It came with cheesy grits and roasted asparagus. It was all nicely prepared and beautifully presented. We finished things off with a decadent dessert of creme brûlée. Hubby and I here came in on a Saturday night for date night. We had less than a 5 minute wait despite most tables being full. This seemed to be a family-friendly place as there were tons of small children dining. We were over-dressed based on the crowd. Our waitress was funny and helpful and constantly checked on us. The restaurant itself is in an unassuming part of Dothan. The interior is open with a little bit of an industrial feel. The food was just okay. Everything seemed under seasoned and the portion sizes were slightly small for the price. To be fair, we didn't order traditional Italian fare and we'd like to go back and try some of their pizza's and pastas. We had: Crab cakes Bacon wrapped shrimp Short ribs with risotto Fish of the Day - Grouper with risotto and spinach Creme Brulee to share. The two apps were actually fairly tasty with the shrimp being a tiny bit better than the crab cakes. The short ribs were a little disappointing as the meat was thinly sliced and fanned out on the plate. We were expecting meat still on the bone, tender to the fork. My piece of fish was tiiiiny and the mushroom risotto was okay (slightly al dente). The creme brulee was tasty and enough for two people. This is definitely a place I'd give another shot to as they had a fig pizza that I am itching to try. I am hoping that the seasoning on the food is a little bit better the second go-round. read more

Made reservations for Father's Day, as we entered we realized it was extremely hot. When I asked the waitress if the air conditioner was broken she stated it was yesterday. My issue is I tried 3 times to order a starter sized salad to figure out my appetite and what else I might order. Stopped by on the way back to Georgia coming from Panama City Beach and I was extremely satisfied. We ordered a custom cheese bread, custom basil oil white pizza and the chicken bbq pizza. The food was made extremely quick and fresh; steaming hot at the table still. It had tasted even better than the pictures and descriptions on the menus. Firestone was my go to place when visiting Dothan before recently moving here. So happy to be able to enjoy their great food even more often. The pizzas are delicious. My favorite is the Figgy pizza with the delicate contrasting flavors of the smoked ham, figs, caramelized onions, pesto and Gorgonzola. Don't knock it until you Try it. The fresh catch has never disappointed, nor has the shrimp and grits. The chicken Parm and burgers are also favorites. Looking for something lighter, the spinach salad fills the bill. This spot is the perfect place to try if you are a pizza lover. I got the Meat lovers personal pizza and I do not regret it one bit. I always have been a sucker for thin crust and this place absolutely to die for. I loved their drinks! Unfortunately I was DD so I only sipped off my husbands drinks. Service was great, the waiting time was surprisingly good as well. I called and reserved only 2 hours before and we only waited for 10 minutes. I love restaurants that actually honor reserved tables. We unfortunately came around the same time a whole baseball team stopped in so I felt awful for the staff but we left them a hefty tip. The all the flavor of the food is pretty good just a couple of complaints that I had. Wound the portion size of the pizzas were bit small 12in is a large and 8 in is a small mexiletine a large should be at least 16 in small or 12 the cheese sticks for more like cheese twigs. The description says it has bacon. Not sure if ours had bacon or not.. if it did it was tiny bits.. My husband and I shared a large pizza while our son had the chicken alfredo. Very friendly, attentive staff~Thanks Allena. Very COVID-19 friendly and conscientious. They had a great menu with lots of options from soup, salad,steak, seafood, pizza and pasta. We arrived at 5pm on a Sunday for dinner and the server was excellent, but that's about the best of it. It took until 5:52pm to receive our appetizer of a small cheese bread. My wife ordered the Chicken Marsala with fries and steamed broccoli. The only thing warm we're the fries. The chicken was room temp and the broccoli appeared to only be heated by the service lamp prior to serving. I ordered the Philly sandwich and opted for the up charge of the spicy cheese. The fries were cold, not even room temp and the cheese sauce was more water than cheese. They were 86'ed on pesto sauce, ribeyes, mushrooms, soups of the day, mint leaves, and were also hosting a large party in the back according to our waitress. Pizzas came out fast from the ovens for the other tables, but the crust looked to be lacking the presence of a crust and looking more like a saltine cracker. We will not be returning. read more

The staff was friendly and greeted us right away and we were sat. they had a variety of options from pizzas to salads to sandwiches to fish dishes on the menu. I ended up going with the Philly cheesesteak with sweet potato tater tots. The food came out quickly and it did not disappoint. Just like one of the yelpers already said, this place was a very nice find in the city of Dothan. I was looking for a good place to eat and the hotel recommended Fire Stone...I got there a little late on a Tuesday evening, about an hour from closing, so I thought I didn't make the cut...but there weren't too many people around; a couple of mid-sized groups and a couple at the bar...I chose to sit at the bar and have a few drinks with my dinner, and the game was on, so the host put me up at the bar. I was asking what was good and my server/bartender informed me that the seafood, particularly the Grouper was very good...but that they typically get their seafood shipments on Wednesdays...so it being a Tuesday, the seafood would be on it's 7th day...a little tidbit of info that I found incredibly helpful for this and all future seafood restaurant adventures. I really appreciated that information. So I opted for the Beef stroganoff, which I thoroughly enjoyed down to the last bite. It was a healthy sized portion, but I liked it so much I wanted to finish it all right there. I added a cup of French onion soup, which was ok, I could go without it the next time. I had their IPA on tap, which was pretty good, 2 and I was set for the night with my meal. Staff, very helpful, very friendly and didn't rush me out even though most of the patrons had started to close up their tabs and settle their checks. They let me finish my dinner without rushing me and when I walked out of Fire Stone, I was a happy camper, ready to head back to my hotel and sleep. We really enjoy Firestone. It's nice that the staff try and remember you and your order after visiting just a couple times. You can't go wrong ordering from their appetizer list because I have had almost all of them and they have been pretty fabulous. Their shrimp and grits and fresh fish entrees are pretty amazing too. Oddly enough I have never had any of their pizzas. ‍ Oh! And their spinach salad....wow! You can get a half portion of the spinach salad if you are hoping to save your for apps, entree's, and desserts. Probably my favorite restaurant in Dothan.
