Sometimes off the beaten path (and closer to the Lake) is where you'll find the best times. I absolutely loved my first visit to the Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille. Only 4 years old, this spacious, waterfront eatery is THE place to dine...in Eustis of all places! Open for lunch and dinner with seating barside, tableside, and out by the dock (first and second floor). My simple shrimp basket was delicious - I particularly enjoyed the cocktail sauce and the coleslaw. My fries were nice and hot - just how I like my food. And although my food took a few minutes to come out (there was a 9-top order ahead of mine), my lovely server gave me the head's up as soon as I sat down. I appreciated that - tell me what to expect, especially since this was my first visit. My peach and blood orange mojito hit the absolute spot on this hot Summer Sunday! And when I visited the ladies room I was pleased to find it was SPOTLESS. I'm definitely coming back for the steak tips, fried green beans, fried pickles, and salmon. If you're looking for chill summer vibes digging on good food and tasty drinks in a wonderful setting, then Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille is for you...for me...for all of us.

Once again the food was superb - and service by Mandy was great (prompt and personal) ! The views are great and yes, I need to come for the well known famous sunsets.

Still five stars! We love this place. Today we stopped in for lunch with our doggy of course so we sat n the beautiful patio. Our server Victoria C was so nice - we enjoyed chatting with her. We started with the steak bites - a meal in itself cooked perfectly med rare. Tom had the Monte Cristo which he loved. I had a half pound of peel and eat shrimp which was a very generous portion. I had my fill and then had eight to take home. I don't know what was in the drawn butter but it was delicious and clung to the shrimp perfectly. More than butter I suspect. Great meal, enhanced by a couple of beers. Tab $70 all-in. Yes we will return.

Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille My Sunday Golfers group go to different restaurants every Sunday for lunch after golf. On July 20, we all went to Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille. There were 12 of us and this is the 2nd time we've eaten at this establishment. Both times we were seated in their large room upstairs which overlooked Lake Eustis. A beautiful view. There was also a bar upstairs as well as downstairs and outside in the parking lot. The first time we ate at this establishment, my group though the food was fantastic, service was impeccable, and the overall experience was fantastic. So I decided to give it a try again. I'm the one that normally pick the restaurant. Our server this time was Meagan. Meagan greeted all of us with a smile and was very pleasant. For having to serve our group plus other groups up there, Meagan did not miss a beat. She always checked on us to make sure everyone had a drink and that no one needed anything. She made sure we were happy with our food. No one in my group felt that anything took too long for our orders. Bravo Meagan, because of you, and because of the service you provide, the different food options and the beautiful view of the lake from the restaurant, I will be bringing my group back again. I think I would like to try every dish listed in the menu. Not all at once of course but a great execuse to keep coming back. When I pick a restaurant, service and the food are the two main factors I look at if I'm going to bring my group there. We're all from The Villages and I've selected restaurants as far as Orlando for my group because I also want us to try different ethnic food. I normally go to the restaurant first with my spouse and I observe everything including service, location, ambiance and items in the menu. Normally I've already done my homework using yelp, looking at reviews, checking their website and looking at the menu. I like a menu that has a variety of food options. I want to hear my group say, "there is too much to choose from. I can't decide what pick." That way I know the restaurant has something for everyone. Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille has a variety of food selection and a good cocktail selection. To management, what a wonderful place to go to. The service your servers provide is amazing. This is the third time I have eaten at Lake Eustis Waterfront Grille. I have also been there with my spouse and in-laws. For those that have never eaten at this restaurant, I highly recommend it. You will not regret it. Try the Lavender Lemon Drop Martini or the Crazy Mary.

Food is fantastic, service is always great, and you can't beat the amazing waterfront view! The tiki bar outside is the best spot. They have Bingo on certain days too which is always fun! Make sure to try a seasonal drink, too!

Great on-the-water restaurant with a lively crowd, great service, and good food. Special shout-out to the best fried alligator I've eaten in all of central FL.

Hubby and I found this place on the ma-. Its was packed and they have 3 different earring sites. Inside main building, outside on the dock and the tiki bar playing live music on the weekend. They were busy and the waiter was upfront about it and asked us to place the food early if we were on a time crunch. We sat on the patio by the main building you can enjoy the music without it being too loud. Pets were welcome. Very old Florida you can arrive on boat from the st. John river. Food and drinks were good and worth the price.

Great service. Very friendly young man was our waiter. He suggested items for us and he was right. The fried shrimp baskets were excellent. Sitting next to the water eating and listening to good acoustic rock was perfect.

I came here with my mom looking for a restaurant to eat as most diners were closed we found this on the map. The dining area is kept very sanitary and there's a nice ambience. We were greeted when entered and allowed to switch tables. Steven was our server, very friendly, understanding, and quick when it came to his tables. The food however, did not match the same level the atmosphere promised. First off the drinks, my mother ordered a lemonade and found it disgusting. She found it tasted like frozen lemonade the ones you find at stores. Now for the actual food, My mom ordered a strawberry salad with steak bites, hers was fine very pleased however I ordered the penne Alfredo. The menu says PENNE Alfredo. What they did was take the macaroni from the kids Mac and cheese option tossed it in with the chicken and called it a day. It was terrible, by far the worst pasta I've had at any place I've gone to. If you can't afford penne for your establishment abolish it off the menu rather than deceiving your customers. Manager gave a 50% discount for compensation I appreciate the staff entirely for how they treat their customers wish this was better. Extremely disappointed.

Had a nice first time dining here. Food was pretty good. Temperature was hot. The flavors were pretty decent. Customer service was approachable and always on time with everything. The atmosphere is definitely fun and inviting like to come back and try more fish entrees and especially those swamp fries!

Drink review only!! After our time in Eustis we wanted to end the day here as it had amazing views of the water! It was packed on this Saturday at the outside bar but we were able to snag some seats facing the marina and lake area. The bartender was quick and efficient with our two beer bottles and we just got one round and paid so our interaction was short. There was also a live guitar player that added a nice ambiance to the beautiful Saturday afternoon. It was sunny, we saw a couple small Gator's , the CFB games were playing . You couldn't ask for a better day. The only downside is that the bathrooms were in the main building so it was a little walk to get there . But not a huge deal, I would definitely return to this place for an actual meal!

A quaint little town northwest of Orlando…read more There's shopping, some nice little restaurants, and a big ol' lake that you can rent a catboat on and drive it around. That's what we did that morning. Ambiance was great. It felt like each little dining area was a different room in a big, semi-haunted mansion. Eclectic books and paintings and mirrors and other baubles adorned much of the walls, making for plenty of looking around time during you meal. Very fun. Service was really good. The pacing of the meal was great, and our server was very friendly. We were always with drink, and she knew the menu backwards and forwards, even the special dishes of the night. As for the food, we went whole hog with two apps, two mains, and a dessert to share. Out of everything we ordered, only one of them remains on the current menu, which is a great sign. I love a rotating, seasonal menu. It shows effort, and it definitely encourages return patronage. We started with the Ciabatta Board (toasted ciabatta, house butter made with sun dried tomato, roasted red pepper, parmesan, garlic, chive). This was nice. It was very sun dried tomato, so if you don't like them, don't get this. But very soft, toasty bread made this very lovely. We also got an escargot app which was very creamy and soup-like. The snails were complimented well by the spinach. And the whole thing came with a nice little breadstick. I saved some of the bread from the board for some sopping. Pro move. For our mains, we got a miso butter New York strip and some sort of Asian themed duck. For both mains, the proteins were cooked very very well, and the portion sizes were a good size compared to what I was expecting. Both sets of taters were good. The mash was very smooth and creamy, the roasted baby potatoes were cooked all the way through and were nice and naturally buttery. Both were served with a seasonal veg mix that was pretty ok. It rounded out the plate, but it won't change your world or anything. We finished off with one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. Incredibly smooth with the perfect cheesecake density, the perfect amount of chocolate chips inside, and a nice little crust that added that little bit of texture that is needed from the crust. Overall, quite a meal! To survive in a small town with these prices and those quality ingredientes and that unique of a menu design is very impressive. I will certainly be back.

Cons: Not a single con. A great little visit. Tips: The menu has completely changed since we went, which is good, so I can't recommend any specific dishes. Don't you agree? Give me a LIKE if you do !!! The crepe was next level. Delicate crepe, very soft ripe bananas, sauce was not disgustingly sugary, and the vanilla ice cream was smooth and soft, not icy and sweet. There are lots of delightful restaurants there (according to yelpers) but many were located downtown and parking was hard to find so we decided to go to Fifth Avenue Streatery since we had driven by and there was lots of parking. All of which the tables are outside on a charming patio with lots of interesting decor. It was 11:30 so the day was pleasant and sitting outside was fine. Not sure how I would feel about that in August. Our waitress was Haley (guessing at the spelling) and she was bubbly and very attentive. The menu wasn't overwhelming and I always think that's a good sign that most of the food is being prepared fresh and not pulled from a freezer. My mom ordered the fish sandwich with tomato and cucumber salad. After ordering the Italian Haley said they were out of beef until the owner arrived so I went for the day's special which was a seafood basket: two pieces of fried fish, four huge shrimp and clam strips. Clam strips are not my favorite but these were very crisp and tasty. It was served with fries and cold slaw. We both agreed the food was very good. I asked for some cocktail sauce and after a few minutes she came back with saying she had to make some. It was fantastic, very horseradish forward which I loved. I am glad we couldn't locate our first two choices since we got to eat at this funky little place and have the best server in all of Mt. Dora.
