I regret giving this salon a second chance. A year ago, a pedicure here resulted in an infected ingrown nail that required surgery to correct. I decided to try them again recently for a manicure, and the quality is still unacceptable, especially for a 'high-end' Marin salon. The technique is poor; my gel nails were applied so thickly they looked unnatural and uneven (thick on one side, thin on the other). When I politely pointed out the issue during the appointment, the technician became defensive and dismissive. Most disappointingly, instead of fixing the issue, the staff began speaking exclusively in their native language to one another while looking at me and laughing. It was obvious I was being mocked for requesting the quality I am paying for. It is hostile, unprofessional, and the workmanship is below average. I will not return. read more

I got a dip manicure and a pedicure. They started to do gel instead of dip and I had to correct them. The color he put on wasn't correct but I just lived with it because he'd already had to file of the gel dip. I got it on Monday. Dip should last 3-4 weeks, it chipped on Thursday. I haven't done anything - haven't slammed my finger or done anything crazy. I'm so mad. I can't go in to fix it because I am on vacation and got it for my trip because dip lasts. I would like money back. The pedicure was also uninspired - they barely massage your legs and feet and they don't use a pumice stone. It was very quick. For $50 I'd expect much more. I have never left a negative review for a Nail place but today feel compelled to do so. I walked in without an appt, asked if they had time for a pedicure and was told "yes, pick a color". I then stood there for another 5 minutes with no direction for where to go next. Then waited for another 30 minutes for a tech to show up. I would have gladly come back in 30 minutes getting another errand or two done. Finally someone showed up and was so rough cutting my nails and pushing cuticles that it hurt. The whole pedicure took less than 20 minutes and was aggressive and very sloppy. Ten minutes later I had paper flip flops put on my feet (that I didn't ask for) and was told i could leave. I didn't because my nails were not dry. When I went to pay cash, I had to find someone to give my cash to and that person seemed annoyed that she had to do it. I used to love it here. But they moved to the space next door, redecorated, and doubled their prices. The interior is nice. But while my pedicure was fine, the girl giving me a manicure was not. She bruised one cuticle, and cut another, saying I had "thin skin" rather than apologizing or offering a band aid. I asked to keep my nails short, but they were filed uneven. Still bleeding on my way out, I had to ask for a band aid and it seemed to be a major ordeal to find one. And nobody apologized, let alone offer compensation of any kind. I absolutely love the powder dipped nail technique. Deanna and Mylee are fantastic! Deanna did my nails this time, she knows I like to keep the natural look of my nails while adding strength with powder and the gel. The gel is never clumpy or streaky. Heide is amazing on the pedicure side! Also, a beautiful smooth look. The vibe at the salon is light and enjoyable, Vivian is such a kind person, she is so welcoming and accommodating; warm and lovely! She gave me a cupcake to take home. The foot bath was unclean and I developed a rash on my foot immediately and they did nothing to remedy it. I indicated I didn't care for the nail color and instead of changing it, she said you picked it and left me unattended for thirty minutes without changing the color. On a previous visit they asked me if I wanted to include the tip on the cc charge and I said yes but when they failed to do so the nail tech became angry and confrontational indicating that she had not been paid by the salon. Getting a manicure shouldn't be painful. Removing old gel with a drill should not hurt if you've been trained properly. You shouldn't leave bleeding either. The moment you express a preference or say something hurts they start complaining about you in Vietnamese. It's super obvious. Beware of pricing too as they make it up on the fly. Adding extra cost for cutting cuticles. Who does that? Cleaning up your cuticles should be part of any manicure. The place has been decorated nicely, but I would avoid it. read more

I went there with 4 of my friends today 05/17/25 for my birthday and we all felt rushed and paid extra for the deluxe pedicure and my girl was so rushed she kept jerking me around and when she waxed my brows she was very forceful. She didn't even massage me well during my pedicure. she was so busy talking to her coworkers she couldn't seem to focus on giving me the service I paid for. Not sure who the person was or if they even had a license. Very unprofessional. Cut all my nails right down, applied the gel polish without smoothing down the nail to my liking. Some were roundish some flattish, all were rough and obviously the job was tacky! I ended up finger nails of a three year old at max. My polish...gel, did not get anywhere near the nail bed so I had these tiny little nails with a long finger! Laughable and scary. Taken it off. Will do it again myself. My gel manicure was terrible - there are weird bumps (bubbles) and streaks. Usually, I wouldn't bother leaving a review and just wouldn't return. This review is for the unkind treatment of another costumer. An elderly man came in wanting his nails done and asked for fake nails. At this request, several of the women working there laughed and it was very obvious that they were laughing at him. One women covered her mouth and had to walk away she was laughing so hard; I could hear her from the other room. His eyes filled with tears. I felt terrible for him. The only way this place is still in business has to be the fact that it's the only place in Greenbrae, and it's located in the Bon Air center, because people aren't going back for the quality work. I got a manicure today - and paid before color and made sure to tip well - and honestly, I might as well have DIY'd. she didn't trim my cuticles, left parts of multiple nails unpainted, didn't put on enough polish to not leave streaks, managed to brush two black pieces of lint into two separate nails....only to draft someone else in to redo them and have them somehow come out worse. Although the manicurist was very apologetic, I now have a wad of glue on my finger tip. My error was not going inside to show what happened to the manager. So I wanted to get my nails done after not being able to because of Covid. There were very limited locations where I could get them done outside. The experience was nice and relaxing. I ended needing to have 2 ingrown nails be removed. However, after 24 hours later and 3 soaks in hydrogen peroxide (and several more including hot water soaks) I am giving this place the rate I am giving it . My toes have not stopped throbbing since I left. You can tell even from the photo that my big toes are still bright red after 24 hours. I'm not sure if I have any interest in returning after this. Update 2 days later on my post (really 4 days since my visit. ) im still having to soak my large toes in hydrogen peroxide daily and put hot water on them to get the infection out. I currently have an ice pack on one of my toes after my evening soak in peroxide as it's so irritated and throbbing. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I am not usually a negative yelper but I had to say something after my visit today. I stopped the lady halfway through what was supposed to be a gel manicure because not only did she file my nails on top three or more separate times so that they became paper thin, but when she broke one of my nails and I told her a couple different times to just clip it so it didn't break farther, I had to actually pick up the clippers myself to do it because she didn't understand the concept of getting under the nail to clip. To top it all off, I was clearly upset and they not only charged me $19 for the "general nail care," but also $2 extra to take off gel polish on two nails. I had an amazing manicure here last time but was really disappointed today. The two stars were for my pedicure, I'd give the pedicure 4 stars but the manicure was so poor it's tanking the rating. The technician did an okay job on my cuticles and cleanup but my big complaint is that she didn't fully paint my nails. Shame on me for not looking I had my eyes closed so I could relax a bit and by the time I looked she was finished. There is so much space on the sides and the bottom as soon as my nails grow it will look old, and my nails grow quickly. Not worth the money spent. read more

On the plus side: the neck and shoulder massages from Heidi are pretty amazing. Relatively pleasant (although it's getting dirty and gross with time) treatment room. Good location with plenty of parking. On the negative side: Inconsistent, low quality nail services, pre1980's nail shapes, no expertise (or even taste) with colors and skin matching whatsoever. If you have issues with very bad service and outcomes, good luck resolving it with the wiley staff. After *several* tries with them, I am now taking a hard pass on this one. How many times can one complain and take photos of crooked, jaggedy, uneven nails and they still don't improve their unhappy staff--who, coincidentally to address another review's wrong assumptions, are miserable? read more

Fun story: I was getting a pedicure done here last Friday (1/25/19), and about halfway through the massage phase, the nail tech kicked off her shoes, kept holding one of my feet in one hand, and started CLIPPING HER TOENAILS WITH THE OTHER. :O! That was bad, but it got worse. I was already feeling weird about this, because that seemed unsanitary and gross. She went back to my feet for a second, and then went back to clipping her nails AGAIN - and a toenail HIT ME where I was sitting in the chair.
