First time my husband and I ate there. the service was EXCELLENT. I had a house margarita and it was very very good. I had garlic shrimp--very good. I forgot what my husband ordered--something with chicken and chorizo. He said it didn't have much flavor. One thing that I will definitely ding them on....the salsa that was served with the chips WAS OUT OF A BOTTLE..I saw them filling the little cups! Sacrilege! It's been some time since I've been to a spot that has made me want to write a review. Either it was so bad that my review would be cruel or just wasn't good enough to write about it at all. Today changed that. This hidden gem is a jackpot! The staff is warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is minimal but inviting. The menu is not your typical quesadillas and burritos although they do have them too. We opted for the guacamole, molcateje, tacos al pastor and gringas. The quack was chunky and delicious! The molcateje was hot and bountiful. Steak, shrimp, chicken and chorizo piled high. My tacos al pastor were tender and flavorful. Beer was ice cold and at $5 a pop, you couldn't go wrong. I think this restaurant is better than some of the much pricier options in Fishers and Indy. My only regret is that we don't live closer. It's a must visit when in Kokomo. read more

First time coming here and must say I am impressed! So the food is Mexican, but it is more of an upscale I would really use the word. They just took it up a notch. They don't have some of the things that you might see other Mexican restaurants but everything seems and looks very delicious. I really did enjoy this restaurant and also the Horchata was very authentic more on the rice side not the cinnamon. I believe I would definitely try their drinks. Also, the service was amazing. I never had to ask for anything and very informative. The restaurant is located at the old big daddy's if you are from Kokomo, you know and they did very good changing the atmosphere I would come here for a first date for Mexican versus any other restaurant in town. read more

The only differences between this place and the other Mexican restaurants in town, smaller menu, more seafood options, smaller sizes They do bring out small ramekins of salsa, one mild, one hot. The amount of salsa offered isn't enough for 1 person, and we were not offered any more The burrito I had, it was OK, not really anything different from what you find in town - and a let down if you are used to the offerings in Mexico or the southwest USA. (those places that make the tortillas in house) The only other comment I have was the soft drinks, they are in small, but "cute" glasses - but when it came to refills, it felt we were being encouraged to go with something stronger I won't avoid this place in the future, but I also won't make a special trip here read more

I hate this place and would never go back if my family did not want to go. What kind of name is The Jungle for a restaurant? I think of a lot of things besides Mexican. The building looks sketchy and abandoned. There is a storage room up front that you can see into from the road, and drive right past to get into the parking lot. Portions are small and expensive. $15 for a taco salad. Nothing special. When I got it there was a puddle of clear water at each end of the oval plate. As I ate it, the water mixed with the beans to make what looked like a sewage runoff. The bottom of the shell was mush and remained me of a wet diaper in my mouth. Stingy with chips and salsa. Small bowls for both seems to be an individuals portion but 4 people are expected to share it. If you buy the cheese dip you would think extra chips would be brought with it. You could as the wait staff for more but they are busy making drinks at the bar. There are better, cheaper, and more economical Mexican restaurants in Kokomo. read more

I was referred to this place by a friend. Hands down this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Indiana. The food was full of flavor and their margaritas were margaritaing! We just found out about the place recently. We have been twice in the past two weeks and really enjoyed it! It "feels" clean and fresh without a scent of cleaner. I am a fan of a small menu as a big menu equals a big freezer...and this place has variety but a smaller menu. The chorizoqueso was very good. The guac was very good but needed additional salt, but that is easy enough for you to correct to taste. The pazole, which is a Thursday special, was plentiful and delicious.
