My husband and I were both excited to try out a new restaurant in the area. I made reservations. The tone was set when we walked in. No one to greet us, no biggie. A waiter hurried past us to tend to one of his tables us and loudly said he'd be back to help us. Hurried back and immediately asked if we had a reservation. No greeting, just hurried. The light on our table wasn't working so he just switched it with the open table next to us (people later came and sat there). I believe they are rechargeable. Same thing happenec to the table next to us. Light went out.The same light he replaced it with went out half way thru our meal. No biggie, but you can tell they haven't planned accordingly. Seating is limited. Chairs aren't comfortable - not what you expect when reading the menu - you'd think it would have a comfortable and cozy vibe. If you aren't in a chair, you are sitting on a hard bench made into the wall. Doesn't give you the vibe of enjoying a nice, relaxing meal. The acoustics in the restaurant are awful. I could barely hear my husband over the waiter who was shouting to all of his tables. Maybe he couldn't hear, either. On to the food - we ordered the mozzarella sticks as an app. Not something would normally order, but the accompaning dipping sauces intrigued us -a pesto sauce and calibrian chili sauce. And the sticks were advertised as herb crusted. We didn't taste or see any herbs in the. The sauces - underwhelming. The pesto sauce was nothing but olive oil with a little pesto on the bottom of the dish. The Calabrian chili-honey with a tiny bit of heat. Husband ordered pork cheeks and I ordered salmon. His dish came out a good 5 minutes before mine and wasn't as hot as it should've been. He insisted on waiting for my dish so we could enjoy our meal together. salmon eventually came out - not hot. A piece of unseasoned salmon over a massive clump of unseasoned mashed parsnips and a side of nicely cut carrots and goat cheese. Had the carrots been hot, they would have been delicious. Salmon was top with a tasteless creme franchise sauce. Pork cheeks were on top of a heaping mound of mashed potatoes. Our waitress ( first night at that restaurant, used to work with owners at Rosario),asked us how the mozzarella sticks were. I said they were just okay and that was the end of that conversation.She never asked how how the rest of the food was, how we liked it, etc. We never saw an owner or manager on the floor, which one would expect they would be greeting customers and asking for feedback being a new restaurant. Hence, I am forced to give feedback here. Our experience was very underwhelming and quite honestly very disappointing. Reading the menu, you'd think the dishes were tasteful and it would be more of a upper scale restaurant (although prices are reasonable). The menu descriptions are over rated for the quality of food you get. As we left, we both said we should have gone across the street for dinner (and i don't even care for bbcue). Very disappointing and beyond new opening kinks. We won't be going back. read more

OK... Table for four at 6 PM on a Friday night. I'll start with the good... The she crab soup flavor was excellent...but, it was served cold with film on top....not warm in the least bit. The rolls were good but once again...nowhere near warm. Two people ordered the hamburgers and the taste of the burgers were good, but they were very, very small. The french fries were extremely and cold & limp.... basically inedible. One person ordered the open face steak sandwich. Once again, cold and had been sitting there waiting to be served for quite some time because the bread was totally mushy. Lastly, the fourth person got the tuna, and the tuna itself was OK. But, it was not served as advertised. Instead of creamed parsnips they served mashed potatoes and instead of trumpet mushrooms the mushrooms that came with the meal looked like they probably came out of a can. We overheard people sitting near us complaining about their meals as well. Another thing....it was just very strange for 6 PM Friday night two or three of the appetizers were not even available. Several of the entrées were not available and only two desserts were available. How is this possible that early Friday evening? Something is very wrong. Lastly, the service was incredibly slow... Only one waiter for the entire restaurant and he was running around as hard as he could go, but it was taking forever for people to get their food. It pains me to write this review, but the facts are what the facts are. If they don't dramatically improve and do so quickly, this restaurant will not be open for very long. Keith read more

Great experience! We ordered the salmon, steak frites, 2 starters, and 2 drinks. the salmon was SO GOOD. The steak frites were good- the chimichurri on top was excellent. Drinks were great and came quick! Service was great- the owner came and checked on us and he was lovely. Look forward to coming back. Hope they add brunch service!!! read more

We enjoyed our first dining experience at Firefly Table and plan to go back. The special tapas menu had several tempting items and the one we chose was delicious. My husband and I both had the mushroom risotto. Mine was just as it came and he added grilled shrimp to his--both were very good. We had a seasonal desert offering and it was wonderful as well- we wanted to lick the bowl. Chef Ryan came out several times to talk to us and Madison, our server was great. read more

Chef Ryan came out of the kitchen, greeted us, and explained some of the secrets of his kitchen! Served Madison was gracious, efficient, and lovely in every way! Our server was fantastic, but the food wasn't good. We had crab cakes for our appetizer. They were very mushy and smelled very "fishy" - I only had two tiny bites. I ordered the mushroom risotto with a chicken breast. The risotto was very dry, as was the chicken. read more

Absolutely WORST service I've ever experienced! I made a reservation a week in advance for a group of 20 people at 6:00 PM. When I called, the restaurant assured me they had no problem handling a party of our size. When we arrived, the table wasn't even set up. Two members of our group had to help the staff move tables together just so we could sit down. Then we were told they couldn't actually seat all 20 at one table, so six of our party were split off to a smaller table across the room. The restaurant was nearly empty -- there were only four other customers the entire time we were there. It took another 20 minutes just for someone to come take our drink orders (non-alcoholic). The drinks then took another 20 minutes to arrive. Food orders weren't taken until 30 minutes after that. The meals came out in the most chaotic way possible. One person received their entrée 25 minutes after ordering, while the rest of the group got their food at random times over the next 90 minutes. By the time the last people were served, some had been waiting almost two hours from when the first plate hit the table. This was one of the most disorganized and painfully slow dining experiences I've ever had. For a group that had reserved in advance and was assured everything would be fine, the complete lack of preparation, coordination, and basic service was shocking -- especially in an almost-empty restaurant. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend Firefly Table for anything larger than a very small party of 2! read more

We decided to try this place due to what I am guessing padded reviews. We went on a Friday night. We should have known something was off because the place was empty. We were greeted at the door asked if we had reservations which we did. We then were first taken to a small high top table jammed in the corner next to the bar. Again the place was empty. We asked for a table and were moved to a table. The menu looked decent and we waited for about 10 minutes before our waiter (the only waiter in the place) came over and asked if we would like a drink and an app. We ordered two glasses of Chardonnay which were way overpriced ($16) The drinks came and there were about 3.5 ounces in each glass, not even half full and the glasses were dirty. My wife's had lipstick on hers and mine was water spots and cloudy. We sent them back. We ordered 2 beers that we were told were bottled. We figured we would be safe from dirty glassware. Wrong. Two mugs of warm beer show up at the table. The service took forever. We decided to order a large pizza from their menu and split it. We sat and waited for 45 minutes before our waiter came out and said your pizza would be another 7 minutes. Five minutes later the hostess came over and said they burnt our pizza and would we like a salad while we wait. Check please. We paid for our beers and an underwhelming app and we left. The place has issues, too numerous to mention here but I do not think this place will survive. read more

We cannot say enough good things about this new "gem" of a restaurant in downtown Acworth! We've been a few times and have had the sliced steak sandwich, hot honey panini and the deep dish pizza. Wow! Everything we've had thus far has been exceptional- the taste and quality! They've bent over backwards to accommodate our family and their service standards are just as excellent as the food. We so appreciate the effort they're putting in to serving our community well. read more

We stopped by tonight hoping to try this new spot and were excited to see the space. It is really cute inside. Unfortunately, we were turned away because the kitchen couldn't accommodate any walk-ins, even though there were only a few tables occupied. We asked if we could sit at the bar instead and were told no. We understand busy nights happen, but it was surprising not to be able to be seated at all on a Saturday. We were really hoping this would be a great new addition downtown, but the experience left us disappointed and unsure we'll try again. read more

We went to celebrate our friends birthday. For the prices we were surprised that the location was next to a laundromat and a Thrift store in a strip shopping. The food was not very good and overpriced. We ordered dessert and the breaded part was burned black. When we showed it to the server she said she would show them in the kitchen. Nothing else was said about it or compensation. We will not be back. read more

We went there last night for the first time with our neighbors. We had already heard good things about it. We were not disappointed. For our appetizers, we had duck empanadas and deconstructed beef Wellington. For our main, we had chicken risotto and steak frites. We also tried the crab soup which was excellent. Our server, Lex, was super attentive, very personable. I would recommend making a reservation as I know they are still working out their systems. This is a great addition to Acworth with a menu that is different from our other great restaurants. read more

Went for the first time last night and will totally be back. The food was excellent, the place is cute, and the staff is so friendly. great recommendations for Lex! We cannot come back to get another pizza and try an appetizer. Do yourself a favor and get the steak frites. You will not be disappointed!!! Keep in mind they have been only open for 40 days.
