Love the food here but they are starting to get sloppy with their orders. Last year I added a cookie to order (online). They changed the type of cookie to one I don't like which would be okay but I really think it would have been nice for them to ask (you know call) They couldn't refund my money. When I put in their survey, manager said come in and ask for her and she'd give me correct one. Problem is only certain hours no night weekends etc. No more upsell for me. FYI- no more surveys either-company doesn't do them. Today, I asked for light mayo and an extra pickle slice. Apparently their version and mine are different what light is. It was slathered on both sides of bread with mayo. So much so that food slid off of sandwich. We go out of our way to come here and I think they do a better job when you order in store of following instructions. Food is fresh and tasty. Staff is friendly. Not a whole lot to say as this is a sub place. I was starving like Marvin and wanted a sandwich. My company tends to order lunch from this location a lot, so I know the food. I love their ham. Not sure why it has a sweetness to it, but I love it and I love it on white bread. So I ventured out to get a ham and turkey sandwich...why not, I am special and deserve it. I ended up getting the large as I was going to feed me and Marvin....way too big (that's what she said). Sandwich itself was nice. Wasn't quite toasted, but it was warm. Personally I am not a fan of toasted bread, so warm was good for me. The large can easily feed two, three if you have a soup, 4-6 if you are models and that will be a great meal. Place was clean and the staff was very friendly, including one woman who was having lunch and she still greeted me. They have a great selection of chips,...okay I don't really care about the chips other than they have salt and vinegar chips and I love those. While this review is for my personal lunch with them, I am going to have to give them a shout out for their catering services. I have ordered their sub platters several times (sandwiches, drinks, chips, dessert) and the service has been great. The delivery woman has always been very helpful and professional getting everything set up. Definitely would do lunch for me and my meetings again. read more

We really liked this location! We visited last week to grab some sandwiches to go. I forget how many options they have here and how large their large sandwiches are! We were warmly welcomed with a hello and directed where to pick-up our order. I tried something new and got the large Spicy Cajun Chicken. It came with grilled, cajun-seasoned chicken breast, cherry peppers, pepper Jack cheese, lettuce, onions, deli mustard, and their house-made Cajun mayo. Flavor BLAST! I prefer hot sandwiches so I really enjoyed this one. The chicken was well seasoned and I loved the mayo. The bread also stayed crunchy which impressed me for a hot take-out sandwich. My husband got the meatball sandwich and he really enjoyed it. I had a bite (or two :D) and the meatballs were amazing. They were moist and so flavorful. We also appreciated the large containers that the sandwiches are served in. Makes it so easy to eat in the car or on the go. The store was clean and had social distancing reminders which is great to see. I love supporting Firehouse Subs because of their mission and the way they give back to the community. I also learned that, "A portion of your purchase in 2020 at all US Firehouse Subs locations goes to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, to be used to provide lifesaving equipment to first responders." FIGHTING THE FLAMES Solid sammiches with a hot sauce "buffet" (!!) I was perhaps a wee bit unfair to these guys in the last review update, and given their friendly attitudes (always consistent with the 'hellos' & 'thank yous') I need to bump them back up a star. They've added more menu options, now offering different size sub sandwiches -- small, medium, and large. The New York Steamer (pastrami with deli mustard) and Italian (salami with provolone and dressing) are my go-to choices. The dozens of hot sauce bottles are more than just a display: you can sample as many as you like! They range from 1-12 (anything above a '9' will result in painful death) and I've found a few favorites among the collection. Workers are typically kind and grateful for business. The Coke freestyle machine is loaded with a bazillion flavors and the restrooms have always been clean. One of their cool quirks is to donate towards a public safety fund (which one, I'm not sure). They'll ask if you'd like to round up your purchase to the nearest dollar, so basically your spare change goes to proceeds. A really nice gesture, I think. I still prefer Potbelly's for hot subs (Jersey Mikes for cold subs), but Firehouse is legit and I'm glad to have them so close by my work. Recommended! read more

Very RUDE and mean Customer Service. The staff doesn't care about their customers. I have a T -Mobile coupon and I asked them to hold the HAM CAUSE I DON'T EAT PORK. The girl yell can't modify the order. You just take the ham off. I explained the oil from the ham would still be on the sandwich, and she said not my problem. She said I can order another sub. But it would be full price. I asked again could they leave it off. She slam her hand down and said if your not happy. I can leave. Another staff member was coughing and laughing no gloves on. My son says too much relish on the steak sub and the bread was too soggy as if it had been dipped in liquid like a roast beef sub would have been; when it was supposed to be a steak sub. Meat was generous for sure. Steak sub was more like a ground steak sandwich. Perhaps ask how much relish or if you want your sandwich dipped would be a plus. I got a $30 gift card from my wife for Christmas, so I finally decided to use it at the Rockford Illinois location, I ordered a New York Steamer-$15, no drink, no chips, I went to pay for it and I ran the gift card through the scanner, it didn't take!, tried 3x more, cashier said it probably wasn't activated, he also implied that it could have been taken off the counter in front of the register and claimed it was a valid card. So I paid cash for my sandwich, went home, called the gift card balance # and it told me it had a $30 balance on it and that the card was purchased 2 months earlier. Franchises really need to fix their SHIT, because it's not like they're not making their money. $15 was rounded up because they guilt you into rounding up for the firefighters, honestly, I couldn't give a shit, they choose the lifestyle for the adrenaline rush, so there's no reason I need to put them on a pedestal. read more

Quite possibly the worst "fast food" experience in many years. This place could be worse than Subway or Quizno's, which is a feat all in itself. Even if you're starving and there isn't another restaurant for 100 miles, I would never recommend stepping foot in this roach-motel. Here's a few things to keep in mind before you make a bad decision and decide to eat here: (1) The physical location is dirty and unkempt (2) Not all staff was wearing gloves while handling food (gross, especially during a pandemic) (3) The staff was less than friendly (4) The entire time we waited, all four line cooks dilly-dallied over (what appeared to be) a single catering order that incapacitated the entire restaurant (5) The food we ordered was never made while waiting 15-20 minutes... our family couldn't wait & had to request a refund. I have always thought these subs are the best in the area. Was so disappointed when they closed some. Found myself in the Stone Park area so I decided to stop. The pastrami was good as usual. Saw a sign for garlic bread which I love so I decided to try theirs. Freaked me out. Quite possibly the best I've ever had which is a lot. Very buttery and garlicky. You don't get a crunch here.
