I needed a haircut badly and had a business appointment thst I needed to be groomed for. I needed to fit it in near my Gaithersburg office and looked on yelp. I saw the ratings and read some of the racing reviews and made an appointment through Yelp, it was set up quick and smoothly. I get there rushed in my businessman hesdset, open the door to this second floor shop and the room filled with young men of color. I am an older man of European decnet (aka white guy). I hadn't thought about the racial/cultural divide of the barbershop. I wondered did I make a mistake and how can I tactfully back out? In that. Micro second of do7bt I was immediately welcomed. Folks made room for me and I was made to feel at home. I did. The vibe was great. Lauren Hill was playing and the banter among the staff and customers was fun. It was a community. I felt like I was in the hip hop version of the movie Barbershop. It was very cool. Great haircut, especially for the price. Allan spent time figuring out what I wanted. I had no clue what a fade was and he patiently explained and tried to show me. Very professional, but casual atmosphere. My haircut was great and the experience was fun, almost inspiring in the cross of cultures African American, Latino, Middle eastern, and me. My barber KJ just moved to Finest Cuts so I got my hair cut for the first time here today. The location is a little bit hard to find at first but it's completely worth it. This shop is located in the shopping center right across 355 from IHOP and directly across from Starvin Marvin in the shopping center. The shop has five barber chairs with plenty of seats for people to wait as well. The shop is clean and well kept. There is a large screen TV as well in case you need entertainment while you get your hair cut or wait. They accept cash as well as credit card which is a plus. My barber KJ is definitely worth the visit. I've been getting my hair cut by KJ for two years now and have followed him around to three shops. I have straight hair and get a low skin fade pompadour. The fade is definitely on point every time as I don't even use the little mirror to inspect the fade any more. KJ cuts all types of hair and I would definitely recommend it. What can I say. Actually the name tells it all . Came here to try the place out. When I walked in I noticed the first amazing thing, how clean it was . That was confirmed by the bathroom . After using the bathroom , I sat down an was immediately seen by Alan . After I sat down and Alan asked "what would you like?" I said skin fade and please groom my beard. Sent Finest Cuts a message on yelp and reserved a spot with Alan at 11 am on a weekday. Alan listened to me and explained what he would be doing before my haircut. He was friendly while cutting my hair. He used a razor around the edges. I was pleased with my haircut. I will be coming back and will bring my kids. It was not very busy on a weekday but Alan advised it was busy on the weekends. The business has been around for about 9 months. I don't think they accept debit or credit cards. I paid with cash but they did not have change to break a 10. Men's haircut is $20. Under 12 is $17. I look forward to coming back. read more

"Twin the Barber" has been cutting my hair since 2011. I first met him at the old shop and had to follow when he opened up his own barber shop. Over the last few years I have been dealing with Alopecia and no matter how much my hair changed, Twin was always able to adapt and overcome. Leaving me with a fresh haircut and still feeling confident with my hair no matter what. He has always been very professional and courteous. The thing I love most about this barber shop is that no matter how busy he or any one the barbers might be, they treat you like you're the only in the shop, and in chair at that time.
