Just stopped in for dinner and I decided not to order anything because as we were waiting to be served the cooks on the line were eating and stuffing their mouths and went straight back to making sandwiches without changing their gloves. by far the worst customer service ive ever experienced in person. 5 people behind the counter doing absolutely nothing. they left out one of our sandwiches and it took about 30 minutes for a kids grilled cheese. staff didn't seem to care about the customers and were more invested in themselves. read more

Trash full and sticking out of the trash bin. Sticky floors as if they don't mop nightly. Do not waste your time or money. I think their chili is some of the best fast food chili anywhere. They have enough choices of hot sauce to make any heat fan happy. The hook and ladder sub is also on of the best subs anywhere. There's definitely an organization issue or something here. It's a sub place that just takes too long. Why? Im not sure when there are 4 employees, one manager and no one in drive thru. The meat steams for all of 30 seconds but your minimum wait is definitely 10-15 minutes. You can order online but you cannot pay in store, you have to pay with your card online, and for once I only have cash today lol. But orders are taken and then come out incorrectly- maybe it's recorder incorrectly or maybe the employees speed read the tickets and misinterpret the ticket but it was anything but fast food. read more

So my girlfriend went in, she's lactose intolerant. She did a custom sub. Not a base sub where you add and remove things. A CUSTOM sub. She specified no matter what that she wanted no cheese. She spent 12 dollars on this meal and got to eat a pickle. One. Pickle. Because they not only added cheese but they melted it on. They never even asked what kind of cheese so that she could correct them and say no cheese at all. They just assumed both that she wanted cheese and what kind of cheese. This isn't the first time something like this has happened to someone I know at this exact location. So warning: if you have any allergies don't go here. They'll ignore and assume. Usually like FHS. This location, however, was lacking. Order was taken immediately. Then we stood around for 15+ minutes to get our sandwiches. Some friend of the staff or non-working staff person came in and got handed a sandwich on the DL while 7 people were waiting on their meals. Cheese was left off my sandwich but after waiting that long, I wasn't going to go back in and ask for cheese for a sandwich that was supposed to be hot. I just went through drive-through because it's raining and I don't feel good. The cashier that rang up my order was Kathy and the young man that waited on me at the window and took my order over the telephone, his name I did not get. Both Kathy and the young man were friendly and very polite. They great customer Service, by being fast, accurate and looking neat (which I like when they are fixing my food). I liked seeing the young man wearing gloves while fixing my drink! The young man had a huge smile on his face the entire time, very friendly. I'd just left church and I wasn't feeling well so when I pulled up to the drive thru and told him I was glad they had a drive thru because I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to have to go inside. He very kindly told me that I didn't have to but that I did need to call my order in first. No big deal. I pulled off and called it in. I waited only a few minutes on my order. Although I have not eaten my sub yet I know it will be delicious because firehouse subs always are, no matter where you get them, but I appreciate when I get good customer service. It seems funny to rate a chain like this, but sometimes you just have an experience that needs to be shared. The wife and I were passing through South Carolina on I85 South going home to GA when we decided on a late-ish lunch on Sunday afternoon. We agreed a Firehouse Sub would hit the spot, so we Yelped for the closest one and wound up here. It's a little hard to get to on the four lane highway and instead of the U-turn and double back I almost went somewhere else, but I pressed on. The place was almost empty which was kinda ominous, but there was an ample staff there. As we approached the line we found the friendliest, nicest people. I wish I could call them all out, and I hope I'm not violating a Yelp rule, but a big guy named...let's just do an initial and call him Q. He was just the nicest guy with the warmest smile, Fixed us up with a sub just like we liked it. He said "you came at the right time, you just missed the crowd!" Apparently they had been crushed with crowds backed out the door not long before we got there. The restaurant was a little disheveled (understandably) and they were working furiously to bring it back into shape. The staff were all kind and friendly, they acted like they loved their job and enjoyed serving customers. And yes the food was excellent, that's why we search for Firehouse when we get the urge. This review is more about people than food. I'll always remember that big smilin' guy named Q, and those other young people who seemed so sweet. They were working their tails off and making it happen. They just made this old guy's day. The Cheese Steak I had was just that much better because of the way they delivered! Stop by if you're coming through on I85 and get the urge for a good sub and some friendly faces. read more

The guys did really great and we had a very fun time having a meal that my seven year old and husband enjoy. I looked up firehouse on google to get the app for the rewards because we even commented on how we wanted to make this one of our regular treat meal spots and the cashier suggested us to the rewards. I went to firehouse for dinner tonight and was very disappointed in the staff. I had to wait a long time for the food itself, and while sitting there the staff was making fun of a lady who had come in after myself. The lady had a thick southern accent and the manager thought it was fun to make fun of her. Also, when asked if I would like a fork, I answered no and she said good because they were out and she wasn't going to walk to the back. I understand having fun at work, but not by making fun of patrons especially when they are 10 ft away. I will never return to this location. read more
