The quality is more consistent than the big name companies where crews might be hit-or-miss. You could probably get a mover that's 10-20% cheaper but you won't get the quality. Don't risk it - hire someone who has been in business for a long time and knows what he's doing. We finished well ahead of schedule - whereas the last movers didn't even finish the job before disappearing - and Konstantin even helped fix some furniture. Whatever mover you take, I strongly suggest getting an in-person estimate to avoid surprises when they arrive. Couple questions to ask your mover: 1/ How long has your crew worked together? Do you use any temps? 2/ How many people and truck(s) will you bring? 3/ What are the crew's expectations on tipping, and do you split tips evenly? 4/ Do you charge more for credit cards? 5/ Will you bring plastic moving bins in advance so I can pack some things myself?

Ron said he can do that for me. 3. Ron didn't beat around the bush. I text him photos and video of the items to be removed and he immediately quoted me a "do it all" price. 4. They gave me a time today and came within 30min of that time. 5. Their crew worked relentlessly and sweeped after all junks were gone. Super happy and will definitely hire them again. The movers came with insufficient supplies, and didn't use Katz' crates or any of the environmentally friendly products advertised on the website. They ran out of packing supplies mid-packing and instead of procuring more, picked up thin advertisement papers off the side of the street and packed fragile items in single sheets or just threw them into overstuffed boxes. Many items predictably shattered. We lost cherished wedding gifts and items brought back from travels that we specifically asked be handled with care. On the day of the move, we were also told by the movers that they don't do unpacking even though we had paid specifically for this service and our contract stated as much. After multiple arguments and calls to management, movers were told to comply. Yet when we arrived at the destination they again refused to unpack and got angry with us for making "unreasonable demands." They ended up unpacking only a handful of our many boxes, and only after repeated arguments. When we called Katz the next day, customer service apologized and told us to file claims for broken items and that they'd refund the unpacking fee given that we did not receive the service we had paid for. But Jon ultimately offered only a $100 gift certificate to make up for broken items totaling hundreds of dollars, and never followed through on refunding the unpacking fee that we had been assured would be refunded. Now they have stopped responding altogether. It's one thing to subcontract out to incompetent movers, another to refuse to take any responsibility for their incompetence. Very disappointing experience.

They alleviated my daughter's anxiety by carefully and efficiently wrapping her belongings, taking apart her bed all while being good-natured and fun. Two hours later, all her belongings were moved out and in the storage facility. 5-star, the best, no BS, just honest, decent humans. Reasonable prices, superb customer service, quality work. What are you waiting for? If you're moving in NYC, call them to schedule. Otherwise, someone else will beat you to it.

The entire crew was professional and polite, and they introduced themselves upon arrival (very different from our previous experience with another mover). They took extra care with our belongings, even though they were not particularly valuable, protecting each item to ensure that it wasn't scratched or damaged. They were easy to talk to throughout the move, which gave us confidence that they understood our needs and concerns. Can you even imagine receiving the news that ¾ of your valuables, heirlooms, and memorabilia--including those of your recently deceased husband--are missing because the movers amazingly LOST an ENTIRE CRATE of boxes? It's heartbreaking and frustrating and financially devastating! I remain ready and willing to resolve this matter, but they have ignored my recent pleas for fair reimbursement. Moving is an incredibly stressful and costly process anyway, but this takes the cake. Please consider this in choosing your mover!
