In my opinion there is only two pizzerias to choose from, 575 and Fire Slice. They are both very good. So if I were to recommend one over the other, I would hands down say fire slice. The staff and the ownership were amazing! Although you would say the location is somewhat out there, but that is what give it its charm. I have been back several times (for lunch mostly) and each time has been equally impressive. They also worked with us on getting a gluten free crust and sheep's milk cheese. That is a nice welcome, for those of us that have milk and wheat allergies in the family! read more

Food was delicious and staff was helpful. Pizza crust was a perfect crispy but not hard or flakey. Arancini appetizer was amazing. It didn't even need the Rosa sauce. It is in the back of the shopping center but not hard to find. Glad I didn't stress over the location. read more

Can't wait to return to Amarillo so I can eat here again. I ordered the Chicken Florentine but substituted mushrooms for the Ted peppers. The crust was perfectly cooked and was slightly chewy. I would have only preferred more spinach to live up to its name. I also enjoyed the bread pudding. So rich and delicious. Glad I had some room left for dessert! read more

Fire slice is versatile, exclusive, delicious and the staff is great. I've been here many times and every time I leave satisfied (food and drink wise) and without any remorse on the bill I just paid. I have tried the calamari- excellent, the pizza's - so tasty, the calzones - super delish and I hope to try every kind of beer or wine they carry because Brad (the owner) sure knows his import beers and wines. And as if this place doesn't have the best pizza in town, they have recently put themselves at the top of the live music restaurant list. Bringing in artists from all over Texas as well as featuring Amarillo's favorite locals the music is sure to complete your experience on the weekends. The contemporary art and low lighting definitely make for a great date night spot I might add! ;) Bring your kids, take your friends, have a lunch meeting or ANYTHING, this place is great. This is the best pizza in town. Great pizza starts with great crust, and here Fire Slice excels. Not overdone, great chew, great flavor. Well chosen topping combinations, many locally sourced. That is difficult to find in Amarillo. Outstanding beer selection with good rotation, knowledgeable staff will steer you to the best selection for your taste. Nice little hole in the wall located behind Summit Shopping Center in the alley. As far as pizza goes, the Johnny Amigo is where it's at! There's an array of pestos to choose from, sometimes I get the Hula with honey BBQ pesto: delicious. The service is spectacular and the atmosphere is vibrant. Oh! Did I mention the beer? I took my department to lunch at Fire Slice today. 9 people total. Everyone was happy with their food and the service was fantastic! I had the Grilled Chicken Salad, yeah I know went to a pizza place and ordered salad, it was excellent and was way more than I could eat. Even with an eclectic group of people everyone got what they wanted. The restaurant is kind of hard to find. You actually have to drive down an ally to get there, but it is worth looking for! read more

Waited 40 minutes and our pizza still had not come out. Several tables that sat down behind us had all ready received their food and we still had not. We asked for our check and also asked to speak with the manager. When speaking to the owner/manager all he wanted to do was tell us how all the take out orders were being handled first and that this isn't a quick place. NO LYING THERE!!!. Owner was a complete jerk and totally unsympathetic to the fact that we were waiting so long. He proceeded to tell us to get out of his place as he was walking away with our credit card. Such a big man. Had to to take our $18 (for 2 salads and 1 tea, 1 soda) before he told us to leave. He didn't even have the guts to bring our card back to us, he made the waitress do it. I have never been to a restaurant that places take out orders in front of eat in orders. Maybe this establishment would be better as a take out place. It certainly does not have the management to be an actual restaurant. There's a reason this place has been open for so long but is still in a dark, back alley. read more

Passed through town and needed pizza, after reading about the "honey-bomb" I had to try it. It was really good and unlike any other pizza be had. In general the crust was thin but still chewy, but the ingredients are what takes it to the next level. It's hard to describe but to me the "honey bomb" has a honey/sweet with heat layer, smoky layer, and the pesto blends together to make a unique flavor combination that I look forward to having next time I pass through. read more

It just don't get any better than this. The most difficult thing about eating there is which pizza do you select! I even tried going half/half on two pizza's, figuring 4 different ones would be best for the two of us. But it turned out I had to cram down a slice and grab another before my friend did. There's not enough slices in half/half. It doesn't matter if you're casual or dressed to the max, you're comfortable there. Love the separate party room for groups. Impress your girl and treat her to a great dining experience. This place makes Pizza Hut seem like fast food. read more

The location is interesting but worth finding. It's in the back of the strip shopping area -- where you might think delivery trucks should park. Beer on tap is worth investigating. You can choose your own pizza toppings and, if you have a problem with wheat, the gluten-free crust is good. They use to have live music on select nights. I miss that! read more
