Veggie sub, they forgot the lettuce + tomato.
    Jessica H.

We stopped at this firehouse subs while on a road trip that took us up I-95. The interior was clean, the cashier was friendly, all in all you could do worse. But the sandwiches took a while to arrive at our table. For fast food, be aware that you won't get in and out in less than 45 minutes. Also, I ordered a veggie sub with basically all the veggies in the place, but they forgot the lettuce and tomato. Still a tasty sandwich but I was kind of surprised- and of course in too much of a hurry to go back and ask them to change it. They seemed a little frazzled (though it was a weekday and not extremely busy) and I overheard one of the cooks asking another customer what he had ordered, and this guy had been there just as long as us!

So I'm not too fond of this place but the girls like it.... I tried the new bbq sandwich. It's was ok. Customer service was good. There were some tables that needed to be cleaned but otherwise ok.

Being from California, it's a little strange to accept the fact that Floridians aren't much yelpers - which is unfortunate for businesses. And though I really do not yelp much, I felt Firehouse Subs definitely deserves a yelp. Apparently this chain is prevalent in Florida, but sparse anywhere else. Unfortunately, there are no Firehouse Subs in California either, which is sad because the quality of these subs would probably make Firehouse Subs do business better than places like Subway or Quiznos that are in every city in Cali. I had low expectations for the subs at Firehouse Subs. I figured if I've had plenty of subs at Subway or Quiznos, these shouldn't be much different. Wrong. Definitive wrong. My first bite and I was blown away by the mouth-watering, savory flavors of a single sub. I had the NY steamer which contained corned beef brisket, pastrami, melted provolone, mustard, mayo, and Italian dressing. It was amazing. Every bite blasted with flavor and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Trust me, I've had my fair shares of subs and even sandwiches. But Firehouse Subs takes the cake. Granted you can make your own personalized subs at places like Subway, but the variety of choices and great combinations at Firehouse Subs makes up for it. I do wish there were Firehouse Subs in California.

I really wanted to like it but 6.00 for one of the smallest and worst subs I ever had. Sorry but will never go back. Lousy attitudes too.

My favorite "chain" sandwich joint. Always at least above average. Had some slower service here, but everyone was friendly.

I was excited to go in and get a fresh hot pastrami sandwich, expecting something hearty and satisfying. Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed. The biggest issue was the size of the sandwich. For the price, I honestly couldn't believe how small it was -- it was basically the size of a hot dog bun and felt more like a kid's meal than a full sandwich. That alone completely threw me off. The food may have had decent flavor, but once you feel like you overpaid for such a tiny portion, it honestly ruins the overall experience. I went in expecting a real deli-style pastrami sandwich and left feeling underwhelmed and still hungry. Maybe other menu items are better, but based on my experience, the portion size just didn't justify the price. Staff people were very welcoming.

This is a mobile order so I can't comment on the restaurant but all of the food was well packaged and with appropriate utensils in the delivery bag. I ordered a Pastrami Reuben and a Garden Salad. To start, the garden salad was ok. It's shredded iceberg with chopped provolone, cucumbers and olives. It also has sliced onions and green peppers with a smattering of olives, chopped banana peppers and a couple of tomato slices. I topped it with Larry's Italian dressing, and it was good. Now the Reuben was very good. I'm not a huge fan of rye, but this was very subtle. It had a decent portion of pastrami. The dressing and sauerkraut were good, and I opted for provolone instead of Swiss cheese. All in all a very filling sandwich which fulfilled my craving for pastrami. I'll order from here again... maybe not a salad but I'd like to try the corned beef. And they do have other sandwiches on the menu...

The daily special was recommended to me by the guy taking my order. He answered all of my questions without any hesitation and giving me his honest feedback. They have a desert that rotates daily and when I was there it was a chocolate banana pie which was excellent. Then I also ordered a large fries to share with my wife and her friend and that bag was stuffed to the top with fries. They were amazing fries and I saw the peeling and cutting them in house. The ambiance was very much a beach vibe. It was a cute place that you could go to in your swim suits and no one would notice. I would definitely check out Paco subs again next time I'm in NSB

They had visited one in San Antonio, but reveled in the more massive scale that the Daytona location offers. I kind of went crazy myself, buying way more than intended. It's easy to do. From so many tempting food items, snacks, apparel to housewares, things can really get out of hand spending-wise. I can rationalize a lot of it though, because individual items, for the most part, are priced reasonably. This time I grabbed a Brisket & Egg Taco. That brisket is amazing! Enjoyed having it without any BBQ sauce slathered on so I could purely appreciate the meat's glorious fatty flavor. Their tortillas are made fresh at a devoted station. Everything is well-maintained from the restrooms to merchandise displays. My cashier was another bright spot. She engaged me in conversation and made me feel valued as a customer. Getting in and out of the parking lot can be frustrating, and it feels like an accident is waiting to happen. As a veteran with little patience for unnecessary chaos, this location can be overwhelming. One positive is the car wash, which I recommend if you're already stopping for fuel. If you're just looking for snacks or the Buc-ee's experience, I'd suggest the St. Augustine location. It has all the same offerings with a lot less chaos. I think the crowds here are mostly due to families traveling to and from Orlando. If you don't mind heavy traffic and busy parking lots, you'll probably be fine, but I prefer St. Augustine.
