Hey! Hey! Hey! Whatta Say? $2.50 PBR drafts on Sundays....

Finley Dunnes, a good old sports bar right off the Paulina Brown Line Stop on Lincoln. I use to go here when the Blackhawks were rolling in 13' & 15', such a good Chicago neighborhood sports bar. Met a buddy that lives up the street to watch the Cubs game. The food is solid, beers are cold and the service is spot on.

Had a good time at this sports bar. It's a basic neighborhood place north of the Southport Brown Line station. Finley Dunnes isn't anything remarkable but it will do the job. More to the point, the job of getting you tipsy. The bar also has food but not too much that's healthy or okay for vegetarians. Bars like this are okay, and we had a mostly good experience after stopping in a bit. It looks a lot like a typical dive bar: dark and musty. There's both drink and food menus that are affordable on most options. It's about $6 for a cocktail. Whiskey was poured pretty strong. Food options are limited. We got the Pretzel. It's $6 for a few sticks to dip in cheese or mustard. The pretzels were kind of soft and not as greasy as others. Cool better than average bar. It's not anything at all special but it's okay. The rest of the menu includes typical bar things like wings and whatever.

First time stopping by for a beer after Fernando's, and was pretty happy. This is a pretty divy bar with limited traffic. Decent selection of draft beer and outdoor seating with the TVs up to the windows for viewing. The waitress was fast and kind. I will go back, not sure about eating there but the beers are safe!

Finley Dunnes tavern is where it's at! We stopped by before a cubs game for some drinks & snacks and had a grand old time. They have a pretty good beer selection and tasty, reasonably priced food. First off, you can't miss out on their 50 cent wing special on Tuesdays. We ordered a dozen of the garlic parm wings with a side of the hot sauce to share and they were bomb. Their chicken nachos also did not disappoint - comes with nacho cheese, pico de gallo, jalapenos, guacamole & sour cream. The portions here are quite generous (more than enough to feed 3 hungry ladies) and they make their own pizza dough from scratch! They have great deals on drinks throughout the week as well as $2.50 high life drafts and $5 stadium cups on the weekends. The staff here is super nice and welcoming, they really make you feel like you're at home even if you're not from the area. The owner even took the time to come say hi to us. The vibe here is pretty laid-back, which I really enjoyed. Great neighborhood sports bar!

First the staff are very sweet! The food is excellent, the fries have some yummy seasoning going on. Sizable chicken strips, the chipotle ranch is absolutely scrumptious! Chen is a bit dry, closely resemble a chicken cutlet. FOOD IS STILL BOMB THO!

Really great price to quality ratio, food was well executed, service was both on point and polite. Their sweet potato fries were well seasoned with the perfect texture on the inside and outside. My partner and I enjoyed the pita wrap as well as the sauces that we ordered on the side. I will make a point to return when I am in the neighborhood, so that I can try the mahi mahi tacos which were out of stock on our first visit.

Opened late. No food. Smelled terrible! All of the seats were torn and there appeared to be drinks still on the bar from last night.

The day started off gloomy and gray, but as the clouds broke and the city transformed into a beautiful spring afternoon, the atmosphere inside Village Tap matched that same energy shift -- warm, lively, and welcoming. What truly makes this place stand out is the staff. Even while absolutely slammed with customers after another raucous Cubs post game crowd rolled through, Meg and Kevin never missed a beat. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and ability to stay accommodating under pressure was genuinely impressive. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and ability to stay accommodating under pressure was genuinely impressive. They made sure everyone felt taken care of, stayed on top of drinks and service, and somehow still kept the experience fun and relaxed despite the chaos around them. Kevin's witty banter and sense of humor add a personality to the bar that you just don't find anywhere around that area. It creates the kind of environment where regulars and first-timers alike instantly feel comfortable. Meanwhile, Meg handles the rush with incredible poise and attention to detail, making sure guests always feel valued and welcomed. Village Tap has always been a great neighborhood spot, but experiences like this are what separate good bars from truly memorable ones. Great drinks, great atmosphere, and even better people behind the bar. Even on one of their busiest, most understaffed days, Meg and Kevin proved exactly why this place continues to be a Roscoe Village favorite. My only gripe is The Golden Tee Cabinet. It was three of us meeting for dinner and some drinks. My friend had white wine, hubby had an Espressotini, and I the watermelon-cucumber marg. We ordered the cauliflower ceviche, the Cauliflower wings, and the Brussels sprouts as appetizer. Then as an entree, my friend had the Jalisco Burger, hubby had the Salmon, and I a Salmon Caesar Salad. I personally loved the salad and the appetizers were great. Everyone else ate ALL their food, so I assume they also enjoyed it. The location was actually having an 80s night and there was a Dj and space for dancing. There were some people there dress for the themed night and it was just a great vibe. Talking with our friend and eating made us lose track of time and then it was time to leave but before we did, we met one of the owners who actually recommended I come by and visit. (Shoutout to Marcos ) He is the most warm and sunny person, and he was so grateful we actually came by. We had a shot and honestly I'd come back because of him. He told us a little bit about him, his family and about the restaurant backstory. I truly recommend you coming here, you will have a great time. Oh, and almost forgot, they have outside sitting, so you know it will be a great time when you just want to have an outside patio vibe with friends and some drinks. P.s. As you can tell, there are only two pictures. I was so, involved in the moment with my friend's stories and then the appetizers came and nothing else mattered. We all lost track of time and just enjoyed the vibe, the beautiful night, and time with friends, drinks, and food. Oh and 80s music.

We each received 5 drink tickets and 2 meal tickets. In addition to the fact that we wiped the floor with Kansas, we met some really nice fans from Chicago. They made our visit so much fun, filled with endless laughter and a great time. It was a nice mix of young and older folks like us and the young people were so respectful and friendly. It truly was a pleasant surprise. They gave us their bar stools with backs so that we would be comfortable. I don't know if Steven David, who we also met there works for the bar but he was funny as all get out. He says he's a comedian so if you're in Chicago, look for him at a comedy club. The owners were very friendly and we appreciated chatting with them too. We didn't get to our second meal or order half of our drinks bc we were having such a good time so we gave them away. The pretzels were good and nachos weren't bad. Edible. They also offered free opps for prizes and you could also buy tickets to win prizes. Overall, we really enjoyed our time.
