I called to get pricing because I'm looking for a new garbage company. The woman who answered gave me a rate that was higher than what I'm currently paying, so I politely said it wouldn't work for me. Suddenly, she mentioned a different price and said she needed to find a flyer. I simply asked whether the flyer rate was for six months or a year, and she responded by telling me to "hold on and chill out." At that point, I ended the call. no longer better business bureau accredited! do not recommend! awful customer experience rude nasty & refused even when full payment received! since signing up 3 months ago our home hasn't pick up 8x we have 3 weeks left in the time. and informed our rate will double after that time. ha nope! not worth my time of chasing after them to do the very basic job. no one returns our calls or emails. the older women answering the phone immediate accuses us of lying with zero information claiming we didn't have it out. great way to treat paid customers. tells me to leave out for next week. wow! we paid for this week so your crediting this week then. no we don't do that. well you don't pick up trash either. zero apology from management either just more of the same excuses and having us prove we left it out. wow i will not pay to be treated like this. we paid in full and service was not provided. it isn't a savings if i have to chase after a company to remind them we are paying customers and to do the job they were hired to do! it's a constant fight nearly every week. additional they lost their bbb accreditation and were kicked out as a better business bureau (bbb) business and lost accreditation! read more

I have been with Finger Lakes Disposal for over 20 years! Way less cost than Waste Management or Casellas. I've been given a break on my bill and Finger Lakes disposal has always been patient waiting for their payment. I would Highly reccomend them! read more

I have called multiple times to tell them that the driver drives right by our trash can/recycling. Mike told me that as a courtesy they will pick up the trash at the end of the day and next time to have my trash out the night before! I told Mike that the trash can is always out on Tuesday night! I also told Mike that I watched their driver drive right by my trash can! He basically called me a liar! I would NOT recommend this company to anyone! Mike is very rude & disrespectful to females! This is a type of business that calls its customer a liar and thief. Who does that? I had a every other week pick up service with them simply because we don't produce that much garbage for every week pick up. We barely fill the trash can in two weeks. However, when they failed to pick up the garbage, I had to call because it will be three weeks of accumulation before it gets picked up. The response from the manager: I am lying and "cheaping out" on them, because the driver told him he did pick up (he is wrong, see below) and I put out the can every week. First, if it was not the week for pick up, you could have driven on and not picked up; you picked it up and now you are accusing me of "theft of service". Yes, that is the exact words the manager used. The can was put out just to make sure I didn't miss since sometimes we weren't sure if it's the pick up week. The driver can pick up if it's the week or just drive on if it's not the week. This way, I don't miss a pick up by mistake. How do I know if they missed the pickup? Because the can sat out at the side of the road for two weeks. I didn't move it, the trash is still in the can. I would have accepted their apology for missing the pick up and would have given them the pass if they took care of the trash; all I want was a reliable pick up going forward. However, after being called a liar and then thief, I can not give them the business. This is worse than missing the pick up. I seriously doubt if the manager has the proper sense of customer service; what kind of business resort to calling their customer names? I would rather put up with Cassella's unreliability (the reason I used Finger Lakes Refuse Disposal) than being treated like this. I cancelled them right away. Never going back to them. read more

Finger Lakes Refuse Disposal has left oil spills in our white concrete driveway two weeks in a row and has not taken responsibility for it, claiming another truck must be driving up to our garbage cans every Monday morning at the same time they pick up our garbage. it's not the spill we have to clean up as much as the lack of taking responsibility for something they clearly did. read more

bad place! refuse trash company is very unprofessional needs to go out of business! i need to let everyone know this as i was treated the same way by these very rude people! and yes the trash workers at refuse will leave trash all over your yard and throw down your trash can. they must all have anger issues if they can act that way when doing there job. scary read more
