with the goods that they want and sell, but you get good prices for it. It's in a dead shopping strip but it's worth it. Service may be a little standoffish but they'll sell your stuff. read more

The up side to this store is that they have a really good selection of high end items in good condition, the downside is that they are priced kind of high and their location is pretty remote. Some times I find it worth it to pay the higher prices and sometimes I don't. The staff has been mostly friendly and helpful. I will continue to stop in. read more

I've only been to this store one time and what a mistake it was. I went in and noticed that they were having a end of summer sale. So I approached 2 storage bins next to the counter that advertised some $10 items. I grabbed 2 small "used" bags that I knew my niece would love to use to play dress up. I continued to browse around the store and was even complimented by a young girl that worked there on my Michael Kors bag I had on my shoulder. As I was browsing the store a older woman approached me, who I'm assuming was the owner and she asked if she could hold the two small $10 bags I grabbed from the clearance bin at the counter. I said sure, since I was still looking through the racks of over priced used clothing. I decided to try on a dress from the summer clearance rack and as I approached the dressing room I heard the older blond woman, who I'm assuming was the owner say to the young girl that she put the two used $10 bags behind the counter because she was afraid they were going to walk. I could not even believe what I had just heard. First of all that has to be the worse customer service I've ever experienced and secondly the most unprofessional thing I've ever experienced in a store. You wouldn't even get treated that way in Bloomingdale's. Not only have I worked in retail while I was in college but I also have been consigning my things for at least 10 years. I have never been treated that way before in a consignment shop that sells over priced used items. I clearly did not fit the part of your typical shoplifter and was very insulted. However, I did try the dress on and I did buy the two $10 used bags, only because I knew my niece would love to play dress up with them. After I checked out I asked the young girl behind the counter if the loud blond lady said she would hold the bags behind the counter because she thought they would walk and the young girl said yes because we're busy running around. Oh so this is a normal practice I thought to myself, to assume a customer is going to steal. even if you didn't give them a reason to think you were. I then told the young girl that this was my first visit to the store and it surely would be my last. The young girl then proceeded to apologize for the owners behavior and the rude comment she made. So apparently the owner is just an obnoxious loud mouth all of the time. What a poor excuse for a business owner. I hope her shop is never included on the twice a year bus tours that are organized for consignment shoppers, because I would not attend. Maybe I should have left her my card before I walked out. I'm an attorney, and at the unprofessional rate she's going she clearly will need one. read more

Working in customer service, I strongly urge anyone to NOT shop and consign here. There have been multiple occasions where I have consigned/shopped here (no longer will be, this last experience was the last straw) and they will tell you one thing and when you go up to the register and it ends up being another. I took a family member in to shop for a prom dress and they told us everything was 50% off apparel and shoes except new items and couture. I asked if I could tell based on the type of tag whether it was new or not and they said no they'd just have to look it up. I asked if they could see if the dress was a new item and they said it wasnt a new item so it would be 50% off. My family member ended up falling in love with the dress and it met our budget since it was "50% off" then the manager said since it's a green tag it's not 50% but they could do 30%. We were told one thing ,and when it was time to purchase, another. In customer service you are to honor what has been presented to the customer upfront. Thanks for breaking a young girls heart! Took 8 purses in 2 ana a half weeks ago..i was to be called re: pricing before putting on the floor.I call today to find out whats going on..why i haven't been called-as promised"-KELL tells me i can go to my email. I used to shop at this store 7 or 8 ago when I lived in Alpharetta, I love, LOVED this store and I was thrilled to have time to go back and visit today!As soon as i got out of my car, I ran to the sales rack outside ( one of my favorite parts) , Items are priced 5,10,and 20$. Much to my dissapointment.. there was not much on the racks.. but I was not swayed. Upon entering the store, My heart just skipped beats, it is so pretty. The clothing is perfect, current, designer, trendy and unique. There is no filling of junk, mall brands, etc. It is pure designer consignment. However, .. something changed.. things were expensive before.. but now they are practically untouchable for somebody with my income. I mean $150 for a used Betsey Johnson dress?$89.99 for an Anthropologie shirt, $99.99 for a pair of used designer jeans? You can buy these all day long at Platos and other shops for no more than 50$. Everything I found was 169.99 or higher..which was way too pricy for me. . They used to have a sale rack along the back wall.. it was gone. I left without buying anything.. although had the prices been just a tad bit more fair I probably wouldnt have been so hesitant to continue looking and probably would have spent some money. I spent 800$ in there the last time I was there and bought myself a nice fall wardrobe. ... however $800 would not get u very far in there anymore. The shopping center is empty...
