Ocean Benedict: smoked salmon with crispy hashbrowns
    Lois M.

What a great find! I live not too far away and have been wanting to come here to try them out ever since they reopened after a major fire. I finally made it, along with my son, on a Sunday morning, and we weren't disappointed in the sizable menu. We both ended up with one of the Benedicts - me with the smoked salmon (Ocean Benedict ), him with the bacon (All About the Benedicts). I've never had a Benedict because I don't like poached eggs but when I asked if they could make mine with scrambled eggs and the server said yes, I knew I had to try it. It was sooooo good! And so big that I took half of it home for breakfast the next day. Served with the most perfect crispy hashbrowns I've had in a long time, it's a great place for breakfast and looking at the menu makes me think they're also a good place for lunch and dinner. Can't wait to get back here soon!

Interesting bridge over a creek to the front door. Dogs are allowed in the outdoor area. While there someone stole the trailer hitch off of my truck.

We stopped in late in the summer to grab an early dinner, and we were NOT disappointed. Very friendly service and solid food. Hubby had the chili burger and I had the chicken sandwich. We even had dessert! It was too hot to eat outside, but it looked like a really nice area.

This local bar has quickly become one of my go to spots for dinning and drinks. The friendly staff, quality food, and good drinks are great reasons to visit this place. Be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this place will hit the spot.

Worst breakfast I have ever had hash browns were burnt. They were black and she expected me to eat them.

Stopped here after attending the Bigfoot museum next door. Excellent surprise !…read more roomy booth great menu jukebox music was awesome staff was super friendly and attentive! We all enjoyed The food. Large Wings, tater tots, fish and chips, chicken strips, onion rings all were large portions and very reasonably priced I was shocked. Poker machines were busy but I tried one, always fun. Easy access and can't miss the big foot museum next door. I'll be happy to return to both.

Buyer Beware. I…read moredon't do reviews. But I felt compelled in this instance: I believe Chester's Pub is a deceptive, predatory business. Judging by the raucous crowd on the patio when we arrived, it did not appear staff was concerned about over serving. Yes, it was a Friday night, but it was not quite 7pm. Further evidence to support this suspicion included: #1) The table next to ours having a member pass out, then rally to vomit violently for several minutes (remember... 7:00), which really did not help our thoughts on food quality, which, prior to witnessing that, was mediocre at best. #2) I said yes to the offer of a 2nd drink. Then, before that one was gone, a 3rd showed up (which I did NOT order). Playing the benefit of the doubt (had I somehow indicated I needed a 3rd...?). I went ahead & decided to just pay for that, but when my bill arrived, I had been charged for FOUR drinks, double what I had actually ordered. I felt this was a predatory maneuver: Over serve guests, hoping they won't notice the over charges. It was my first time visiting, so, perhaps this was an isolated incidence, but it appeared that staff perceived it as normal. I won't return. I advise you to stay absent as well.

Hood…read more As we had already had brunch a few hours earlier, we weren't exactly hungry, but wanted some beers. Mt. Hood Brewing looked promising, so we decided to stop by. It was also in the middle of a heat wave in OR, so we asked to sit outside. After my husband snagged our table, I brought our well-trained and well-behaved Siberian with us to the patio. There was another poorly-behaved dog, but my dog could not have cared any less, and it was far enough away that it didn't bother me too much either. The outdoor seating was minimal and basic, but did the job. Thankfully there was shade from the umbrellas. I put my dog in his "tuck" command under me as he is trained to do at restaurants, and proceeded to look at the menu. To be honest, the food looked pretty good, and also smelled pretty good, as I watched other patrons get their meals. However, we were still pretty stuffed, so we settled with a beer flight. The beers were out to our table pretty quickly, but after trying them, my husband and I came to the consensus that we expected more from the only brewing company in town. As another Yelper put it, the beers fell flat for us too. I was hoping there would be more/different notes to each beer, which is the whole point of sampling multiple, but they all seemed quite monotone. It started getting pretty warm underneath our umbrella, so we quickly wrapped up our beer flight and left. The view was gorgeous, and the location splendid (hence the 4 stars), and perhaps next time I'd be down to try one of their dishes, specifically the elkburger, but I was a little disappointed in the beer. I've been to plenty of breweries to enjoy beers there and also bought craft beers/growlers for home, so I'd like to say I'm decently versed in beer, but this missed the mark.

Be aware, you'll wait quite awhile for your food. This is definitely not "fast food". The price point is higher than I expected as well (see menu photo for prices). We decided to try a mix of classic and boneless wings. We got a mix of garlic, spicy Korean, and a mild. All were good but not great. The garlic was our least favorite. We also tried the corn that was on "special". It was too soggy for us. The fries were ok but not very hot. I think they sat awhile while our chicken was still being made. I did enjoy picking flavors on their Coke machine. I feel like a little kid when I see those machines and instantly get excited to go make my concoction. The dining room is a good size. There's several tables and they're spaced out nicely. It's keep generally tidy. The staff was friendly and helped us work out our order. Again, service is slow so unless you order ahead of time this might not be the best place for a quick lunch stop. For a total of about $50 for 2 people with chicken, corn, fries and drinks it's a little on the high side for some chicken in a basket. Not a terrible meal by any means but not a place we'll frequent.
