The menu consists of sandwiches, burgers, soups, macaroni & cheese and Sheperd's pie. - Soup of the day ($5.25 bowl) - there were two options but we went for the green pea soup. The ladies asked if we were sharing and split it into two bowls for us. Soup was hearty and healthy; something your aunt or grandma would make you at home. - Brando's burger ($11.00) - we asked for gluten free bread ($0.75) which took a bit longer to make/toast. Schnitzel is a large portion but doesn't have a crunchy texture. Sandwich hit the spot. - Roast beef ($8.25) - J opted for a kaiser bun for his roast beef sandwich. Thoroughly enjoyed on his end. Their delivery person is also really nice, which can change, but is a nice bonus. I'd say their website user interface needs some help, as things go missing in my cart without notification, but that's a minor nit to pick. The best aspect of this company is their customer service. They are very considerate of their customers - I once ordered some chips and was given a small discount after purchase because of the short shelf life. So I swore off SOF and went over to Thriftys. Now I'd always thought Thriftys was much more expensive, but it's really not that much depending what you buy. And the quality... well, there's no comparison. You do get what you pay for. This Thriftys has very friendly staff who all recognize me and always say hi. I buy a lot of fresh veg and bananas, and the produce is excellent albeit a little higher priced. But I'll pay a little more for consistency which saves me time going to another store. I've also always had very positive interaction asking if they have more/bigger in the back. Well stocked shelves, very clean store, lovely bakery, nice variety (especially considering it's a smaller store), nice atmosphere, and great floral department. Some good snack and lunch ideas in the deli department. The store may be small but they almost always have what I want and more. One stop shopping 99.9% of the time. Their customer service is excellent. I also want to mention one specific experience. I'm a local shop keep and my two door freezer went down one day. I went over to Thriftys and asked if there was any chance I might be able to store some inventory in their freezer for a day or two til mine got fixed. One of the owners said they didn't really have the space (like I said, it's small store), but then he looked at me and said, "You know what? We'll make the space for you." I was so grateful.
