The service is very good. The food here is very fresh. I've had gyros from all over the U.S. a few places in Europe, and even the Middle East. This just might be the best I've found. I'm not sure how I missed this gem for the last year- FOOD:We had dolmas, feta roll ups, gyro with fries. The dolmas (grape leaves) were great, and the feta roll ups were pretty good-tasty inside, crispy outside. Next time I think I will try the feta dip which is an alternate option- more feta!! Best of all was the gyro (great meat with huge portion) and hands down the BEST fries I have ever had. SERVICE: was great! Heather was our server- she was knowledgeable, efficient and very welcoming. AMBIENCE: not really sure about inside as we sat outside- which doesn't have the best view ( Avalon Blvd) but the chairs were comfortable and the lighting fixtures were interesting & attractive, the music was great. If they could only surround the seating area with some greenery to block the view and also some of the traffic noise- I would think it would be really wonderful ! One of the places we always make sure to visit while we're visiting friends and family in the Pensacola area. The service is great, the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, and it's family-owned business that makes you feel like you're part of the family while you're there. Most importantly, the food is outstanding. As I write this, I'm craving one of their delicious gyros but I'm back at home 500 miles away and they don't deliver this far. Way over priced and food was not good. In fact we couldn't even eat some of the food like the wings. Got shrimp and it was flavorless the hamburger was dry as could be. Mahi Mahi was dry and rubbery so couldn't eat that either. Ordered for family of four and the price was $87.00. Terrible poorly trained. Service was so slow, food took forever and was poorly executed. I predict this just as the two previous operations will not survive. Far to many amateurs and lack of focus. Seating sucks, tables not cleaned lack of utensils on the table. Filthy catsup bottles. I will not return. Maybe if not the worst overall experience certainly was a top 5. I had the standard Gyro and found it to be pretty good. A little short on taziki sauce never had lettice on a gyro before. Wife had the grouper bites and was happy with that. Went to have the fried grouper basket this evening. Yum! Yummy, yum, YUM! The grouper was great. Yum. Too expensive for the portion that we received, but it was really REALLY good. Tender, fresh, crunchy... just plain good. Increase the portion size or lower the price. Too expensive for the portion of fish that we received. I'll pay for good fish, but I want to be full when I leave a restaurant when I've paid 45 bucks for 2 meals with only one drink and no alcohol. I didn't mention that I wanted a beer. They don't serve beer. That's perfectly okay with me, but for 45 dollars, I wish I could have said that we had beers with our meal. We had a water and an Iced tea. This meal was very expensive for the portion of fish that we received. Other than the expense, it was very good. Although, i have to say that we didn't receive any utensils. It's been awhile since we've been there, but date night is tonight, and my hubby and I are going again because this place left such an impression. We were able to sit outside and the atmosphere was lovely. I adore that there are outside heaters if it does happen to get a little cold. The food was delicious. We were offered homemade Baclava for dessert, but we declined since we never purchase dessert. Boy was that a mistake! I've been thinking about it ever since and can't wait to try it this time. The owner is from Turkey if I remember correctly. Try this place! You won't regret it. Don't let a negative review keep you from this place. Taste is subjective.
