The corn on the cob sucked, as it was soggy, from clearly being kept in a warming oven or pot for too long. The cheesecake was small, but really good, although I did have to ask about desserts when the server was ready to give us the check. She was also slow in bringing out the dessert and updating our check, but nicer towards the end of the dinner. This is about the 5th time I've been to Red Crab - and just this location. We checked in for a table and were told the wait would only be a couple of minutes. While we were waiting, one of the servers--who ended up being our server, Bill--offered us a sample of their famous clam chowder. It was hot, peppery, and absolutely delicious. That sample alone confirmed we'd made the right choice. Because of the festival, the menu was limited, but I ordered a bowl of the clam chowder and a grilled shrimp skewer. The chowder was easily one of the best I've ever had, comparable to an incredible bowl I once had at Pike Place Market in Seattle. The shrimp skewer was also very flavorful and perfectly cooked. Bill was friendly and attentive throughout our visit, which made an already great experience even better.
