We were running out of time on our hunt to find them when I realized, 'I've got my trusty guidebook!!' And that's how we ended up here. It was 12 Euros for 6 oysters and a glass of wine. Since there were four of us, the lady was nice enough to give us 4 cups of wine (yes, plastic cups - it's a farmer's market, what do you expect!) They even threw in an extra oyster! SO FRESH! SO BIG! (cue that's-what-she-said joke). Compared to NYC oysters, these babies looked like they were on steroids! They also have this dipping sauce (had onions and was really vinegar-y, but good. But if you don't like the sour, you should just take the oyster straight.) Didn't eat anything else from other stands because we just had lunch. However, I believe they had shish kebabs, crepes, and bread. Oh and FYI - Sheridans Cheesemongers was there (saw this place on Anthony Bourdain when he went to Dublin so thought this might be worth mentioning). Definitely check out this farmer's market!

In fact, do not skip any beef dish they have. The Crispy Chili Chicken was the best part of a Spice Bag, without the fries. The Duck Wings had amazing flavor, wished they were served a bit hotter. But don't let that put you off, the queue moves quickly. At first I used to get just the paella, which has chicken and chorizo, with optional aioli sauce. But now I opt for the half and half, which includes their other dish of lamb meatballs and cous cous too. This is also delicious. For 8 EUR the portion is massive and I can never finish it in one go. I was glad I ordered the 12" as it was very moreish. My companions had the Manhattan Heat which, with the jalapeños, was hot as was the Nduja ordered by companion #3. The house basil pizza was the fourth. We had ordered garlic bread to share before the pizza arrived but it was served almost as the last pizza slices were being hoovered up. Not to worry - it got demolished anyway. One small peeve however. Whilst the BYO policy is very welcome, I felt the €7.50 charge per bottle is taking the proverbial, hence 4 instead of 5 stars. That said, a very good pizza in a cosy setting with friendly, attentive staff. Recommended.

Aside from the smugness, you can also plug in your phone to play music, there's a gorgeo little stove for the winter time, lots of cushions and blankets, and there are seats going all the way round the table, so it's a super social space where you can chat with everyone at the same time. I haven't even gotten to the food yet - the pizzas are perfect - stone baked base, good quality toppings and very simple, no fuss. No, we were on a mission to consume as much smoked dead animal, coffee, pints, and antibiotics as we could before his dad came to collect him. FOR HE IS A MAN OF LIMERICK, and a kind soul - rare to find in those westerly parts. My spouse and sprog were also dressed for social warfare determined to keep up with the appetite of the warlords recently returned to the Fatherland.. Seated in the middle of the hall, a pedestal raised for the show ahead. My woman spotted her kin working the rounds and bent up to query her nationality. A match! A southerly piriguete ready to do our bidding and translate everything off the menu - CORN ON THE COBS for everyone in the audience. Do I have your attention?! Do I still have your attention? .. my meat is getting cold resting on the table while the kitchen gremlins in the back fetch water for the table next to us.. Eventually, it arrives, and I'm not surprised.. It's exactly what I ordered.. The same brisket that keeps popping up on my youtube feed every time I look for bbq recipes.. yeah, OK, it's grand, it melts in my face.. job done. I'll take the bloating diarrhoea to go, please, and a can of Fantana for the babee.. Hold up, there's 1 plate not touched.. Uncle Phil's better half. Sitting there with half a dead cow in front of her that's so dry, I wouldn't fuck with it myself without a ramicken of boner marrow to lube up that bitch. Send it back! Feed it to the animals! I'm not paying! My wife's new friend drags it's off by the ankle to have a whine and a moan about it with the chefs and pop! Another one comes sliding across the table. I look back, and cheeky Little Miss Fortaleza has already left, not even a goodbye.. We're all done at this stage too so Uncle Phil's wife has a choice, walk around town with a dead animal in her pocket all evening til munch time, or eat it in front of us while we counting down the minutes before Phil's dads gotta come and pick him up.. tick tick tick.. decision time.. "Table service of 10% is included with groups of 4+.." Oh, that's reallll clever.. Raaeeell bad man.. what if we're not satisfied? Well my friends.. this is where yelp comes in.. the customer is king in the world.. You! small businesses.. You will never be able to silence the disgruntled pedestrians..
