Maleen Banquet Hall - Beautiful venue & the staff is also lovely. I highly recommend Maleen Banquet Hall for your next special occasion.

I recently had my baby shower at Maleen, and unfortunately, I would not host another event here…read more One of my biggest concerns was how the reviews were being obtained. I personally watched the owner, Manny Singh, repeatedly approach my guests asking for their phones for Google reviews and then hand the phones to Heena, who assisted with the reviews. After witnessing this firsthand, it makes me seriously question how many of the overwhelmingly positive reviews are completely organic. Reviews should be voluntary -- guests at someone else's private event should not be badgered for their phones to generate them. There were also major preparation issues. Our decorator arrived at the agreed 8 AM time, but nobody was there to let her in. She had to call and wait for someone to arrive, putting her behind schedule. Additional tables we requested in advance weren't set up either. The cleanliness was unacceptable. The floor was noticeably dirty with visible brown liquid stains near the front. We pointed it out and were told someone would come mop, but nobody ever did. Our event started at 11:30 AM, but the bar didn't begin serving until sometime after 12 because nothing was prepared for the bartender and she had to set everything up herself. She was WONDERFUL and worked extremely hard -- this was absolutely not her fault. She was also the only bartender, resulting in long lines. Raj, the manager, told us he would help her but never did. Even more concerning, I personally saw AND heard Manny Singh repeatedly standing over the bartender's shoulder telling her NOT to pour so much liquor. Despite the bar starting more than 30 minutes late due to the venue not being prepared, the liquor was still taken away immediately at 4:30 PM without making up the time we paid for. I also have questions about the leftover food. Near the end, trays were freshly refilled, only one or two people ate from them, and then the nearly full trays were taken away. We weren't offered the food we paid for or told what happened to it. Lastly, Raj approached me in front of others about tipping the waitstaff, which I found very unprofessional. Tipping should be handled privately. We did tip -- the bartender was tipped very well, I ultimately tipped a waitstaff member, and the valet gentleman, who was very nice, received $50 directly from us in addition to whatever guests gave him. The venue itself is beautiful, and the bartender and valet were great. Unfortunately, the management, cleanliness, lack of preparation, and service overshadowed the positives. After what I personally experienced and witnessed, especially regarding how Google reviews were being obtained, I would not host another event here.

This was for our baby shower a few months ago, and the owner was extremely dismissive, rude, and unaccommodating especially toward my fiancée while she was pregnant. When my fiancée called to discuss a few issues that could have easily been resolved, she was repeatedly interrupted, cut off, and not given the opportunity to speak. What made things worse was the handling of our deposit. We were refused a full refund over an ugly, dirty chair that was unintentionally used during the event. Considering the circumstances, we felt the response was completely unreasonable and unfair. It's disappointing because the space itself is nice, but the way we were treated left a very bad impression. Customer service and professionalism matter, especially when people are trusting you with an important milestone like a baby shower. I personally would never book this venue again, and I would not recommend it to anyone. The space may look nice, but the way customers are treated matters just as much.

The whole facility is grand, clean, and quite lovely. There's a beautiful garden area where he had our photographer take pictures. As my wife and I were planning this whole ordeal ourselves, we relied heavily on the Inn's guidance and recommendations. For the most part, they did not let us down. Julia, our wedding planner, helped us every step of the way. And she was great! As were Mary, the maître d,' and Courtney, my wife's adorable bridal attendant. All 3 of these women really did their darndest to help the whole thing come together and go as smoothly as possible. Even down to packing the food up after the party ended (we spent so much time schmoozing, we barely had any time to eat!) And a brief aside about the food: This was one of the few weddings I've (attended?) where all the guests RAVED about the food. May the Inn at New Hyde Park still stand 10 years from now so my wife and I can hold our 10-year anniversary bash here!

The property itself is aesthetically pleasing, and the parking valet was friendly and professional, but everything beyond that was... pretty bad. There was no staff in the reception area to provide directions, so guests had to wander the building aimlessly trying to find a room full of people they recognized. A buffet was served, and the salad was fine, but everything else was almost inedible. In particular, the creamy sauces on the pastas and meats were lumpy, oily, and congealed. I noticed that many people left food untouched on their plates, which is unusual as we are a family that is not shy about eating. The waitstaff was unfriendly and/or distracted and failed to provide the basic level of service that would customarily be expected with a buffet style event. At the end, Italian style cookies were brought out- they were good, so probably made elsewhere- and the coffee was not served for probably an additional half hour. While people were still drinking said coffee, the waitstaff began cleaning up- including reaching over people to clear tables and moving chairs- 45 minutes before the event ended. I got the overall impression that the management is more concerned with spending the afternoon preparing for whatever events are taking place that evening than with making sure afternoon guests have a passable experience.

Coming here was certainly a treat. The venue is not far from my home in Mineola (which is also a positive.) A very easy ride and I self parked in the large lot behind the CC. I love photographing smaller (under 250 people) events. It almost like you get to meet all the guests and picture taking becomes almost personal. This venue is large enough for that party and easy to navigate while photographing people in the different rooms. The team here is AMAZING. They were all incredibly helpful and friendly. My group shot (picture displayed) was different than I expected and they were kind enough to give me an oversized ladder to use. Food was terrific. Fresh and tasty... What needed to be hot was... and what needed to be cold was just that. There was plenty of food and I'm very confident that no one could have left hungry. There is a certainty an intimacy when the team and party goers can work so close together. You can see from the other five star reviews that my opinions are shared by many others. This venue is a winner. KUDOs to the team at the Stewart Manor Country Club.

I had been to the venue twice before--my sister got married here and a friend had a bridal shower--so I already knew it was beautiful. But hosting our wedding here was something truly special. From the very first meeting, the staff made us feel welcomed, cared for, and completely confident that our day would be in good hands. The venue itself is gorgeous with a warm, slightly rustic, homey charm, but the real standout is the staff. They are some of the kindest, most accommodating people you will ever meet. We didn't even bother touring other venues because we just knew this was the place--and we were 100% right. We worked mostly with James and John, who ran our wedding, and they were both phenomenal. James in particular deserves all the praise in the world. He handles so many details behind the scenes and somehow always seems to be in the exact place you need him. He listened closely to what we wanted and went above and beyond to make everything perfect. He was even completely prepared for emergencies, pulling out Advil at one point and a tide pen at another... and right before our ceremony, my husband accidentally got water on his vest. James took it, dried it, and brought it back looking perfect just in time. It was such a small moment, but it speaks volumes about how dedicated he is. By the end of the night, it honestly felt like James and John were family. We're already joking about finding excuses to go back just to say hello. If you're considering this venue--stop considering and just BOOK IT! Stewart Manor Country Club is outstanding in every way: the staff, the service, the atmosphere, the care, the experience. We couldn't recommend them more.
