This place is located at the SW corner of Guadalupe and McClintock, along Guadalupe, North of where the Trader Joe's is located. The hours on the iPhone maps are incorrect, I posted a photo with the correct hours (see photo). My daughter just got a 2008 RAV4. One of the keys unlocked the doors but didn't start the car. They were able to rekey the car and reprogram it. We also got an extra key to unlock the door. So now we have 2 completely functional keys and 2 keys that unlock the doors. That cost about $75. I got scammed. I called because my dog destroyed my key/fob. When I called I was quoted $130 for each replacement. I said i wanted two made. When he came out he only had 1 key. No big deal. But then he charged me $255 for 1. I told him I was quoted $130 and he said they tell you that on the phone but when they get out and see what they have to do the charge is more. On December 3rd, I was asked to watch my neighbors dog as they had to leave town quickly for a death. When I went to speak to the owner, I inadvertently left my key for the house on their table. I called Sundial on the advice of a friend. Their response time was great, and the young technician was very respectful and nice. He tried the front door but told me that because it was a "smart" key, if he opened the door then all the locks would have to be re-keyed. We went around the back of the house and found a bathroom door that he was easily able to open the handle of. The problem was that it had an upper swing bar lock. He assured me that his dremel could cut through it, so he started to cut through it. The problem was that the dremel was not charged, so every few minutes he would have to stop and plug it in to my neighbor's outside outlet to charge as we sat and waited. This whole process took almost 2 hours. I was cold from being outside and in pain from sitting with my new knee from 2 weeks ago. I finally called my neighbor who brought over bolt cutters and promptly cut the swing bar, and the door was opened! For this "service" I was charged over $300, and I still had to buy a new swing bar latch from Ace Hardware and install it. After this fiasco, I wrote a letter to the owner explaining the situation and asking for a refund as the technician should have had a fully charged dremel, or been able to call someone else to come who did have one, so this job could have taken 20 minutes. I never heard anything back from anyone, so now I am posting my review. I gave them a chance to make good on this, especially given the circumstances. It's great if your technician shows up right away, but what's the point when the job takes over 2 hours! Regardless of the great reviews, I will never use them again and will tell everyone I know not to use them. read more

This is the place! Look no further. I googled locksmith and Sundial Locksmith came up first. I'm amazed at the selection of locks displayed - masterlock, Schlage, Kwickset, for doors, auto keys! I needed a house key and Josh helped me super fast. They're have high caliber key machines so the keys aren't hard to use And actually work! Super nice, friendly people! Recommend! Don't go to box store for keys their key making machines are over used and get out if caliber and keys don't always work. - know from experience. Extremely polite and professional, i called a handful of places they were by far the most affordable and polite. I took my 2013 ram to get both my key fobs reprogrammed. Unfortunately my truck itself has to be checked by a dealership, my keys wouldn't work and they even tested out 4-5 of their own key fobs to confirm that the module itself has an issue. I'm unsure how I feel about this company. I contacted them to rekey two locks--nothing urgent; I chose this business based on positive reviews. The receptionist took down my information and the job details, but mentioned that only the technician could provide a quote. The technician who is the owner called back promptly, and I explained what I needed. They said they would stop by in about 30 minutes to provide a quote, which I appreciated. When the technician arrived, they quoted $250 to rekey a single lock (for which I no longer had the key) and $500 to replace it. The tech said that making a key without a key is really complicated - I wasn't sure why since locksmiths usually just replace the inside of the lock and give you a new set of keys to fit it and it's pretty straightforward. I've had it sine before many times. Also the new lock tho seemed way too pricey. Yes, I understand that Schlage commercial-grade locks are on the pricier side, but $500 for a simple deadbolt for an internal door lock is way too much. The tech told me that the deadbolt itself is $375, but I wasn't sure why he didn't offer me any other options - Schlage makes a range of commercial deadbolts and $375 is on the higher end for sure. It's not my first time replacing the locks in different houses and I always go with commercial-grade Schlage. Unfortunately the tech didn't offer me any cheaper options for the lock. I told the technician I would think about the rekeying, talk to my husband and make decision later. At the end I was then charged $40 for a "service call." At no point did either the receptionist or the technician mention that there would be a fee just for providing the quote. I don't have an issue with service call fees in general, but they should be disclosed up front and not after the fact. read more

The most frustrating part was the lack of transparency, I called them but they subcontracted the job out to an entirely different company. This was not disclosed up front.
