#14 Corned Beef Reuben on rye

This cute little sandwich shop is in heart of downtown Acworth. Friendly service, and yummy sandwiches. The pasta salad that came with our sandwich orders were delicious. We really enjoyed the #5 Turkey, Avocado, Bacon, Pepper jack cheese, lettuce, mayo, spicy mustard & #14 Corned Beef Reuben, sauerkraut, melted Swiss, Russian dressing on toasted bread. Each sandwich order comes with a small side of delicious pasta salad and a dill pickle. Perfect lunch and would be great for a picnic at the park. Highly recommend this lunch spot!

This place tastes how it looks. Your visiting an old friend and you get a familiar meal. Why 3 stars then? I grade a place based off of what it compares to. It's a sandwich shop. Boars head meat, catered desserts from a bakery and store bought bread. The kind way of saying this: Boring. My Sand which was a turkey, cheese, cranberry on sourdough. Soft on soft on soft. Ask for toasted. You will thank me later. I decided on this sandwich after getting a no to my homemade questions. Example: Pesto - from a jar And someone who runs this place is obsessed with walnuts. Half the sandwichs have them. Your side of potato salad or pasta salad is served in a sauce to go cup. Great if you are watching your calories, not great if you are hungry. The place itself is great for a small group meet up. One large 10 top in the back for 1 large party. You can hear yourself speak. And so can the employees. My conversation with my lunch buddy was interrupted no less than 3 times. Once, I'll excuse. 3 times? Full on had to patiently listen to a 2-4 minute story. Nope. Lost a star. My triple cherry pie from an undisclosed bakery was wonderful. Frankly, I'd like to go to that bakery. This place is a local hot spot. Most of the young clients were trying it for the first time. The older clientele looked like regulars. My senior companion loved his Rueben. I won't be going back unless I want a quit place to do some writing and only order a slice of pie.

In the heart of Acworth, Georgia's quaint downtown sits this sandwich shop. Stepping into the business, the ambiance and the staff is right out of central casting for a small town eatery. It all holds a charm and the staff engage in the syrupy pleasantness that movies have portrayed as being the norm beyond the doors of small town luncheonette in the south. I ordered a Reuben, though one of the kind women said their chicken breast Reuben was their most popular. I looked over and watched them prepare it and noticed that they put my bread on a toaster. Curious as to why, o then watched as she put the corned beef, swiss cheese, and sauerkraut on the toasted bread and put it all in a microwave. As I witnessed this, one of the other women pulled out a bag of pre-sliced ham and said they had to order more. Looking about, I realized there was no kitchen. They obviously make due with a toaster and a microwave. With my sandwich came a choice of pasta salad or potato salad. I chose the pasta salad and it came in a container that you would put ketchup in. So, it was like a shot glass worth of salad. It also came with a slice of watermelon and a pickle spear. My total for this was just under ten dollars. In my opinion, kind of expensive for the quality and the quantity. As a final minus, if you use a credit card (or I believe a debit card), they charge you more.

The sandwich was pretty good. I would eat it again. Odd that there were 3 grapes on my plate and an olive on top of both halves of my sandwich. One of the grapes was bad. I'm not sure how you miss that when you're only giving someone three. My issues lie with someone handling money and then making sandwiches without washing their hands. I just find that disgusting. Then to top it off, my drinks were flat. It sounded like it came from a can, but even older cans can go bad. I was disappointed by these things.

It's set up like the usual assembly-line spots, similar to Chipotle or CAVA, where you pick a base, toppings, and protein or you can skip the decisions and grab one of their prebuilt bowls. I went with the Mediterranean bowl and it delivered. Grilled chicken with shawarma seasoning, spring mix, broccoli, sweet potatoes (I swapped mine for carrots), tomatoes, cucumber, and onion, plus hummus and pita on the side. Flavorful, filling, and didn't leave me feeling weighed down. They've also got fresh juices and bottled drinks, which fits the whole better-for-you vibe. The space is a little dim with a food court feel and pop music playing in the background. Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough. Prices are about what you'd expect, around $15 for a bowl, but you get a generous portion. I had leftovers, which made it feel more worth it. Overall, a healthier, dependable option when you want something quick but still good quality. Definitely worth checking out. Wear: Crocs Listen to: Fleetwood Mac, Dreams

Not in the staff but there are some minor interior issues which could be addressed. As the dining area and service areas are open plan you can easily see the duct tape doors to the dishwashers area is in dire need of repair versus patching. Also it is rather filthy along the edges. The wall a/c unit also needs to be completely cleaned as it appears to have some grime building up. Now for the biggest disappointment ... our food. Coffee - yummy Country fried steak biscuit..... yea nope not again. It's just like it says just a huge very thin slice of commercial packaged frozen patty of country fried steak laid across an open faced biscuit. I had a side of fresh fruit. But it was mostly out of season fruit so not sweet and still underripe. Biscuit was light and fluffy but I had to order a piece of cheese and some gravy to hide the flavor of the meat and coating. Chicken and waffles - husband's favorite here but today it wasn't the same at all. Chicken was super dry inside. Waffles he described as no different than ones he makes at the hotel lobby. All in all we will wait some before returning to try again at some point. Thank you to the wait staff for always having smiles and helping each other to keep us happy.

Perfectly cooked and healthy and loaded - the hash was phenomenal. My waitress was the sweetest and I really just enjoyed a lovely quiet lunch with the patio entirely to myself on a lovely summer afternoon. Couldn't have been better.
