My husband and I had an early dinner/ late lunch and it was a great experience! First the food was delicious. I had the butter chicken panini and my husband had the filet special. The filet was hands down the BEST steak we've ever eaten - it literally melted in your mouth. The only (minor) hiccup was the server did not write our order down when taken, so the side with my panini was incorrect and my husband had to remind her to bring his drink. We tried out this newish place in the Ruckersville area tonight. The inside is very nice and the owner greets you with a big smile. Caprese with a bacon jam was delicious. I had the Lamb Curry which was seasoned well and had a good spice to it. The addition of fried onions on top of the rice was surprisingly good. My friends got the Butter Chicken & the Filet Mignon. They were both impressed by their meals. The owner checked on us often and was very friendly. You could feel that he appreciated us being there. It's nice to have a new restaurant in the Ruckersville area. Fiorano's has just opened, in fact it seems to be a soft opening as there is not an online listing or social media presence yet. Our host tonight was fantastic. He was extremely personable and very attentive. The food we had was good, but pricey. However, I really want to try the lunch menu which is served from 11:00 to 5:00 and has a variety of soups, salads, and sandwiches. Hope the establishment does well. read more

The ambiance was a bit odd for the surrounding area but it seemed pretty fancy. The service was fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming. The food however wasn't up to my standard. I tried their muscles and they tasted old and chewy. I also had their Alfredo which tasted like alcohol. I know you are supposed to cook with it but it was more like they marinated it in it. The menu is an eclectic mix of Mediterranean and Indian dishes and there is something for everyone. Extremely racist establishment! Don't walk run away!!!! My book club and I booked a reservation there two weeks ago and the host look mortified when 10 black women walked into the restaurant. Before we could even confirm our reservation she said they did not have anywhere to seat us. We had an email confirmation after speaking with the manager to confirm the reservation and the host refused to acknowledge or look at it. The restaurant had plenty of seating available and we were told a manager was not available for us to speak with. Please avoid this establishment -- I am mortified by our experience and hope no one else has to go through this. read more

This place is a gem! Good food, good service, nice ambiance, reasonable prices. This is a Charlottesville quality restaurant but conveniently situated (for us) in nearby Ruckersville. Hubby and I shared calamari which was nicely prepared. He had the gyro and I the shrimp salad with pesto and Caesar dressing. Both of us cleaned out plates! The tasteful and low volume background music was a plus for us as well vs. the thumping unpalatable music we often encounter in restaurants that makes it impossible to hear. I had the opportunity to try a new restaurant in the area. Fiorano's location is near the Holiday Inn and Dunkin' that has housed a couple establishments previously. It has a mediterranean/italian inspired menu. It had only been open for less than a week when we stopped in. The service was very attentive. The hosts made sure we were comfortable at our table. The owner was our server and did a good job explaining the menu and offering suggestions. I settled on the Butter Chicken. The sauce was flavorful but the chicken was a tad over-cooked for my taste. It didn't ruin the dish, just feedback. I was interested to have a beer, but their glycol system had to be restarted so the beer wasn't cold yet. They looked to have about 10 taps with mostly macros but a couple locals thrown in. I'm interested to see if they will offer any happy hour specials. Overall, nice to have another spot in town that isn't Mexican or BBQ. It should get some run. read more

The restaurant was not open yet so we couldn't try the food and had to return to our city. We are excited to welcome Fiorano to the neighborhood. We wandered in on our way to Fabio's and were glad we did. We both got Indian dishes which were great.
