Terribly inconsistent. We've been to many Firehouse Subs over the years and generally the experience has been good and customer service has been decent. The inconsistency has been the portion size and correctness of order and based on other reviews, this location has been experiencing this issue for years. We even ordered online to make clear our substitutions and additions and yet we received incorrect orders and sparse amounts of meat. It's frustrating to gamble on what we're going to get and it shouldn't be on us to check every single sandwich in our to-go order to make sure they got it right. We support the mission of Firehouse Subs and fire fighters everywhere but we're not coming back to this location, because it's too exhausting. What can I say? Everything was great! Ordered online for pick-up and order was being packed up as I walked in the door. Mind you, my wife and I had never eaten anything from Firehouse before. And wow! We both had the French Dip sandwich and it was delicious! We also ordered the Mac & Cheese which we enjoyed as well! This place puts Subway and Jimmy John's to shame. Subway has been going downhill for years and, sadly, our Jimmy John's changed owners and you can tell. I will gladly give my money to Firehouse Subs from now on! read more

Love this place - so much better than any of the other sub/sandwich places around - sometimes have to resist having it twice in one day. Owner/manager seems like he really cares - I don't think he gets a day off because he's always there. After years of wanting a Firehouse Subs nearby us, we get one on Randall Rd that is below expectation. Their sandwiches are lacking in filling and overpriced. Good idea but poorly presented. Their "small" sub is the size of a kids meal at other sandwich restaurants. Their "medium" sub should be filling for the average adult for a simple lunch. However, yesterday I ordered the Hook and Ladder: supposed to have ham AND turkey, cheese and toppings. Ordered this to go. Took a while to make and nobody else was currently ordering. Finally my sandwich was done. I took it and drove home. Opened up my sandwich and there was ONE piece of ham and ONE piece of turkey (both deli slices) with cheese melted on top, lettuce, onion, tomato, and may. What? The toppings said it was supposed to come with mustard, not mayo. And a individually wrapped pickle spear on the side. The sandwich tasted ok but left me hungry as that was not enough protein for any adult. With several competitors in the area (Jersey Mike's is across the street) this chain needs to either add more meat or lower their prices. Why would I want to return when there are five other better sandwich chains about a mile each direction from here? read more

I do not recommend the Italian meatball sub. It wasn't great. I didn't taste any garlic on the garlic bread. The tomato sauce was very pungent. The meatballs weren't good and it didn't need the pepperoni which added nothing to the sandwich. Just my opinion. read more

Absolutely love these subs! My girlfriend and always try to seek out a firehouse location whenever we travel as we know they all offer gluten free subs and have been very careful in their preparation. It has always been a safe choice for her as she is highly allergic to gluten. Unfortunately we tried twice now to go to the Randall Road location, and they told us that they do not offer a gluten free sandwich. Despite the fact there that has a sign on the counter "gluten free buns", on their website it offers a gluten free bun, and the corporate website says "all locations offer a gluten free bun." I have been going to Firehouse Subs almost everyday for lunch since the new owner took over recently and I have to say this place has really turned around, the service is better, the staff is friendlier, and the food taste so much better! The steak and cheese is my go-to sub and I would definitely recommend giving it a try, getting it with their loaded potato soup is a great combo! My bank had put a deposit on a 24-hour hold for some reason, and so I didn't have sufficient funds for my order. The "angel" in front of me paid for almost all of the order, and Firehouse paid for the rest. I'm not at all trying to encourage others to pretend to not have enough money just in order to get free food. That would be very shameful and just plain wrong! The food is awesome. These subs are my favorite from any chain. But.... One cannot obtain five stars or enjoy when this location is closed more hours and days than open. I went last night and arrived before 5 p.m. - CLOSED. No sign stating it would be closed except on Sundays. Extremely disappointing. So word to the hungry 1. I don't think I've ever seen someone who looked old enough to be out of high school working at Firehosue Subs, which is fine when the person is dedicated and wants to be there, but.. I don't know what the issue is. There us no sense of urgency, they try to move fast but they get mixed up and flustered. Ive never worked here and can run circles around 3 employees im sure of it. Our sandwiches were delicious! I had the jerky jerky and my mom had ham and cheese... Their specialties are warm sandwiches. Those very fresh and really good size. I found a promo code and was able to place an order online and so did my coworkers but upon arriving to the store the owner refused to make any of our sandwiches and then refused to explain why or give any reasons why. Well, I rarely give my opinion on this app. I usually use it to check out ratings from others regarding places that we want to try out. So, we're in town and planned to go to the Algonquin Sun shop but they had an oven malfunction and closed early. Unfortunately we went here. It was awful. Although the food was mediocre the confusion over our order, extra's not well explained receiving what was not ordered, a plain salad when a protein rich salad was ordered... all led to this poor review.
