I have three people in the car and we drove 30 minutes to come here. I called at 2:27 to put in an order in just to play it safe. The lady on the phone says "Were not taking orders, we close at 3 and stop taking orders at 2:30." I said "it's 2:27pm" and she said "we already closed the register though so we can't help you". Since then, Firefly opened, a yoga studio opened and the library moved to a beautiful building right next door to Firefly. Loriann and her husband serve the most original vegan fare. Always willing to explain the ingredients and share what's new, Firefly is a warm and friendly place to go for lunch with friends or even by yourself. Best vegan food around without a doubt. We drove about 40 minutes to get here and it's worth it. The food was so delicious it blew me away. The service is wonderful and everyone is incredibly kind. Had the vegan cheeseburger and Mac and cheese for lunch. We also took a cinnamon bun home with us and it was amazing. Everything was wonderful and I highly recommend trying it out- vegan or not! This is one of the most outstanding vegan restaurants I've ever been to and I have been to a lot! The service was very friendly and helpful, the ambiance was lovely and cozy with a lot of character, and cool jazz was playing in the background. My non-vegan cuzzy could not believe the food did not have meat and cheese in it... he said it was amazingly tasty, and he will definitely be a regular there now. He tried their famous vegan pulled "pork" sandwich and was amazed. I am a passionate vegan who totally loved the food in every way...I had the lasagna with melted vegan cheese and veggies inside...it was a delicious dream come true. This was our first time here. It's a very casual, earthy, laidback atmosphere. I really like the look of the place inside and out. They have interesting art hanging, which seems to be for sale. The staff was friendly. They have a menu which includes breakfast and lunch items. We love iCreate cafe and this restaurant is another good vegan option that's local. It's nice to have these types of restaurants opening in the area. I'm not a vegetarian/vegan, but I usually avoid red meat and I love vegan food. I ordered the special, which was vegan lasagne and my husband ordered the Mac and cheese. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I would add to arrive by 1, because although it says that close at 2, I noticed that they weren't seating people as it was getting close to 1:30. hands down the best spot for vegetarian/vegan food in the area. the breakfast burrito and veggie burger are delicious. the veggie burger comes with vegan spicy mayo that is to die for!! the owners & staff are SO kind and helpful if you have any questions. my boyfriend and I come here almost every weekend and the food is consistent always. plus they now have a vegan store next to the restaurant which has so many goodies you can't find elsewhere locally. read more

I had lunch there today with my wife who is a vegan chef. I on the other hand, am not a vegan and a traditional meat eater. I had the black bean burger, and my wife had the vegan buffalo chicken sandwich. We were both extremely happy with our meals, and will definitely be back. I am a meat eater through and through and have never dined at a vegetarian restaurant before. But I've been here twice now and plan to keep coming back. I've had the black bean burger and it's great. Their vegan Chipotle mayo is absolutely amazing. Also their side salads have the most wonderful dressings, I've had the carrot ginger and the lemon miso and both are fantastic. Not the worst place I've ever been to but definitely not the best. Generic items on the menu that were overpriced and most of it was sold out. It's also weird how you're greeted told to sit down at a table, given water and silverware, but then told to order at the counter. Why wouldn't I just order at the counter before sitting? Weird concept and I can see how it could be confusing to others. Just don't do table service at all or do. None of this weird in between stuff. It makes the staff look lazy especially because after you get the food they don't come back around which sucks if you are trying to get a box for food or water because then you are stuck waiting at the counter again. And you want a tip from me??? Another thing I thought was kind of silly was the hours. They are open till 3 but stop service at 2:30... So why don't they say that they are only open till 2:30? But in general the hours for this cafe suck. The food was alright but again like I said nothing special. Nothing different that would make me want to come back. As someone who is vegan there is potential to do way more than just the basic but expensive items they have. Guy owner is 100 times nicer than the lady. She will go out of her way to pretend she's busy so she doesn't have to talk to you. You can wipe your counter and answer my question at the same time. I've worked in food service I know it's possible. Then I went over to the outpost which was also unimpressive and didn't really have much of anything that was different than what you can get at the grocery store. All of it, just like the cafe, is overpriced too. It's sad to see that this place has been open for a few years and it doesn't run the best that it could. I understand being a small business but I have read these reviews and all the complaints are similar but no changes are made to the place. So my suggestion is to spend your money somewhere else because you'll probably be happier that you did. Hopefully one day they will actually listen to their customers suggestions and complaints. There is room for much improvement and I would love to see this place thrive more in such a small town. read more

Excellent place for vegan food! Have tried the portobello burger, jackfruit bbq, mac and cheese. All were delicious and flavorful. The dining area is comfy and boho. I enjoy the fruit waters and their homemade salad dressings. The dessert choices are great too. You order and pay at the counter. Service is quick. Only complain is the price...a bit high for the area but it is a welcomed treat when we are out that way. Btw...I loved the multigrain buns they serve. Very expensive. Over $20 not including a tip I added with I then regretted. All I had was a sandwich and a drink. You don't really get waited on properly. You have to order and pay at the counter and the system asks you to add a tip and then the food gets dropped off to your table. While you are ordering, the staff get grumpy because you are in the way of the kitchen exit. The whole set up is poorly done. The food was mediocre. I will cook my vegan food at home. read more
