The food was good. It was really cooked fresh and served very warm. The service was prompt and staff is very pleasant. We had our lunch outside at their patio. The environment is clean and good ambiance. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was a little bland. The fries was crispy and tasty. The cost was a little bit on the expensive side. I don't know what's happened to this place over the past year or so, but the food quality has declined drastically. I used to be a regular with friends after hockey and the food was always decent. I've had almost everything on the menu and would give it a solid 3.5 in 2016. Not anymore. The last time I was there we were all very disappointed and decided as a group we'll spend our money elsewhere. I have to say that the service was excellent and our male server did a great job and tried his best to accommodate us, but he clearly can't control the kitchen or the food quality. We didn't want to make a fuss so we gave him a nice tip but told him the food sucked. The salads which I used to enjoy were absolutely awful. The lettuce and toppings were clearly past due date and soggy and flavourless with a dressing right out of a bad Air Canada meal. My caesar tasted more like mayo with garlic powder than anything resembling caesar salad. My steak was overcooked, despite insisting on rare. My fries were just ok and my extra side veggies were bland and reminded me of a high school cafeteria. Friends had different items, but nobody was happy. Salmon was bland. Mashed potatoes seemed microwaved. A pasta dish was sticky, salty and clearly not fresh. This place seems to serve everything out of microwaved plastic bags now, like they do at East Side Mario's. Is this a trend in corporate chains? We used to spend a lot of money there --on beers and food-- about twice a month. It seems like they've been cutting costs in all the wrong places and it's showing. This used to feel like a decent middle-of-the-road place, but now it's at the level of a Swiss Chalet, but double the price per person. There's other places nearby in Sudbury that strive to serve high quality food, since it's very competitive. Buzzy's and TapHouse are always consistently good, and locally owned; I'll be spending money there instead, as these corporate chains have forgotten about the customer. They're taking us for granted and we work too hard for our money to wasted it on crap food. read more

Not a huge fan of chain restaurants but I truly enjoyed going to Fionn's for their breakfast. As a lover and extreme supporter of all things Benny; Fionn's did not disappoint. The Bennys are served on a scone with REAL HOMEMADE hollandaise sauce which is rich and delicious and complimented with the most fantastic home fries a person can imagine putting on your fork. While Sudbury has great breakfast places, do not ignore the Irish Pub named after mythical hunter-warrior of Irish mythology. You wont regret your decision......you'll leave with fond memories of the best potatoes and real hollandaise. read more

Sudbury has not much to offer in food so to find a franchise operation that maintains a high standard is great. Good selection of beers. The "mini yorkies" are an excellent lunch. The fisherman's chowder is thick and creamy with a good variance in fish. Will be spending more time here for sure. read more

Perfectly fine if you want to grab a drink. Thursdays are $5 craft beer night with a big selection (they do tend to run out though of some things). Staff are friendly and attentive. Food is a bit pricey, and not that much selection. A pretty standard Irish-style place. read more

Just had burger, fries, gravy and beer but all were good. Not inexpensive but the food did not disappoint. My companions were less enthusiastic about their curry and the fish tacos. I got take out last night from here and I got the salmon dinner.. it came with mash potatoes and asparagus. I enjoyed it, I just wish the salmon was a bit bigger, besides that, I'd order it again. If I ever come here again for the food, I might try something else. I recommend you try the salmon, it was decent. read more

Been to Fionn's in Toronto many times and loved it everytime. I stopped at the Sudbury location twice and was dissapointed twice.
