It has taken me months to get to the point where I decided posting a review was necessary, but if my feedback can help prevent other homeowners from having a negative experience with this "contractor", then it's worth it. At the end of October 2022 I reached out to Min to obtain a quote to have my fireplace remodeled, paint all my doors/door frames, paint the closet doors, change all the hinges & doorknobs, and have one custom closet door made & installed to match the rest of the closets in the home which are the original 1952 style doors that the house was built with. I decided to hire him to do the work after seeing his good yelp reviews(which are probably fake lol) as well as having a friend who was currently using him at the time recommend him to me. At first he was very quick to reply and seemingly reliable (which is why she recommended him to me in the first place, but he F-ed her over too). Unfortunately, things went downhill pretty quickly. He told me that the fireplace would take 3 days total and that everything else would be done within a week. During the course of the work being done at my house MANY things went wrong. I was very patient while he pushed off my project to work on bigger ones at other homes. When he had multiple "family emergencies" I gave him the benefit of the doubt and was incredibly understanding. He would never show up when he said he would, or he would change the schedule at the last minute. Made many empty promises and agreements that he did not follow through with and much, much more. I won't get into all of it, but there were two big red flags that stood out: The first issue was that the painters Min hired showed up at my house at 6:30 in the morning when they weren't scheduled to come until 8 AM, woke me up by banging on the door like they were the police, brought an old paint can that was clearly from a previous job, wasn't the color I asked for, and then literally only painted HALFWAY DOWN all of the doors thinking I wouldn't notice...They also did not sand first even though that is what Min told me they would do because it is what was discussed in our initial consultation since the doors needed it badly. The second incident was that one of his workers sliced his hand open while working on my fireplace and needed emergency medical attention. My husband was home and took the worker to the hospital. He even stayed with him until his wife could come, and Min literally blamed his worker for being incompetent and not knowing how to do the job properly or use sharp cutting tools safely....because telling your client that your worker isn't capable of the job that the client is paying you for realllllly instills confidence that the job is gonna turn out ok. *face palm & eye roll* That was 6 months ago and my project still isn't completed. The work that WAS "finished" started falling apart immediately, the fireplace isn't even fire safe, and although Min promised to fix it multiple times, he never kept his word and eventually ghosted me and completely stopped responding or answering calls. At this point I have hired real professionals to redo what he did. Thankfully I only lost a few hundred dollars that I paid in advance for "supplies", but this guy is is an unreliable liar with zero time management skills, who steals money from his clients, talks negatively about his employees AND his other clients, and does TERRIBLE quality work. DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!! I will be adding screenshots as well. I have scratched out my friend's name for her privacy, but every message with a white scribble is where the job at my friend's house was an excuse used by Min to push my job back further. read more

I wasn't sure if everyone knows that his construction company is one of the best company i ever worked with not because they are good at their work but the owner Mr Min is really down to earth and very nice guy. I asked him for a quote regarding adding a fireplace to my home and he is the first one to respond. At first i'm not sure if he is doing this type of job as you can see on his yelp pictures it's mostly plumbing but after i met him i decided to go with him and no regrets he finished on time at the same time i really love the way it looks like! My family and I have worked with Min for years and we are consistently happy with the service he provides. He always makes time for us when we have an emergency, he does A+ work, and his pricing is always lower than the competition. The first time he came out to our house, I probably called 10-15 plumbers to get a quote and Min was the lowest priced. Work done by previous plumbers haven't held up like the quality work Min has done around our house. He has helped us with a broken water heater, with numerous leaky pipes, with backed up/clogged pipes, and so much more! He is punctual and very easy to get a hold of. There has never been a time that he hasn't been able to fix a problem at our (100 year old) house. I will never call another plumber as long as Min is available - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

Min and his team are fantastic. We had two major plumbing issues (1. broken sewer pipe underneath the foundation and 2. sewer line connection issues with the city main). We got a quote from a plumbing company that we used before and they quoted us $45k to fix both problems. What they proposed was very invasive (drilling through the floor of our house) and did not offer any alternatives--just advised us to use their financing option to pay the full amount. I called Min and he laid out several different options with various prices and explained to me the pros and cons of each one. We ended up using Min and his team and they were able to get all the work done for a FRACTION of the cost. The work was done quickly and professionally by the team. They also helped us get permits for the work and helped us with a few minor things that we wanted to get done(e.g. installing a pot filler in the kitchen). Last night my toilet became clogged as a result of a Clorox wipe being flushed down the drain. I spent 2 hours trying to fix it myself using a plunger before I gave up and decided to try and fix it today. I called this location to see if they would be able to help me on a Sunday and to my surprise they did. The guy who let me out was very knowledgeable and professional. I called at 7:30 in the morning and he was able to get here at 9:15. From there he used a toilet Ogre and was able to retrieve the flushed Clorox wipe. Overall I would recommend this business and the service to anyone needing help any day in the week. Including Sunday. read more

Just had Min come out to check out our backyard faucet that wouldn't stop leaking. Called him and he was able to come earlier than expected. He initially quoted me a price before diagnosing the actual problem. Once he came, there was a lot more wrong than anticipated which resulted in a higher price but he decided to stick with the initial quote (thank you Min!!) I found Min thru a Facebook post recommendation in a neighborhood group. I asked Min if he could change a shower valve cartridge. He unfortunately was busy at the time but walked me thru the process to change it myself. It took a little effort but I was able to change it myself with his help. I called Finishline Plumbing (from recommendations on Yelp), for a garbage disposal installation. Min arrived exactly on time and courteously left his shoes at the door. While installing the garbage disposal he found the real problem was with our electrical switch. Luckily for us he also does electrical work and was able to replace the switch, along with installing the garbage disposal. Min is professional, personable and reasonably priced. He is well experienced. I forgot how many times I have called him for emergency. This might be the 3rd time. The 2nd time was the kitchen sink problem. He fixed it in no minutes. Now is the toilet. Toilet clogged! He told me the toilet pipe was built in wrong position by builder in the past so toilet hole doesn't have enough space to flush thru down to drainage. He opened the hole and corrected the hole position. Now the flushing is strong and powerful. I love to use the toilet very much with no worries. He is the best. read more

I highly recommend Min for any of your plumbing needs. On Friday 10/8, he helped me install a new garbage disposal and was able to accommodate my schedule ( afterhours). During the installation we exchanged a few conversations and I instantly knew that he was a plumber I could trust. He is very honest and makes it a policy to be honest and it really shows. I have worked with many plumbers before and they are usually very pushy, but Min was not and was very easy to work with. Fast forward to the next day Saturday 10/9, I had movers come in and they damaged a water valve and water was spewing everywhere inside the house. I called Min right away, he was busy at another job site, but was able to get one of his men to come out and assist us within an hour. It was the workers day off, but they knew that when an emergency happens it needs to be repaired right away to prevent any further damage. No other plumbing company would have came last minute on a Saturday within the hour. It was after this incident that I knew Min and his crew truly cares about their customers. First time for a kitchen faucet replacement and tub unclog and the second time for just a tub unclog (our son has a tendency to throw things he shouldn't in the tub lol). Min recently helped me out when I had an emergency with my downstairs bathroom faucet not turning off, especially the hot water. I couldn't shut it off any other way, except by turning off the water to the house entirely. The worst part is that it happened on the weekend, so getting someone to come in on a Sunday at the last minute wasn't easy. But I called Min, told him my issue, and he came by right away to fix it! He was very good about updating me via text about his arrival time, too. Once he arrived, he quoted me a very reasonable price to change out my faucet and swap out the valves under the sink that weren't working. Later, Min saw that the pipe under the sink was also broken - but he didn't charge me more than what he already quoted, which was really awesome and kind and such a big help to my wallet! On top of all this, he provided exceptional quality work and cleanup! I am very impressed with him and his overall work ethic. Also, you won't find a more polite and friendly plumber! Great guy to work with all around! I definitely will call him if plumbing help is needed in the future (hopefully not anytime soon though, haha ). We wish we knew about Finishline years ago! Min from Finishline is very experienced, skilled, professional, and friendly. His expertise helped as he quickly found the source of multiple problems we had with our plumbing (various clogs and leaks, big and small) and repaired them all incredibly well. I have not seen such a high level of skill! Less experienced and less honest plumbers would also take more time or would not end up finding the problems that need to be fixed, costing you extra time and money. We had a toilet flange that was significantly damaged due to a leak in our upstair bathroom. There was also a large hole in the subfloor surrounding the drain that made mounting a new flange difficult. We called many plumbers around town, but many says they don't do subfloor repairs or drywall patching. Luckily I was able to find Min on Yelp. Despite my home being located outside of his service area, he was willing to come down and gave us and very reasonable estimate. The job went super smooth and I could not be happier with the results. Min and his team made reinforcement to the subfloor and mounted a new flange. He aslo installed new wax seals in all of our toilets. If you ever need a plumber, Min is the guy to call.
