The food was wonderful. I had the lamb and it was so tender, I didn't need a knife to cut the good-sized portions. It was high quality lamb without any fat. The salad was fresh as well. If Lamb Curry isn't your thing, there are plenty of other options. One friend got Chicken Marsala and another got the Turkey Panini. They both enjoyed their meals as well. For dessert I got the Tiramisu. It was heavenly, light, fresh and well balanced without being too sweet. The service was spot on and the owner is very friendly and made sure we didn't need anything. I can't wait to try some other dishes. I loved the atmosphere. There are table cloths and napkins making it formal enough, if that's what you're looking for, but the space isn't pretentious and it's very comfortable, lending to a relaxed, casualness as well. The food was horrible. My wife had Pork Milanese what ever this dish was , it was not . I had lobster raviolis very salty. That pork dish had no flavor. The dressing on the had no flavor also . The appetizer we had was calamari it had a very fishy taste it was going bad . They served us salsa and chips, The chips were good , the salsa had no flavor. The food is not good at all. The service and the ambiance was very good. Can't spend money like that anymore. I might complain the next time I eat in another restaurant. I am being kind with the rating. read more

Ate dinner Fiorano tonight and found the entire experience excellent. We were greeted and served by the owner who was very personable without being intrusive. Menu provided selections from around the Mediterranean and our shrimp pasta meal was delicious. We also had calamari as an appetizer which was prepared exceptionally well. My partner and I ate here about a month ago. The food was good but the service was much to be desired. We were totally ignored by our waiter (who turned out to be the owner) after we ordered. There was a table across from us with 4 women. He had all the time in the world for them. Reminded me of a dog in heat. There were 3 or 4 other tables and he didnt ignore them, but he was all over the table next to us. I ordered the gnocchi and it was good but not enough gnocchi to be a gnocchi dish. We definitely would not ever go back here again! If we had a penny to leave as a tip.....we would have. We love to support local businesses but not this one! Dont waste your time or money. I was very happy a new restaurant moved into town, but was disappointed when we got there. In all fairness, yes it's new and they're likely overwhelmed. But when we got to the restaurant there was hardly any people in the restaurant. There wasn't a host to great us, which is fine, but when the waitress came around the corner, she was curt and seemed aloof. She also happened to be our waitress. She offered water and nothing else. We did eventually order wine and beer along with our entire order, which came all at once after we prodded them about our order. The food itself was bland and my husband's ravioli had the wrong sauce and it was like warm. They did take the drinks and appetizer off the bill, but we are still disappointed. We wish them well and hope things smooth out. We'll likely try it once more to see if things improve. Positives though, the ambiance is really nice and has potential, it's just not an Italian restaurant...it's most Indian and needs some real help wait staff wise. read more

My husband and I had dinner at Fioranos, a new restaurant in Barboursville/Ruckersville on 29N. The food was good, and the host was extremely congenial. We are glad to have a restaurant back in this space (right next to the Holiday Inn) as the previous one had closed before the pandemic. The menu is an eclectic mix of Mediterranean and Indian. The butter chicken I had was tasty but the chicken was a bit dry, and the rice and naan were more American-style than Indian. My husband had the jumbo shrimp tagliatelle, which was also good. My pinot Grigio was nice & dry, but a bit pricey ($11 a glass). We intend to come back asap to try the lunch menu. It's great to have a "fine dining" restaurant we don't have to drive into town for, and that is not just another BBQ place up north. We wish Fioranos all the best and will be back. read more

This restaurant is a real jewel, tucked inside a small shopping area off of 29 North. The service, the food, and the setting were far above what I expected. We had the bruschetta and the Caprese for appetizers, both were absolutely delicious. We also had the Greek Gyro and the turkey panini, both equally delicious. We will definitely be returning! We look forward to trying other dishes on the menu. If it was possible, I would give them more then 5 stars. read more

Wonderful experience at Fiorano! We visited this lovely restaurant on a week night and it was excellent in every aspect. The ambiance is one of quiet elegance without being pretentious. Our party of six had a wide variety of the offerings on the menu. The mussels were tender and well seasoned. The salads were fresh and crisp with homemade dressing. The salmon with pasta and gorgonzola was delicious and the serving size was generous. The paninni and Italian sub were wonderful and the fries were especially tasty! Our. Only regret is that we didn't get dessert. I highly recommend a visit - we are fortunate to have an upscale restaurant in Ruckersville and hopefully the community will embrace this worthy addition to our restaurant scene. read more

Service was excellent, attentive but not obtrusive. We had bruscheta, very flavorful, followed by the Bhindi and the salmon in gorgonzola cream sauce over linguini. Both were excellent, though my partner thought the Bhindi sauce was just a bit sweet. Overall an excellent experience and we will gladly be repeat customers. read more

We stayed at the hotel opposite this restaurant and the hotel staff recommended having dinner at Fiorano. So very glad we took her advice! We had the prime rib and it was the most excellent dinner we've had. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. So much food and very reasonably priced. The wine offered was delicious. The owner was an attentive host and so pleasant - as were the other staff. The restaurant itself was just lovely! The ambiance was very relaxed and set the mood for an incredible dining experience. We will definitely go back when in town again. We might even make a special trip just to dine there again. read more

When someone is watching for customers and comes out to open the door for you, well, you know things are going to be a little different! My wife and I both had delicious meals (she had lamb curry and I had butter chicken). The main courses were preceded by chips and a mild salsa but not the usual chips, these had a South Asian flair to them. Then two generous, healthy and very fresh salads. The entrees came with delicious rice with what I think were carmalized onions. The portions were generous and the entrees were hot off the stove. As we were leaving the owner invited us to the bar for a complementary drink and we enjoyed a very interesting conversation prior to departure. I know Fiorano's is trying to staff up with high quality servers and finding it difficult but I will say they have first class staff in the kitchen! This place is INCREDIBLE! Everything we ordered was fantastic. We went in with a big group of 11 people and they not only accommodated us but treated us like family and had fast and kind service. The owner is the kindest man. We had the calamari and fried zucchini as appetizers and they were both delicious. The filet mignon, lamb curry, and gnocchi were particularly good. We also had the tiramisu and the limoncello mascarpone for dessert which were both out of this world. Highly, highly, highly recommend this place! There is a variety of food in Italian and Indian cuisine. The Lamb curry is very good and has a nice amount of portion. The grilled salmon is delicious and comes with linguine and bread. The pita brad and salsa is tasty and the deserts bring a meal together. The service is good and waiters are kind and very hospitable. I wasn't expecting white table linens, real silverware and glass goblets! This is a restaurant with class, and it comes through in the food as well. I ordered the butter chicken and my friend ordered the ribeye steak. Both dishes were elegantly plated, and the taste was spot on. The entrees were preceded by the house salad, served on chilled plates. The greens were crisp and the drizzle of two types of dressing was just the perfect amount and perfectly complemented the salad greens. My wife and I tried Fiorano today for lunch. Newly opened, they are facing some of the typical "new restaurant" challenges, but they seem to have real potential. The space is modern and inviting, with well-spaced tables that are nicely set: white tablecloth, cloth napkin, flower & low candle. We arrived just at opening time 11:00 a.m., and they weren't quite ready for us, but the chef seated us and took our drink orders. A couple minutes later, we were greeted by the owner, who was effusively friendly and thanked us for coming in. He took our orders and the chef brought some just made chips & salsa. The salsa was more like a tomato & onion relish, in keeping with the eclectic menu. Items feature influences from India, Italy, Greece, Argentina, and Holland and run the gamut from appetizers to soups, sandwiches, salads, & entrees, with supporting beverages and desserts. We had hand-gelds today - Pork Chorizo Sandwich for my wife and a Butter Chicken Panini for me. Both came with really excellent french fries and a pickle spear. The portions were generous and the both sandwiches brought a well balanced mix of flavors. We thought prices were quite reasonable considering quantity and quality. Two sandwiches and 2 glasses of iced tea came to $27.50 before tip. Was there a down side? Nothing insurmountable. As I said, they are newly opened, so staffing and work flow are not optimal yet so things may seem a little slow compared to more established eateries. But they have a really interesting menu and an experienced owner so I would expect those things to work themselves out. We very much enjoyed our meals and look forward to returning and checking out other offerings. read more

Exceeded expectations! We needed a place to gather for dinner as a party of 9 to celebrate my daughter's graduation from UVA. Charlottesville was booked to the rafters, but I found Fiorano's and we decided the 30 minute drive out of town would be worth it. IT WAS. The place was perfect. I messaged the restaurant to adjust our reservation and got a personal email back from the owner, Vinod. When I called to ask him if we could bring in our own special celebration dessert, he was warm, welcoming and happy to accommodate us, offering to add ice cream to our cake. When we arrived we were treated like royalty. By some fluke, all 9 of us ordered a different main dish and everyone of us was happy with their choice. We had chuckled about a restaurant mixing Mediterranean with Indian dishes, but turns out it's an easy crowd pleaser. We sincerely hope this place continues to thrive and highly recommend. read more
