Beautiful atmosphere, excellent food and service. Will definitely return! We went on a Wednesday night with no reservation, no problem getting a table. Our server, Dardan, was awesome. Warm bread and butter is brought out as soon as you sit. It was great. We ordered a bottle of wine, had two appetizers-the octopus and the calamari-both were incredible. For entrees we ordered the skirt steak and the lamb chops. We also got a side of lobster mac and cheese. We did not have dessert but got a cappuccino and espresso after we ate. The service here was really exceptional. Highly recommend!

Love this place! The steak is always tender and cooked perfectly every time. The sides are just as delicious, and the service is very attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. I highly recommend the corn brûlée -- it's a must-try! I am also absolutely obsessed with the mushrooms! Definitely a spot worth coming back to if you want good steak and great ambiance! I recently went to the infamous STK in NYC and wished I had come here instead

Fiorentina. Still doing their thing. Attentive service. Great steaks. Even better Lamb Chop dish. One pet peeve. When placing Lettuce or Mixed Greens underneath the Crab Cake, the lettuce should be fresh and not wilted or on the verge of being inedible. It takes away from the dish. Maybe this was a one off. Aside from that, all else is good. Service and atmosphere still has its appeal, so we'll continue to come back.

We came here for Christmas and had a good experience overall. They were offering a prix fixe menu that included appetizers, entrées, and dessert. There were five of us, and the appetizers were served family-style, so we essentially ordered one of each to share. Our least favorite appetizer was the shrimp cocktail, but the mandarin salad was amazing. I'm a big salad person, and a good salad really goes a long way for me--this one definitely delivered. The entrées were ehhh okay, nothing to rave about, and the vegetables were served family-style as well, which we appreciated since it allowed everyone to share and try a bit of everything. Drinks were great too. Our server, Dar-b, was excellent. He even gave the table shots and joined us for one, which really added to the fun and festive vibe. Overall, it's a nice spot with decent food and solid service. No complaints here.

I heard about a new Steakhouse opening up in the Bronx a while back. Being a Bronx-Born Native, I knew I'd have to eventually check-it out. On a bright and sunny Fall afternoon, I finally ventured out to Fiorentina Steakhouse for lunch with friends, and my experience lived up to all I had heard about this gem of an addition to the Bronx! Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the staff into the welcoming, and tastefully designed space. Although we arrived shortly after they opened, and 3 out of 4 people in our party opted for the ridiculously priced amazing Lunch Specials, our service was 5 star, as I would expect from a dining establishment known for serving steak! For lunch, I ordered a chicken dish (don't hate on me for that!) My husband ordered the Prixe-Fixe special, and opted for the Fillet Mignon (surcharge for this option.) It was cooked to his desired Medium Rare preference, and very flavorful. Our friends ordered a Skirt Steak, and Pastrami Sandwich, which they both thoroughly enjoyed:) Their steak sauce is also quite tasty, although the steak could stand on its own without missing it. If you are from the area, I'd definitely recommend a visit, and I hope to return for a proper steak dinner one day!

I came here for a large celebratory dinner and had a pretty good experience. The ambiance and customer service were on point. The price point is on par with the well-known steakhouses in Manhattan; no concessions were made for them actually being the Bronx. The food was overall solid with the highest group ratings given to the LAMB CHOPS entrée and GRILLED OCTOPUS appetizer. On the other hand, STEAK TARTARE appetizer and LOBSTER MAC & CHEESE side dish were misses. Honestly, all of their lobster dishes only contain a sprinkling of lobster crumble which was underwhelming to say the least. The PORTERHOUSE FOR TWO was cooked to exact temperature requested but lacked the characteristic flavor of a truly dry aged steak. An honorable mention goes out to the bartender on duty. All of the cocktails were enjoyed by the group. I highly recommend the LOVE POTION for all of my lychee lovers. If you're in the area and craving lamb chops or steak, I would recommend that you stop in! They also have a prix fixe lunch special which looks like a good deal.

As I planned my month of celebration, everything was set in place three weeks prior... guest list & reservation were made and all I had to do was wait for the date. Just so happens there was hiccup that required a change of venue. Feeling the pressure I was searching for a spot that would accommodate a party of 13 on a Tuesday with a variety of samplings and without menu limitations (ie: required pre-fix). As I searched and enlisted some fellow foodies I came across Fiorentina Steakhouse. I was very excited for an establishment close to home, allowing me to avoid the logistics of driving into the city. As I scrolled the reviews I came across fellow Yelper Pat F.'s review and decided let's give FS a try. I called and spoke with Danny, who was accommodating, allowing my large party to have access to the full menu. On the day of my dinner, I woke up to a snowstorm (NYC In February), and was sure I would have to cancel. Once again Danny provided excellent service providing me with two alternate dates as well as allowing me the opportunity to make the final decision 2 hours before my reservation time. Thankfully, Mother Nature conceded and we carried on as planned. I arrived to a warmly light bar to the left of the entrance and dining to my right. My party was already seated in the front along the wall of windows. With white table linen and the super attentive alternating wait staff we were in for a nice dining experience in Throggs Neck. We started with tasty cocktails and warm bread (I'm Sucka for carbs). For the appetizers ordered... salad, crab cake, fried calamari, baked clams and tuna tartare. All was good, however no one was a fan of the tuna tartare. However, I ordered the grilled octopus and I could not be more than pleased. It was grilled to perfection, not gummy, tender with great flavor. For the entrées there were several selections made from chicken parm, a couple of steak selections, including the porter house for two. Needless to say I don't eat meat. Yes I choose a steakhouse and do not eat red meat or pork, so I ordered the sea bass with mashed potatoes. It was pretty much unanimous that my sea bass and the lamb chops were the tables top choices for the best entrée for the night. Overall a wonderful experience that I was grateful to share with all that joined me for the evening. Fiorentina Steakhouse is a dinning experience worth checking out in Throggs Neck (Bronx, NY). Just A Note: With notice they can accommodate even larger parties. While I didn't use them, they have several different pre-fix menu options to select from that provide a nice variety of choices for all courses.

Great, food, drinks and customer service. The food is absolutely delicious. High end steakhouse in the Bronx. Not cheap but worth it. We have eaten here several times and each time we leave with a great experience. Wonderful ambiance for any occasion.

We had not planned on going out for dinner tonight only to the church Christmas program. After the program we were a bit hungry so I asked my mom if she wanted to stop and get something to eat. My mom said she wanted to go to the restaurant that they were saying good things about on the news. So I made it happen. Very nice and cozy place. I had the lamb chops which were seasoned just right, tender and a chef who actually got well done right! My mom had the veal parmigiana with spaghetti, she said it was delicious. Our server was Jimmy, he was excellent.

I noticed other new items, such as the pork Ossobuco, which sounded better on paper, but Felix, who had taken over from Irma, stated the Pork Chop was better than the Ossobuco and accounts for my to go order. I still wonder about that decision, but the important thing is Home Bx is constantly evolving while the chefs in the kitchen remain constant and consistent. The roasted chicken is really good and verges on comfort food. It comes with a malanga truffle puree, which is a puree of the malanga tuber in the Caribbean and South America, resulting in a consistency of mashed potatoes, but has a nutty flavor that becomes very earthy with the butter, truffle oil and mushroom sauce, sparked with white wine and bits of bacon that has you thinking pancetta. The sauteed spinach accompanying this dish melds perfectly well with this dish. The chicken is the boneless breast and bone-in wing drumette, grilled in their kitchen. The skin is crispy and there is some char from the grill on certain parts, lending even greater favor and texture you will devour. The white meat of the breast absorbs the white wine, balanced with the butter and truffle oil and never has a hint of dryness. I am certain this dish would have been exceptional had I eaten it on premises. It will not have the impact of the Cote de Boeuf, but, at twenty seven bucks, this is probably the sleeper on the menu. Four stars. The Home Pork Chop is a single French cut chop, medium thickness, bone-in resembling a mini Tomahawk style frenched bone. It comes with a Marsala mustard sauce, which I could not determine if it was made with a dry red or white Marsala wine. It was served with an Oriental sweet potato mashed that did not do anything for this dish in my opinion. I would have to revisit this by eating it on premises, but this was the least impressive of the steak and chicken. Please take this review a little lightly, given I ate the chicken and pork chop at home. The pork chop benefits from being grilled as well, but did not have the impact other preparations have at Home Bx. If the Marsala mustard sauce had more bite to it, the Oriental sweet potato would have offered the contrast and juxtaposition for this dish to shine more. You'll enjoy eating the rest of the meat off that frenched pork chop bone. 3.8 stars. They work very hard at Home Bx to deliver on your plate for the benefit of your palate. Home Bx may be the only restaurant I have found that is receiving feedback and acting upon it and without anyone's prompts and Home Bx is independently evolving in their menu, preparation, and presentation. If there's any doubt, try their Lobster Mac and Cheese and get back to me or ask the folks nearby who ordered it.

For the table, we had the blueberry cornbread, garlic bread, and buttermilk biscuits. The cornbread and garlic bread were really good and a great way to start. I also had a cup of chili as an appetizer, which was awesome, full of flavor and hit the spot. For my main, I went with the brisket & shrimp combo with two sides ($29.95). The brisket was easily my favorite--tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. I'd definitely come back just for that alone. The shrimp with tartar sauce was solid too. I chose mac and cheese and collard greens as my sides, the greens were okay, but the mac and cheese tasted a bit like it came out of a box, so I'd probably skip that next time. It also came with coleslaw and a pickle, the pickle was actually really good. I didn't try the coleslaw, but my mother said it wasn't bad. We also ordered the 3-meat combo ($34.95) with chicken, sausage, and ribs, plus mac and onion rings. The ribs were really good, fell right off the bone, and the sausage was solid too. The chicken didn't have much flavor, but the onion rings were crispy and well done. Again, it came with coleslaw and a pickle. They even brought out rice for the table, which we didn't order but definitely appreciated, it was a nice extra and tasted pretty good. Dessert was ice cream and coffee, which was a nice, simple way to end the meal. For about $70 total, the value was hard to beat, and we even had leftovers that still tasted good the next day. Service was excellent throughout, which made the experience even better. I'd give it 5 stars, but the mac and cheese and chicken brought it down just a bit. Still, I'd definitely come back, especially for that brisket.

For the entree, we ordered the dry aged porterhouse, priced at nearly $200. We asked for medium, but it came out well done, which was a letdown. The chimichurri didn't taste authentic, and while the signature steak sauce was fine, it wasn't anything memorable. We also ordered a side of bacon, which was decent but I've had better. The chili prawn noodles were another miss. It came with only four shrimp, wasn't spicy at all, and used spaghetti noodles, which felt off for the dish. The only real highlights were the creamed spinach and shishito peppers. Those were solid and you just can't go wrong with it. At best, I'd recommend coming here for the cocktails and the view. The food alone doesn't justify it. I added an extra star strictly because of the service. Shirley was excellent. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave great wine recommendations. Very accommodating and genuinely pleasant, which made the experience better overall.

But we are huge fans of the Peter Luger steak sauce & we had visitors, so why not visit this iconic steak house which is conveniently not located in NYC proper? We arrived a little early for dinner, so the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. They had us sit for a second at the bar lounge while a table was being assigned to us. The ambiance really plays up the heritage of the Peter Luger brand. We were seated towards the very back of the restaurant. I really liked the area since it was not too dimly lit. We started with the breads and wedge salad. I love carbs, and I liked that the breads were a little heavily seasoned. Caraway seeds are not for everyone, but they are for me. The butter was not very flavorful or soft, but I guess that's being too picky for free bread and butter before the meal. I chose the wedge salad because I knew I'd want crisp lettuce with my steak & also this salad comes topped with chopped bacon. The same thick bacon that people order on the side! It felt like a two-for-one dish. I enjoyed both the bacon and the lettuce smothered in blue cheese. The bacon really was nicely cured. We got the steak for two, which came on a sizzling plate precut. We did ask for medium-- not my preference-- because my guests didn't really enjoy eating meat not browned up all the way through. However, the steak came out closer to medium-rare. Initially, the plate was hot enough for us to try to sear the pieces. However, I found that the plate cooled much more quickly than I thought. The flavor of the meat was very prominent and the seasoning was well executed. Creamed spinach was a bit of a disappointment. It just didn't really taste like anything except a little muddy in aftertaste. The onion and tomato were nice, thick slices that helped cut through the richness of the steak. I did write on the reservation that my guests were celebrating a wedding anniversary, and they brought out some whipped cream and chocolate even though we declined dessert! Finished the meal with a double espresso, shared a tartufo and cheese cake. I don't know if the digestif was complementary, but it was a nice touch. I don't know how the kitchen keeps up with the orders. The waitstaff must put a few miles on their feet a day and a cardio workout carrying the trays overflowing with food. Amazing! Everything in the restaurant is kept neat, clean, and organized. The music is not overwhelming. You can hear each other at the table. To be honest, the favorite of the night besides the $130 bottle of wine (Chateau du Parc), was the appetizer - thick cut maple glazed bacon which they now serve on a clothesline instead of on a warm plate, a trend these days. And the other memorable dish was the organic mesclun salad. The tomatoes and goat cheese were really fresh, and the salad was not overly dressed. Noticed I didn't mention the steaks. Meh. Other appetizers we had: - Charred Spanish Octopus (a very busy dish, needed to be simpler)- Lobster Bisque with chunks of lobster meat, meatballs for the table, and baked clams (bread crumbs were good) For dinner/shared by all: - we ordered two orders of "Porterhouse for two" to share at each end of the table. It was cooked as ordered, medium rare but it was not well seasoned. And it was more rare then medium... Still good for leftovers but not how it should've been. - Prime Rib Chop (aka Fred Flintstone) which was a 35-day dry-aged long bone Tomahawk chop. It was quite the presentation but flavor profile totally a miss. I did wrap it to go to save the bone and to re-cook - Prime Filet Mignon - lightly seasoned and slightly over cooked - The Big Jack Burger, very decent burger and cooked perfectly as ordered. The fries were great - lightly salted and plenty of them. The sides were most disappointing this evening: -garlic mashed potatoes, see photo -creamed spinach, decent but not memorable -brussel sprouts with bacon bits, plenty of char We were disappointed in the overall taste and prep of the steaks.

Bro... life-changing, lol…read more Marissa (I hope I'm spelling that right!), our server, and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I were looking for a cute, romantic lunch spot, and this was perfect. The service was exceptional, the food was top-notch, and the beautiful view of Van Cortlandt Park made the experience even better. 10/10 -- highly recommend!!

When I arrived the entire lower level was empty. When I found them, they were halfway up a steep 4 flights of stairs despite my uncle requiring a walker and my grandmother a cane-the hostess had apparently told them they must sit upstairs as the lower level was 'reserved'. Not only did they make no gesture to accommodate them in any other way, this is an EXTREME ADA violation, and could have very well been a lawsuit. The manager, Jimmy, sat and watched as both my grandmother and great uncle struggled to take the stairs, no hand of assistance. When I approached him, I was told 'what's the big deal, so you had to take some stairs'. I told him my uncle fell last year and was hospitalized for 6 months, if you see someone in a walker, why would you do this? His response 'I don't know what you want me to do, buy you a drink?'. Not only was their overall service awful and food barely edible, this is one of the most unaccommodating, disrespectful, and genuinely unsafe establishments I've ever been to.

The drinks were good, the food was good, and the vibe was exactly what I've come to expect from them. But let me tell you about what happened after. When I got home, I didn't realize that I had left my sunglasses on the table. The next morning, when I couldn't find them, I figured that must be where I left them. I reached out to the restaurant, but honestly, in my heart I thought there was no way I'd ever see them again. Well... I was completely wrong. I received a response, and America (I hope I spelled her name correctly!) found them and held them for me until I could pick them up. Yes, the sunglasses were brand name, but to me it's the honesty and loyalty that really speaks volumes. That kind of integrity says a lot about a place and the people who work there. I'm incredibly thankful--and it's just another reason I'll keep coming back.

We ordered three raw rolls and ended up with +4 cooked rolls by accident (kitchen error for the win). The staff were so sweet and let us keep the extra rolls for free so I couldn't complain even if I wanted to (and I did b/c there was an error on the bill but I didn't wanna seem ungrateful lol) A total of 7 rolls and good vibes were worth it. I wish I remembered the servers name, she was sweet.
