I usually do not give a review less than 3 stars, but today was an exception. We got the gyro sandwich with fries and two drinks plus Kibeh for starters. One good thing, I like the location. The dining room better than the downtown location. Now for the bad. $30 for two sandwiches and to add fries it was an extra $12. That is $42 for two gyro with fries ($21 each) NOT WORTH IT!!! In addition to the $12 combo up charge, we were charged separately for two sodas. So $6 for french fries that is made by Ore Ida's was unnecessary. May be $2 is acceptable. Our check for lunch including tips was $75!!! I understand times are hard and everyone is raising their prices after COVID, but that was 6 years ago!!! STOP taking advantage of your consumers. We are not standing for it anymore. It unacceptable! Customer deserves quality and value! Period. Moving forward, if I visit a restaurant raising their prices just to take advantage of their consumer I will give them 1 star. Unfortunately, this place was the first 1 star. They've earned it. The quality is not consistent with downtown location, the Kibeh taste like someone spilled a bottle ground cinnamon. Yuck! Just had the worst gyro that I have ever had. When we got there, the order was not ready, and the guy came from the back and said "oh yeah, forgot to put the order in. When I received my food. My meat was dry and burned. My baklava was the size of 2 postage stamps for 699 and it was still frozen. Very unhappy and I will not come here again. We sat there for 45 minutes waiting for them to prepare our food. The shawarma was NOT shawarma and the kufta was made of unseasoned ground beef. It was so bland. It wasn't like they were super busy. I had never tried Hookah before so Jordan Valley was my first experience with it. My friend wanted me to try it so I obliged. She ordered peach and mint flavors. It didn't take long for the wait staff to come back with the hookah setup. My friend told me how to intake the smoke. It was simple enough. I had no idea what I was doing. I was blowing smoke through my nose the first few times I exhaled the smoke. My friend told me that doesn't usually happen the first time you smoke. The flavor was good. I think I tasted more of the peach than the mint. It was a nice experience. We were seated in outside area. There was a little wind and it added to the atmosphere. read more

My buddy and I was looking for a Sunday lunch in Pensacola that was not going to require a long wait. My buddy recommended Jordan Valley as he had been there several ttimes. Mediterranean is usually not in my wheelhouse for food but he started talking about gyros. I agreed to give it a try. Jordan Valley is located one block off of Palafox. There is a patio along with inside dining. The inside dining area would be how I imagined a Mediterranean restaurant to look. The menu is pretty extensive. But the deal I came for was the gyro, fries, and drink for around $10. I added feta cheese and chili sauce on the side for an upcharge. The gyro was massive and I loved every moment of it! The beef and lamb were both tender and flavorful. The taziki sauce added a layer of creaminess and the chili sauce gave the gyro a good kick. It was freshly made and the fries that came with it came out hot. It did take about 20 minutes to make but for the freshness of the food, I will take that every time. The sweet tea today was a little bit watered down though. My buddy said it is usually better so it was adequate. I will be eating Jordan Valley again in the future in Pensacola. read more

I decided to switch it up a bit and decided on this spot. I ordered in advance so the wait to pick up my food wasn't long. This is the COVID era so getting food to go is the new norm. I forgot the exact name of what I ordered but it had steak, chicken and Gyro meat with some pita bread. All of the meats were really tasty. Only downside was that the meat portions were uneven. I came here with my wife and kids because we wanted something different with outside seating. While it was outside seating, it is covered by a plastic sheet, so you get the heat of outside but don't get to enjoy the fresh air and can't see what's going on outside. It does smell of hookah throughout the restaurant, it's inescapable. The food was priced well, but nothing memorable, yet nothing bad. This middle eastern restaurant was located a block from the Saenger Theatre where we attended an event last night. We love Middle Eastern/Greek food and decided to try it out. The atmosphere is casual. Our waiter was prompt. We ordered a pot of Turkish tea, Baba ghanoush served with pita bread cuts. It was delicious. We decided to order the Mixed Grill platter which included: Shish beef, chicken shawarma, tandoori chicken, and gyro beef and lamb with tzatziki sauce, tahini sauce, and pita. The chicken offerings were both flavorful and moist. Beef/lamb gyro meat was flavorful but somewhat dry. Beef shish was tender and moist. We also ordered rice, plus shared a Greek salad with olives. It was a great meal. We carried food for a leftover meal today. As I said, the restaurant was casual. People kept coming in. We were in a bit of rush to get to the Theatre and didn't have time to try the baklava or Lemoncello cheese cake. We'll plan to go back in a few weeks for a concert and will go earlier to give us time for dessert! read more

Unfortunately, I couldn't give this place 0 stars because I would have. I was here for dinner on 3/7/24 for my first and last visit. We arrived right before 6pm, sat on the patio. There were only 2 other tables in the restaurant at that time. Everything seemed great at first, appetizer came out on time, our server checked on us and told us the food was about to come out. We waited and waited as the whole restaurant filled up and still our food had not come out. I saw new tables sat inside with menus and watched them get their food as we were still waiting for ours. Our server was completely MIA, she never came out to tell us what was going on. I had to go inside 3 TIMES; asking for drink refills and asking where our food was. They just kept saying they were down a cook, which still didn't explain why the whole restaurant was eating and we were not. We were one of the first tables to sit before the rest of the dinner rush yet we had not received our orders and they could not explain why. They made no effort to make it up to us, or even rush the order or tell us how much longer it would be. They did absolutely nothing but blame the cook. We had tickets to a show that we were now going to be late for and still no dinner. We ended up having to walk out at 7:26pm. This was the worst customer service I have ever received at a restaurant. My friend and I were walking around downtown looking for food and happened upon this place slightly after midnight. We were so happy to see people ordering food lol we were seated and given menus right away. This place also serves as a hookah lounge on the outdoor patio which was conveniently enclosed in plastic curtains since it was chilly out. It was a very laid back and casual environment with great music, I would've been totally fine hanging out there for the night but my friend prefers loud night clubs lol Anyway, I ordered the chicken schwarma platter which came quickly and perfectly plated. I loved the smooth hummus and Greek salad and appreciated the warm and even lightly crisped pita (I'm used to soggy pita wrapped in foil). For a kinda "hole in the wall" place, I was pleasantly surprised by how refined those parts of the dish was. My only criticism was that the rice and chicken was a little dry.
