The US Supreme Court already ruled against SFD back in the late 60's ruling they can not fine or threaten jail time for citizens exercising their Constitutional rights but yet here in 2026 that is exactly what SFD is doing and AAA is assisting them by performing these inspections without asking the owners permission to enter. This review has nothing to do with the inspections themselves I can maybe understand the inspections but SFD's threats that the court has ruled unconstitutional and AAA by their actions seem willing to go along for the ride are the issue! On top of that this building is over 20 years old and when AAA took over a couple years ago they claimed to have found lots of infractions and I know for our unit we have never done anything regarding the sprinklers in our unit and never paint the unit in any way and they claimed we had an infraction and yet nearly 2 decades worth of inspections never found any issues. Makes me think they have no clue what their doing if they over rule nearly 2 decades of inspectors that never found an issue even with the sprinkler head they noted. Cost us money to replace what no other inspector deemed necessary to replace!

But he didn't stop there, even though they didn't install the wonky one, he made his way to the other side of the house, on a pretty darn hot day where roofs can amplify that heat and realized that was the cap I was calling about. But rather than dismissing it because they hadn't done the original install, he righted it and didn't see it as having any serious problems. He went far above and beyond. Person not only didn't give me heads up, he showed up before the time window and texted me that he's here. I rushed back home in hopes he's waiting for me but he was gone and nowhere to be seen. I tried to call and text him with no avail. Both texts and phone messages say they don't receive them and to call the business directly instead. Finally called the business who couldn't find him and was told he took pics and doesn't need to come back. Spoke to them on what I wanted done and was promised to get an estimate that same evening. It's been almost a week and nothing. No call, no email, no estimate, no nothing. Unprofessional, extremely disappointing.

We also Looked to see if their insurance and bond were up to date and if they had a lot of violations with the state. Their quote for the replacement came in at about the middle of all four quotes and the equipment was comparable. Everything checked out For WA Energy Services. Several of the other companies had quite a few violations and that didn't sit well with us. My husband made a spreadsheet and did a pretty good comparison of everyones' offerings to make sure we were getting a reasonable deal and that what was being offered would best fit our needs going forward. Our installers, Joel and Riley, were responsive and answered our questions and concerns. They did a clean, neat install and left the majority of the job site in great condition on their way out. We did find a few sheet metal screws in our driveway, and thankfully they didn't end up in our tires, but other than that, it all looked good. It's only been a bit less than a week. The electrical inspection has passed. we're still waiting on the County inspection, but hopefully that goes well, too. The system seems to be adequately cooling our home, the heat pump is much quieter and overall, we feel like Wa Energy Services did a good job for us and we would recommend them for the purchase and installation of a furnace and Heat pump system.

He announced the next day my whole roof was rotted and needed to be replaced. His words..."shit roof". He discussed for an extra $3000 he could do more extensive repairs in lieu of replacement. I asked for a written estimate. the estimate came in an extra $9k. this was over the last long July 4th weekend. I "disapproved" the change order. I texted this, sent two emails and finally when I asked about getting it completed prior to rain on Wednesday, he said :"It'll be no problem for us". I added that I wanted to ensure he does NOT buy supplies as I said NO to the extensive work he wanted to do. They show up on Monday, late again. I called Shay again to ensure he knew I did NOT approve the extra work. he then proceeded to curse me out, that the supplies were already purchased and the work already started. I said that makes no difference as I never approved any of it. The cursing continued. BTW-the ridge vent had only just then was being pulled up about two feet before I stopped them. he then demanded more money to put things back together or he would make his guys leave my roof open and exposed. he finally hung up on me when i did not give in. he called back and I agreed to pay him all but the last $2k just to get this closed prior to raining. I called the office, Chepe was very nice and took my card number. After the roof was done that day my plan was to pay the rest by cashiers check. when I checked my account I found that the last payment had already been processed by 1st Choice...without my authorization. From the other reviews, this seems to be his tactic. How he is still in business is beyond me. Although this is a long review please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! Luckily I was awake and saw the charge notification that day. I tried calling six times and the person I speak to on the phone keeps giving me the runaround. I tried leaving messages, emails, called multiple times and no one is picking up in the billing dept nor calling me back. I finally had to contact my cc comp and submit a claim to dispute the charge. What a headache. They also overcharge for their services. $600 to replace a light switch. Their customer service is horrible, please find someone else.
