Anthony first inquired wether the box was owned by the post office and asked me to call him. During our short call he said it would be $80 to replace the mailbox lock. He also told me that the post office will do it for $50 they just dont do it as timely. This guy really looks our for his customers. Beware. My experience with this company was extremely disappointing…read more I called Key One Locksmith on a Tuesday for a broken door lock. They responded quickly, which I appreciated. The technicians were courteous, but unfortunately they did not appear to know how to properly repair the issue. They spent approximately three hours working on the lock. In the end, they told me they had to loosen the entire door handle assembly to get the lock working temporarily and recommended replacing the entire handle, explaining that it would be very expensive. I was charged $1,227.45 for labor only--no replacement parts were installed. Although I wasn't happy with the price, I was relieved the door could at least lock. Unfortunately, by the very next day, the lock had failed again. I contacted Key One Locksmith and was told they couldn't return until 3:00 p.m. the following day, which wasn't an option for our business. I then called Lee's Lock & Safe in Encinitas. Their technician, Jon, arrived promptly, identified that the previous repair had been done incorrectly, corrected the problem, and had the lock working properly. His total charge was $274.75, which I found to be much more reasonable for the work performed. Afterward, I called Key One Locksmith to discuss my concerns. I was transferred to someone named John, who initially identified himself as a manager. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, he became argumentative and raised his voice. When I asked to speak with his supervisor, he stated he was actually a technician, questioned how I had obtained his number, made what I felt was an inappropriate comment referencing me as a woman, and then hung up on me. My biggest concerns are: Being charged $1,227.45 for a repair that failed the next day. The quality of the work performed. The unprofessional customer service I received when I attempted to resolve the issue. I want to recognize Lee's Lock & Safe in Encinitas for their professionalism.
