It was 1:30 pm on a random Tuesday and I finally had the opportunity to stop in at the much hyped Huey Magoo's to see what it was all about. There was no line and I was able to order right away. But there were about five cars in the drive through, three were waiting to get up to the order Mike. The reason I say this is that I noticed the workers, while very pleasant in demeanor, were also not in any hurry to clear the line/ orders. Their pace was very casual. Then one of them comes around the counter and yells to the others, very dramatically, "We are wrapped, y'all." Meaning, she thought the line for the drive through was wrapped around the building. She emphatically repeated here statement...."Like, wrapped, y'all!" Well, I don't know what was expected, but this had no impact on the crew. It seemed that there was an ample crew too. Three were working on unwrapping the drive through, one was sweeping and there was the front counter clerk and at least four in the kitchen that I saw working. If they were not dabbing up the three or four friends that showed up in the restaurant. I figure this may be a high school hang out since it is so close to WHHS. Makes sense. My three piece tenders combo took 6 minutes to get fulfilled. To the credit of the front clerk, she saw my order delivered in the window and took care of bagging it and condiments etc, as it was a "to go" order. The restrooms and restaurant were clean. I mentioned the staff was pleasant, but distracted and slow (including getting my order out, but I appreciated she got on it). Three tenders, a fry, a drink, and a slice of Texas Toast for $12.19. The drink being $2.69, but I wanted to try the tea. The tea was good, not too watery, not too bitter and I'm a 1/3 sweet 2/3 unsweetened guy, so good tea and good crunchy nuggets of ice. But, if you blindfolded me, I would be challenged to differentiate between Huey and Zaxby. The chicken is similar, Zaxbys is a bit saltier due to brine or longer brine. The crunch is similar. Magoo sauce is a bit thicker and slightly spicier than Zax, but if you weren't paying too much attention, who would ever know? It was good, with a trip back while in the area, but not a place I would drive to as a destination meal.

Yum! Fresh food and good portions. Better than Zaxby's! Loved you could get the tenders sauced. Both the buffalo and lemon pepper were delicious. My mom and I split a 7 piece sauced meal ($13.39) comfortably. Cashier was friendly and answered all our questions. They'll bring the food to your table. A little small inside; every table was taken on a Saturday around lunch. You get a free cookie when you sign up for their email!

Tasty. The sandwich is very saucy, and made with with three tenders. Not my favorite way to eat a sandwich since it can be messy, but it was good. Crinkle fries are fresh and plentiful. Was confused when given my total so I must have missed the small print on the menu board? (I read $8.49...for just the sandwich?) I just don't think I'll ever get used to paying almost $12 for lunch at a drive thru but it was good to try once. Drive thru was fast and friendly.

I am so happy that I finally decided to try this place out. The food is absolutely amazing. You definitely will leave full. The tenders are a decent size and so juicy and delicious. You get a good amount of fries and the butter toast was also amazing. I'm a sauce person so I tried the ranch, honey mustard and the Huey sauce. The ranch was top notch!! The honey mustard was good too. That Huey sauce is odd. It has a kick of something but the sauce just doesn't have a taste to it. It's odd. But will I go back absolutely. This is now my go to chicken tenders spot.

I always enjoy my meal when I come here. The service is good and the people are amazing! I will definitely be coming back soon.

Nope, nope, nope. What disgusting food! I know this place has some fans but I'd label the food practically inedible for me. Here's why. It was extremely salty. I ordered the 5 piece tenders (Garlic Parmesan) and had to stop after two tenders. Yuck. Couldn't stand it. The fries weren't much better. Pretty soggy. So was the bread. Suffice it to say, I will never, ever, go back here. Im glad other people like it, but for me, there are far superior fast food options nearby.

I have to update my review. Nothing changes about the staff they were very personable and very nice. It was certainly an abundance of them as well. But I have to say I was not thrilled with the chicken. It was not done like that ordered an extra crispy. I was afraid it was the chicken named tenders and I was correct... Yuck especially not very well done. Quickly gave me a refund and it's unlikely that I'll be back anytime soon because I do not like that part of the chicken. Additionally my Texas toast was sopping with grease or "butter"

Been wanting to try this place. Got the chicken tenders kids meal. This place is almost like Zaxbys except the bread isn't as soggy and oily. The Magoo's sauce is like Zax sauce but creamier. Not as spicy. The fries have that seasoned salt like Zaxby's. Tenders pretty good. Average size. Nothing to get too excited about unless you love chicken. The food was fresh, cooked appropriately, and the service was quick and professional. I'd like to come back and try their salad!

We'd heard good things about the burgers and decided to try them, ordering ours cooked medium. The server mentioned that unless specified, burgers are typically served medium well. The wait for our food was a bit long, and it seemed other tables were experiencing the same. Bohemian seems like a better spot to visit when you're not in a rush. When the burgers arrived, both were cooked well done instead of medium. Unfortunately, our server didn't check back until we were nearly finished eating. I showed her the overcooked burger, and she offered to have another one made, but by then we'd already eaten. The flavor was good, but it definitely would've been better at the requested temperature. Lesson learned--check your burger doneness before your server leaves the table, especially when they're priced around $16-$18 and more. On the bright side, the fries were excellent! Overall, despite the hiccup, I'll be back. Bohemian is worth giving another try.

However, I have found our family to be that of unconventional thinkers, so instead of finding a typical after-church dining locale, we went to the pinnacle of consumerism and capitalism--Haywood Mall. Mrs. W. and I had agreed that finding a place for Baby W. to play before or after eating was important, which also was a factor in where to go after learning about our friend and savior, Jesus Christ. The mall recently renovated its play place to include flashing lights, metal slides, and apparently, almost all of Greenville's population under 2. I had heard of Great Wraps and by that I mean I had briefly seen the sign above their food court booth on my way to the amply-hidden restrooms in the back corner of the food court, but I felt today was the day I would try their cuisine. After snapping Baby W.'s chair to a sturdy table, and after Mrs. W. returned with a plate of Thai food she paid $1.50 too much for (her words), I eagerly sprinted to the Great Wraps booth to give it a try. Great Wraps offers a large variety of wraps, although I wouldn't say their variety is great. Chicken something, chicken something else, and more chicken something. But then, there it was ... falafel hummus wrap. My love of falafel goes back to the Bush administration, enjoying those savory balls of chickpeas at the Pita House while avoiding returning to my paying job. I don't know what else is in falafel, but I can only assume it's addictive because I've always wanted more, but I am too lazy to use Google to learn to make my own. The falafel at Great Wraps is neither spherical nor likely fresh, but it is fried, which meets one of the requirements for it being falafel. During the construction of my wrap, I was asked by the helpful young chap who appeared to be knowledgable about wrap construction if I wanted my wrap "spicy." I've had some questionable experiences with spicy food (looking at you Dragon Den), but felt brave and ready to make the attempt again, so I let the young man know I would take him up on his generous offer to enhance my flavor journey. Several other identifiable ingredients later, my wrap was completed and distributed to me for immediate consumption. I added a little of the available shaker spices to my wrap for extra danger and begun consumption. I was pleased with the result. I let Mrs. W. know next time we ate post-religious ceremony Sunday lunch at our local indoor shopping center, I would likely give Great Wraps additional business. Her immediate response of, "OK," brought forth confidence I've not seen since the prior day when I committed to "spicy" over "non-spicy" at the local Dragon Den.

The menu is quite large, and it took a bit of time to decide on my order, but I ultimately went with a combo including a half ham wrap, a drink, and a side of pasta salad. The cashier was very good about openly telling everyone in line about price differences from the printed menu before ordering. Because the kitchen was experiencing a significant delay, it seemed like they quietly upgraded me to a whole wrap as a nice peace offering! It came cut into two parts, with one part wrapped neatly in foil. Personally, I really wish they offered a "build your own" option where you could just choose your own specific bread, meat, cheese, and toppings, rather than having to hunt through the large preset menu options to find a combination where you like everything. I was really surprised by how incredibly small the side portion of pasta salad was--about the size of a standard salad dressing container! I've honestly never seen a side dish served that small before, so I posted a photo of the two side by side to show the exact comparison. Next time, I would skip the combo entirely and just order the sandwich on its own. The ham wrap itself was really good, and the small bite of pasta salad was very tasty. However, it did take quite a bit longer than it should have for the food to leave the kitchen, so this slow wait time could definitely be an issue for someone on a tight lunch schedule.
