Super responsive, professional and fast! Their going rates are affordable among other moving companies. I've used cheap moving services for my last moves and I definitely recommend using them! They were able to recommend moving logistics and storage options. They did all the leg work and coordinating. If I can give them a 6 star I would

We used the service of the company 2nd time, and both times it was fast and very professional. The fee is very reasonable abs the owner is very easy to talk to and communicate . I highly recommend Andriy and his company to anyone who needs moving services. You won't be disappointed !!!!

    My text message to him.

Ive never use their service because of the poor customer service communication with the business owner, Andriy. I sent him a message late at night through Yelp and after few minutes I received a reply telling me the quote of 300-350 dollars and giving me his phone number to further discussions. Also sent him the items to be moved. No response. I phoned him and introduced myself the following day but he seems like he is not interested on the call because his tone became different and giving me lots of reasons - that he is so busy that moment, that there was a problem on the Yelp messaging and he never received any messages from me, that he will call me back (which he didnt), that ill send him the info thru text message (which I did but still no response from him up to this very moment). If you want some business, deal with your clients! Additional comments after his comment on my comment: - communication is essential for the business and as a business person myself, i will make sure to communicate well with the customers and use all the necessary ways to get back to the clients. - with all the people in the same buainess that i talked to, you are the last who.responded on all the queries I had. - AND U ONLY COMMUNICATED WHEN I POSTED THIS REVIEW. Why only now? Goodluck to your business. But i am not changing my review.

We were satisfied with the service. It was great. The team worked professionally, analyzed our items, and did different types of precautions to make sure that the will not be any damage. It was fast, we had 30 miles to move from NY to NJ. We have started at 9-ish AM, and finished by 2 PM with load, unload, and driving to a different State. We also had an extra challenge with plenty of plants. They moved plants professionally also. Last time when we used moving services from a different moving company, our most beloved plant had only one leaf left... so we have something to compare. Last but not least, on top of the good moving service - their services are priced really well. Highly recommend Andriy and the team for your next move.

made it! this trunk was packed full of art supplies and super heavy ... oops

Super affordable, reliable, professional and kind. Got the job done quickly and i had a ton of fragile awkward things (lots of plants in ceramic pots that weren't even packed properly/ mirrors/ heavy art stuff) and everything arrived just as it left :) 10/10 would recommend and will use again! thanks

March 26 2016; Another fast, smooth move thanks to Andriy.

3.5 years later, another move and another outstanding job from Andriy and his men. Andriy quoted us $100/hr from start to finish (3 men), plus 1hr of commute time. $100 insurance fee is optional, and it was requested by our new building management company (FML...). Moving from our 2br on a 3rd floor walk-up to a 5th floor elevator took 3.5 hours. Andriy arrived exactly at 10am, and we were done by 1:30pm. Andriy and 2 other men worked at a very fast pace. Moreover, they came equipped with a lot of blankets and cardboard pieces; they even re-wrapped some fragile items for us. Everything was moved swiftly and carefully; we didn't experience any damage during the move. Finally, Andriy is always prompt in answering emails, usually getting back within hours, if not minutes. He sent us the receipt by email the evening of the move. Move are stressful no matter what. Andriy certainly made our move as smooth as it could possibly be. Highly recommended.

    Old stuff, new place.

Do you have a minimum fee or minimum number of hours you charge for?

    300

Are you willing to move a sleeper sofa from Greenwich to Harlem 142 & Amsterdam?

    Sure. Our rates start 300

Is a deposit to reserve the move date common?

yes, it is very common for your own securiy and confidence

I don't have a lot of things, Studio type. just a small fridge, microwave, portable air conditioner, 24" TV, playstation console, mirror, maybe 9 small boxes 2 dufflebags, 2 small luggages. im moving today local, 4.3 miles from were we are. how much?

They would be really really cheap. But... I wanted to do a move with them today as well and they are all booked for the weekend. Im so sad about it. Now I will rent a small uhaul van instead. :(

They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. Piece of Cake are professionals and we love the service.

I want to post an update to my prior review…read more As bad as the moving experience was, Piece of Cake Movers completely changed my view when it came time to address the issues I raised afterward. Emily handled my concerns with professionalism, fairness, and real diligence. She could not have been nicer. She listened, took the issues seriously, and worked through them in a way that felt fair and respectful. My original concerns about the move itself remain what they were. But I also recognize that any business of this size can occasionally have a bad crew or a bad experience in the field. What matters is how the company responds when that happens. Here, the response after the move was excellent. Credit is due where credit is due: the post-move customer service, especially from Emily, was outstanding. For that reason, I am giving the company 5 stars for how it handled the aftermath and resolved the issues. I will use them the next time I move. Emily was that good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you, Emily.

Summary: + good price…read more+ fast and overall fine service + overall nice workers - poor communication - some unprofessionalism - some damages I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but ultimately landed on 3. I want to provide enough context so anyone considering Solidarity Movers can make an informed decision. Overall, this was one of the better moves I've had, but not one that warrants the 5-star reviews I see here. My husband and I moved from MA to NY due to family circumstances. The move was already stressful before it began, which is relevant because Solidarity was recommended by a friend who had a great experience with them. Given some poor experiences I've had with movers in the past, I felt confident choosing them. Unfortunately, things started off rocky. I completed a video walkthrough, received an initial quote, and then requested a revision. After that, communication stalled. Multiple follow-ups went unanswered, and I couldn't even get confirmation that my request was being worked on. After about a day of silence while other companies were responding consistently, I was ready to book elsewhere and left a review reflecting my experience. Within minutes, owner Zak called me. He was understanding, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about my concerns. Communication improved immediately, I received the revised quote, and their pricing felt fair, so I booked the move. A couple of weeks before the move, I reached out to confirm everything was still on track and asked about payment. I was told, in writing by Mike, that the remaining balance would be due "upon completion of your move." To me, that clearly meant after delivery. The move was scheduled for June 19 with overnight delivery on June 20. The crew was originally expected between 12 PM and 2 PM but arrived around 4 PM due to traffic. Traffic happens, and I had no issue with the delay itself. The crew was polite, worked efficiently, and seemed to handle our belongings with care. Unfortunately, this is where my experience started to decline. While packing, I overheard two crew members make a joke about my husband and me. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but it was disappointing to become the subject of a gay joke, especially from a company that publicly projects queer allyship. I chose not to make an issue of it, but another customer may have felt differently. Once loading was complete, the foreman informed me that the remaining balance was due immediately. This directly contradicted the written communication I had received. When I raised the issue, Mike acknowledged there had been a miscommunication but insisted I still had to pay on the spot. What made the interaction frustrating was how dismissive he came across. He stated this was standard procedure and said he would investigate the miscommunication, but unless there is another Mike, the miscommunication originated with him. Rather than create additional stress for myself, I paid the balance and moved on. To be clear, I still tipped the crew generously because they worked hard. By the end of the move, they had received $1,200 total in gratuity, or $400 per mover. The next day, delivery was delayed again due to traffic, but the unloading process itself was quick and organized. The crew followed instructions, reassembled our storage bed, and got everything into the house efficiently. After unloading, I was asked to sign paperwork stating everything had been delivered without damage. This struck me as odd because we hadn't unpacked a single box yet, so there was no realistic way to verify that. Like many people at the end of a move, I signed because I was exhausted and just wanted the process finished. While unpacking later, I discovered our $1,500 credenza had been damaged. Two interior shelves were broken, one completely split in half. Several glass items were also broken in transit. Nothing irreplaceable, but damage nonetheless. Could I file a claim? Sure. But after an already stressful interstate move, I don't have the time or energy to go through another lengthy process. Instead, I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. Despite everything, I would still consider recommending Solidarity Movers, especially for a local move. The crew worked hard, and this was far from the worst moving experience I've had. However, the communication issues, payment confusion, dismissive handling of that confusion, inappropriate comment, and damage to our belongings prevent me from rating the experience higher. If you're reading reviews because you're planning a move and trying to make the best decision possible, I hope this helps. Wishing you the best of luck!

DO NOT HIRE GREAT MOVERS -- UNPROFESSIONAL, CARELESS, AND DISHONEST…read more On October 30, 2025, I hired Great Movers to remove and store heavy items from my property. Three movers arrived, led by a foreman named Steve. They were instructed to place the sofa and love seat in a designated dumpster area. During the move, the team used our bathroom while working in the bedroom. Shortly after they left, my daughter arrived home and immediately realized that her gold, diamond, and pink sapphire necklace -- a deeply sentimental graduation gift she'd worn almost daily for three years -- was missing. It had been safely in the bedroom that morning, and she hadn't worn it that day due to her outfit choice. We searched thoroughly. It was gone. I texted Steve immediately and asked for his manager's contact information. When he called back, I explained what happened. His first response was dismissive: "Great Movers isn't responsible for stolen items." No empathy, no concern, no sense of accountability. Over the next three days, I called the company multiple times and left messages for management (Saad or anyone in charge) -- not a single call was returned. Zero acknowledgment. As if that wasn't enough, I then received a call from building management saying the movers had dumped my furniture next to a pizza shop's dumpster, upsetting the business owner. I had clearly told them to place the items inside the designated dumpster area. When I called again, the dispatcher promised to contact Steve. Steve later claimed I "never said anything" about a designated area -- an outright lie. He finally returned to move the furniture to the proper spot, but even then, he set it next to the dumpster until I told him to put it inside. When I again brought up the stolen necklace, he was cold, sarcastic, and emotionless. I told him I would be filing a police report and that if the necklace was returned, there would be no questions asked. His only reply was to ask "where it was located." It is now November 5, and I have still received no response from Great Movers management. This experience has been deeply upsetting, not only because of the stolen jewelry and unprofessional conduct, but also because of the company's complete lack of integrity, accountability, and compassion. My advice: DO NOT USE GREAT MOVERS. If you value your belongings -- and basic human decency -- find another moving company. Great Movers = Great Disappointment.

After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

Before they even arrived, I got a tracking link to follow their location just like Uber, which immediately made me feel at ease. Crisanto and his crew showed up right on time and were incredible. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. Also shoutout to one of the crew members who was on his first day. You truly could not tell. The whole team was professional, efficient, and just genuinely great to work with.
