They to often burn the pizza. Whom ever is cooking doesn't know that burning the crust is not right.

Never got to try it. Placed order for 3 tacos. Waited 15 minutes while staff stood around behind counter. A larger group came in and my order just fell to the wayside I guess. No receipt given to me. On a lunch break while working across street. Not alot of time to sit for 3 tacos that I never received. read more

The pizza, breadsticks and tacos are delicious. It is worth the drive to Russiaville. Walton is excellent as well.

Fire Pizza is a bit off the beaten path, both in terms of location and cuisine. On the one hand, it's a pretty good pizza place, with some quirky specialty pizzas that add a fun touch to the menu (chili cheese fry pizza is a good example). And then there are the "Good Lord Tacos"; deep fried tortilla shells, with tomato, lettuce, "taco meat" and cheese. ("What sorts of meats do you have for tacos?" "It's... meat... sir. It goes on a taco. We call it taco meat.") So, not your first port of call for tacos al pastor, but taken on its own merit, it's just fine. If you haven't filled up on tacos, pizza or something from the hot sandwich menu, there's a selection of ice creams for dessert. read more

I walked in and the teenager behind the register knew how to talk to a person! In the kitchen were 2 others around her age, I assume the cooks, no complaints on my food, at all. First impressions are very important. My pizza was ready when I got there. I ordered the Super pizza. It is super! It's a great pizza. This is my first time, & planning to go back this weekend. I went in with my kids to get ice cream, there were dead bugs on the glass over the ice cream. There were gnats and flies around us,the floor was sticky. We should have just left,but we got ice cream and there was a hair in it. We won't be back. read more

Do to the lack of eating establishments Russiaville locals have always dealt with, it's kind of a small blessing around here finding out for the first time that the new owner of Gambino's Pizza took what was already a "pretty good pizza" to the next level known as "A GREAT PIZZA"! We carried out a Lg Deluxe and a Sm Chicken Bacon Ranch, both with the "NEW" Hand Tossed Crust. It was love at first site as each and everyone of us agreed that both pizzas looked almost as good as they taste. Almost that is and in no time both pies were decimated, leaving very little leftovers for any next day cold pizza lovers in the house. Each of us overwhelmingly agreed the big difference maker was the new super soft HAND TOSSED CRUST! I just expected the same flat type of hand tossed crust used by old owners, however once I laid eyes on all that big, gorgeously soft and fluffy crust popping out from under all the toppings and sauce, I knew we were about to experience our NEW FAVORITE pizza place for the 1st time and thankfully for myself, my family and not to mention the entire town of Russiaville.. Not sure what has happened to Gambinos pizza, they can't get my orders right on a regular basis. The pizza crust is terrible like a store bought frozen pizza. This once half way decent pizza joint has gone down hill. Save your money buy a frozen pizza. read more

I ended up in Russiaville for my Aunt's viewing and funeral. It was a sad day but I saw across the street the pizza joint serves "Lord John Taco" style tacos. Growing up in Kokomo these tacos were the king. Fried tortilla puffy shells that have so much nostalgia packed into them they make you want to cry like a little girl. Anyway, I walked in this dingy cave building and stood at the counter for a few minutes. A guy looked over and said "picking up?" and I said "no sir I would like to place an order." He then said "uh ok... I need to check my pizza's I will be back." He came back a few minutes later and took my order. I ordered 3 tacos and waited. A few things while waiting. I watched an employee go outside and smoke and then come in and handle food. I watched all 5 employees touch their face, hat and pull their pants up and then touch food. Also, the strangest thing of all: My feet were sticking to the carpet in the dining room... Like I had to peel my shoe up because it was so sticky. After 20 minutes I asked if we were getting close on my tacos and the guy that originally rang me said "oh crap, I forgot". I asked if I could just get my money back and leave. He said "hey man I have some breadsticks if you want them." Nice gesture I suppose but I really want to get the hell out of this dingy dump full of employees with poor hygiene. If you happen to be driving through Russiaville and you stop at the only 4 way in town, keep driving past Gambino's. read more

The good: it's the best pizza you can get in the middle of nowhere. Strangely enough, there's another pizza place across the street in the middle of nowhere. Okay, not nowhere, but a one stop-light town. And technically, it's a four-way stop with a flashing light above it so you don't blast through on an otherwise stop-less country road. And per standard pizza place operating protocol, there's teenagers hanging out on the curb outside. The bad: it's not great pizza. I've heard it's better the more toppings you have but that seems like a flimsy disguise. My friend tells me that they procured the closely guarded recipe for Lord John's tacos, a business which recently went under - hopefully not because of the quality of their tacos - and they're quite good. (I tried them after I wrote the initial review and probably wouldn't get them again. However, I live about 1/2 hour from the Mexican border and my standards for tacos are a little different than if I still lived in Indiana.) My mom really wanted me to write a great review because she eats there a lot and says her brother insists on having Gambino's whenever he's in town. She can get her own account. So, if you find yourself in Russiaville with a hankering for pizza or tacos, this is THE place to go. read more

While standing at the counter waiting to pick up my own pizza ordered from here, I heard on of the workers tell the female owner as she took a pizza out of the oven that this pizza was not supposed to have mushrooms on it. The intended customer had said they were allergic to them. The owners reply was "Oh get over it!" in a rather hateful tone of voice. She then proceeded to pick the mushrooms off and insist the pizza be delivered. How dangerous could this action have been for the intended! I will never order from there again, and neither will my family or friends. This gives me a good indication of what goes on behind the scenes. If I hadn't of seen it with my own eyes I would not have believed it. read more
