This sub sandwich shop being located in the Lakeport Commons Mall is conveniently within the shopping center anchored by Kohl's is an ideal place to stop and have a sub sandwich and has nice decor like you're working in a firehouse, and it is also the place for sub sandwiches for the East High Raiders, especially for when they want to stop here after school and have a nice treat. Stopped here to eat on Black Friday on my lunch break from my shift at my workplace and had a pepperoni pizza meatball sub and it was really great. Didn't have much time as I had to be back on the clock at work. The food is great, although it can be a bit messy if you don't eat responsibly. I love how you can stock up on points every time you come here, and how using the points is one nice way to save yourself some money for a treat. The food is alright. We hadn't been there in a long time because frankly, we forget about it. It's kind of tucked off into a spot we don't notice often. But recently we saw a fun deal online that had to do with letters of our names. We went in to order where there were zero people in line ahead of us. The person working sauntered over and said "it's going to be about a twenty minute wait. We have to get these online orders done first." So we asked if it would be better if we went home, ordered online, and came back. He said "yeah, probably." So we did. Of course we had to download the app which was super clunky- maybe not working right because of the special deal that day? Had to enter the order multiple times. It said the order was received finally and to go pick it up at 12:30. I arrived at 12:27. There was one other guy there waiting for a pickup order, and no in-store customers in line. There was one table of three people eating. That's it. There were three people working. No one said anything to me or asked what I needed, if I was there for pickup, nothing. The guy waiting said no one had talked to him either. He said he'd been there for over half an hour just standing there. I felt bad for him. Then I did the same dang thing. Not one word was uttered to me or to the lady who came in after me to wait also. In the meantime, we watched these three people working take their sweet time, disappear into the back for a while, take phone calls, chitchat, seemingly take a little BREAK, and basically do everything excerpt be efficient or courteous. I expected Ashton Kutcher to pop out at any moment, but he never did. At least then it might have been worth it! Worst service EVER. Will never return, obviously. read more

I have ordered here many times. My food is generally good, but always late (more than 15 minutes). Today. I have waited almost an entire hour after my online order was supposed to be done. I tried to cancel my order via the app but it would not allow it. I talked to the store employee and she said they were working on the order. I have watched more than 10 people come in and leave without ordering. Who owns this store? Why are they letting the service and cleanliness decline so much? Wow, is all I can say, I had an amazing experience at Firehouse Subs in Sioux City, Iowa today. I was immediately greeted at the door by the friendly staff. The restaurant has closed doors to get new staff but the new ones are really keeping the place clean, bathrooms are clean, everything is stocked, food is coming out slow but expected because it is freshly made in front of you. The GM is clearly dedicated and ensured everything was running smoothly as she is always there every time I come in with my family, which is a couple times a week. There was a girl that was there today at the register who took my order and was patient with me as I didn't know what I wanted to eat and she even recommended a Steak and Cheese and after getting it I was very pleased about trying it for the 1st time. Twice we have stopped at this location over 6 months apart and both times we had the exact same experience. The manager was extremely disrespectful both times (probably the same one). Place was dirty. We ordered online this time, our food was ready and we walked to the car to check, but we were short two gluten free meals we paid for. We went back in to ask and they said the truck didn't come in (this was the story last time). They had charged us, not contacted us nor told us when we picked up our order (the only order sitting there) that we were charged and our order was not complete. We went back in to get a refund where the manager was not respectful at all about it. Had we driven away without checking our order, we would've been charged for two meals that were accounted for! I placed a mobile order for today: December 27 at 8:09 p.m. They aren't supposed to close until nine. When I got there, the sign said open, but the door was locked, and they were closing up. I hope I don't get charged for the order I didn't receive, and that they at least post a sign if they are going to close early. Very disappointed. read more

I was in this restaurant while traveling Tuesday, September 4 2018 and was overwhelmed by the friendliness of the young staff. They engaged with me while making me one of the best subs I've ever had. It is unusual to find young people willing to engage with an older person or provide the level of customer service that this young staff offered. Disgusting, the bread was so soggy I literally could squeeze oil out of it. The boxes the sandwich came in was filthy. Gross.
