Instead of heading home for the Super Bowl bc we couldn't find a hotel in the state of Louisiana, we headed to Chicago where we hoped to find Eagles fans. We made a reservation at Over/Under. When we arrived, there weren't a lot of people yet and we got seated quickly at a table already set up with our name on it and lots of fun swag. By the time the game was starting, it was packed. TV's lined the walls all the way around so every table was a good table. No one blocked our view. We each received 5 drink tickets and 2 meal tickets. In addition to the fact that we wiped the floor with Kansas, we met some really nice fans from Chicago. They made our visit so much fun, filled with endless laughter and a great time. It was a nice mix of young and older folks like us and the young people were so respectful and friendly. It truly was a pleasant surprise. They gave us their bar stools with backs so that we would be comfortable. I don't know if Steven David, who we also met there works for the bar but he was funny as all get out. He says he's a comedian so if you're in Chicago, look for him at a comedy club. The owners were very friendly and we appreciated chatting with them too. We didn't get to our second meal or order half of our drinks bc we were having such a good time so we gave them away. The pretzels were good and nachos weren't bad. Edible. They also offered free opps for prizes and you could also buy tickets to win prizes. Overall, we really enjoyed our time. Sunday funday is on a different level here! They bring the vibes of a Vegas Sportsbook right here to Chicago! You can place bets and enjoy drinks along with food specials like their $4, 6, 8 and $10 happy hour deals or the $8 and $10 large drinks. There are tvs EVERYWHERE so you're able to not miss a game and watch multiple sports at once. My brother and I tried a few menu items, but our favorites were definitely the wings with the Dragon sauce (sweet chili, sesame, soy and ginger) and the sautéed shrimp with potatoes. Had such a fun time having a few beers during March Madness and service was stellar, that we came back to watch some baseball and try the food. The space itself reminds me of a Vegas sports book - tons of TVs with quality screens and sports info scrolling on digital boards. While you can't bet direct with the bar we all can on our phones. Over/Under was a fine sports bar. I was there with a group to watch March Madness. One thing that was annoying was that instead of having all four basketball games on the first day of March Madness, half of the TVs were on sports betting odds for unrelated sports (Heisman Award, NHL, Formula1). I get that their theme is betting, but for a major sporting event, I wish they would have had it on all TVs. The food was decent, standard bar food. Nachos were not great--not very much cheese. The standout was actually the side salad. It reminded us of the Portillos chopped salad with garbanzo beans, pasta, tomato, onion, and more. Pretzel bites were weirdly oily/wet. Cool place! Tons of tvs, catch any game you want. Spots betting lines. Super cool. Food was good bar food. I got the o/u burger and fries, my friend got the chicken sandwich. She could tell that I was uncomfortable at the table the guy at the door told us to sit at and moved us to a larger table with much more comfortable chairs without me having to ask. There are a lot of bars in Chicago to watch sports. There are especially a lot of bars in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview area to drink and watch sports as well. However, not many of them have an great sports and betting centric focus like Over/Under Sports Bar. First, this a sports fan's dream. While it may look small from out the outside, the bar has three large rooms. On the night I went, I was in the front room. I went for Monday Night Football, and the experience was great. The entire place, including the other rooms are lined with a lot of TVs, and they playing all sorts of sports. I also watch playoff baseball that night. I'm not a gambler, but if you are you will feel right at home. They even have game odds posted on big screen TVs throughout the bar. Second, their food was amazing. With all TVs and the fun atmosphere it would be easy to punt on the food quality (pun intended), but they didn't. The night I went, ordered the Kingpin cocktail, a Cheeseburger, the Montana (a specialty cheeseburger), chorizo queso dip and the habbeque wings. My favorites were the Montana and the habbeque wings. If you like spicy, you'll love both of these dishes. The Montana featured spicy Jack cheese and some sort of hot sauce with two hamburger Patties. The habbeque was the perfect a cross between bbq and hot wings. Third, the service was great. My waitress was friendly, refilled my water many times and brought out the food quickly. Went to this bar to enjoy my Sunday but was very disappointed. I asked if they could turn on the WNBA playoffs. They told me they would not play it because of football. Despite having so many TVs, some that were playing the same exact game right by next to each other - they still refused to play it on 1 TV. Might I add this was the Indiana Fever game, with arguably one of the most popular athlete in all of sports - Caitlin Clark. They were aware of this and still did not seem to care. I highly doubt there would be any complaints from other customers to see Caitlin Clark play, alongside football. I could maybe understand if this was a bar with limited TVs but there was more than enough to spare one TV. Its hurtful to see women's sports not taken seriously. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you support women's sports. I definitely wont be back. read more

We had driven past this place and saw it was a new bar opening up and decided to give it a try. My boyfriend (who likes sports gambling) and I (who doesn't gamble) came by on Saturday around 5:00ish and it was full. There is someone at the door to check vaccinations, but otherwise it is seat yourself. We were in luck and able to grab a table in the front area. The back had some booths and smaller bar tables, but the tables wouldn't be ideal for trying to eat at. There were definitely a lot of groups of guys here, but not exclusively so to the point of it being too much. They had good beer options on draft and we ordered a burger and wings to split. The burger was better than I expected and I really enjoyed that, and the wings were good as well. I was actually pretty surprised by how good the food was. Overall this is a pretty cool place, especially to come with a group of friends who enjoy sports. It, obviously, really leans in to the sports/gambling vibe, so it's a little too sporty to just go for the food on a week night if you aren't into sports, but I definitely think it's a fun bar and I would go back. read more

I don't write reviews often at all , the last and only one I wrote was about a food truck in vegas that was just awful . Now over/under has left me no choice but to write my second one . We hosted our fantasy football draft here and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place than this . Service was incredible from the cooks to the servers to the managers . The staff took care of us and our every need . We had such a blast there I just wanna thank them one more time for exceeding our expectations. Drinks were cold food was hot and delicious . Stopped in last Wednesday to watch some college basketball, eat, and drink. Number of TVs is crazy, ticker near the ceiling, and full screens dedicated to betting. Like a Sportsbook, just without betting power. Really unique and cool. I would like to see some DFS betting info added, but I might be in the minority. They also have a rewards program you can join. The owner came up to me and my friend to ask if we wanted to see anything else on the TVs next to us. He also asked us what we would like to see in the future, what he could improve on. Great guy. Can't wait til football season! I ordered the grilled cheese which was SO crispy and cheesy. However, the menu said it was served with vodka sauce on the side, but it was only marinara. Still good. My friend got the burger and fries and said he liked it. I had a few fries and they were hot and crispy. In my opinion, the food is slightly overpriced, even considering the current COVID effect. Energy in this place is awesome - fantastic place to watch sports, including the NFL playoff games. Service was slow, but it was the grand opening, so I won't hold it against this place too much. Went the first weekend of opening; owner is a nice guy and makes effort to say hey to customers. Will be my new spot to catch the games! I walked into this place on a Sunday during march madness and couldn't find a seat for me and my two buddies. Walking around clueless not knowing where to sit and a man approached us, asked us what game we wanted to watch and how many people we have. He moved two chairs from the table and squeezed us into the corner of the bar while he continuously searched for a high top table for us. A few minutes go by and he comes back to us and let's us know he found a table for us with good views of all the TVs. Little did we know, that was the owner. Didn't know his name but the way he helped us was fantastic. He could of left us on the edge of the bar but he put the effort in to find us better seats. I greatly appreciated his time and effort. They show all of the live lines based off of their association with a sports book which in theory is good if you're into sports gambling. Food was decent and so were the drinks. We were in a group of 6 watching the games. We were drinking, ordering food having a good time, and then Brad the bartender was yelling at us to get out. We asked why and he kept yelling to get out. Then he said we were not tipping, we still had two tabs opened and had left $18 on a 100 tab we closed. From the start Brad looked intoxicated and would not help us with the questions we had with the menu. During the exchange Brad went to the spanish speaking staff and told them to kick us out, as he seen we were all latinos. After getting kicked out, one of the workers came out and stated he was drunk and had said we spit on him. She told us to come back and we were welcomed to enjoy the bar as long as we didn't argue with him. The major problem is Brad was intoxicated while working, told us to get out before we could finish our drinks, and told his latino staff to kick us out. I think this bar has a lot of potential and would love to come again but Brad left an awful first experience to my group. read more
