Staff are pleasant and always and WILLING to listen which is a rarity in the Hospitality Industry. I know I spent 40 years in the business in all different capacities. Operations, training to franchising. With AI having an impact in all businesses especially the banking and food service business, there is no hint of any staff cutbacks at Denningers. The complete opposite impact is prevalent. The food is always fresh from the kitchen at the sit down restaurant where schnitzels, sour kraut, bockwurst, potato fries are made to order from a very nice sized menu but simple enough to not confuse customers. Latte's are also available as well as tea and assortment of cold drinks. Seating area is large enough to seat 100 people easily and lunch time is packed. Outdoor seating is available and so is a beer with your meal. The retail store has a bakery, butcher for all your meats, cold cuts and cheeses and lots of sampling takes place during the week. The store is immaculately clean and spacious washrooms are available for those trips after consuming a cafe or an alcoholic beverage. Great place to complete some paperwork while enjoying a latte. I am so glad that the Denningers has only improved over the years and they are pillars of the community in Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville. Having moved to Calgary for 22 years I missed my visits to Denninger's and their high quality foods. Bravo Denningers of Burlington Mall you have me as a customer for life!

He had some frozen bacon wrapped steaks all of different thicknesses. The man behind the counter was kind enough to put together three of similar thickness, so I took those. Most real butcher shops have enough beef filets to cut the steaks a customer wants. The meat looks like good quality, but don't come here expecting a butcher shop or a butcher.

One time, Boffo's steak was so fresh, it punched me in the face. It was AWESOME. But enough Mean Girls references, let's get down to the meat. THE MEAT. They are the BEST butchers in Oakville, with the best employees. Everytime I come in, I feel SO welcomed, I have never felt the least bit intimidated or like I didn't belong. I've bought everything from meats to prepared pasta meals to lunch from Boffo's, and everything is amazing, everytime. I can't get over how decadent and high-end they feel, but how friendly and down to Earth they really are. If you like to eat, you will love Boffo's. Go today. Prices are very reasonable. The bread has a perfect texture and taste in every bite, whether eaten alone or with the wide selection of deli meats (love that they will do thinly sliced that melt in your mouth) and cheese. I'm also happy to see that they offer nitrite free chicken or turkey as well. I also tried the mini pizzas. They were ok for a quick bite. The staff are pleasant, and quickly ask if we need help. The deli counter can be a bit slow depending on who looks after you. The place is small and gets busy. Lunchtime is also busy when customers drop in for Italian hot food takeout. Overall, I recommend this bakery. Some of the regular customers recommended the hot meatball or chicken/veal sandwiches loaded with grilled veg so I'll probably try those next.

I'm not sure if this was actually what caused the Subway to go out of business but I wouldn't be surprised. You're greeted with classic deli smell when you walk in. To the right is the bakery counter with desserts like cannolis and cookies. Since it was close to Thanksgiving, there were full sized pies available. I'm told that on the weekdays, that's a hot counter that has great lunch options. The back of the store has the deli counter that has a big selection of meats and cheeses. We went with salami and pastrami on this occasion. To the left of this counter are all the breads. Some are on racks while others are in baskets that you can grab with tongs. We grabbed some kaiser rolls here. The middle section of the store are grocery items. There were a lot of Italian specialties that and artisan goods available. There was flavoured risotto, herbed olive oil, and those big Italian cakes that come in a box for Christmas but was pumpkin flavoured for fall!

But when you see bugs on *fresh baked goods* it's an indication of a bigger problem. Indifferent staff, unclean premises and intermittent care and cleaning of fresh food spaces, processes, preservation and preparation of onsite food They do stock safe and hygienic foods that are sealed and are imported. They also have artisan bacon, an antipasto bar and various other specialty products. Family owned/operated, the staff is super friendly, funny and knowledgeable, the selection is vast, the quality is top-shelf and the prices are pretty reasonable given the quality. They always have various free samples and will generally allow you to sample anything you want. Ask them questions and they'll have good answers, recipe ideas and cooking techniques. Spend liberally and they'll toss a little free "gift" into your bag at the end. Been going here almost 20 years. Love these guys.
