Is it possible to give zero stars? I received the absolute worst customer service from Firestone Bloomington that I have ever received from any business. The employees were beyond rude as well as incompetent at their jobs. Here is the miserable story of my month long nightmare with Firestone Bloomington: I am from Chicago but was spending 2 weeks in Bloomington for a class at IU. My check engine light came on and I took my car to Firestone because it was the only location open on Sunday's in Bloomington. I was told it was a very cheap and easy fix and they would need the afternoon to unclog my EGR valve. "Great!" I thought. After, paying and picking up my car the check engine light was still on. They were closing soon but I was told to come back the next day. The next day, they took all day looking at my car...charged me more for parts and labor...I picked up the car and drove about 5 feet and the battery light was on and the car was shaking. I tried to bring the car back but they were closed. The next day (after I paid to stay a night in a hotel because I had no way of driving to where I was staying outside of Bloomington) they told me it was their fault and they had put the valves back in the car wrong or something. This was trip three of my SIX trips to firestone in the 10 days I was in Bloomington. Most of which they admitted was their fault. Finally, the Friday before I left Firestone called me and told me they had broken a piece while trying to put the car back together. They had to order the piece and it would not be here until Wednesday. I was supposed to be at work in Chicago on Monday and on a plane to Canada on Wednesday. After much arguing, they got me a rental car to Chicago. I was told they would also pay for a rental car to get back to Bloomington when I returned from Canada three weeks later. This never happened. When I returned to the United States and went to pick up my reserved rental car I was told that Firestone refused to pay for it. It took me another few weeks before I could take a day off of work to get to Bloomington. I had to take a greyhound bus at 6AM to Bloomington. I got there exhausted and picked up my car. Drove a block before the check engine light came on again. They refused to refund the $300 I had just paid them. I just risked it and drove to Chicago because I wasn't going to let them touch my car anymore. They had it for over a month and received over $1,000 from me and still failed to fix it. Once I returned to Chicago, I brought my car into a shop and they fixed the issue right away and I have had zero problems. Please, never take your car to the horrible location. read more

Quoted a price at this Firestone. We made an appointment and took the car in, only to be told The mechanic wasn't certified to do windows. They told us to take it to the Eastside Firestone. Took it there and dropped it off they called later and now the quote had gone up $200. I was given a lame excuse that they were using their parts and they have a lifetime warranty on them. The price for their part was 295 the exact same part at AutoZone which is where they were getting it from was 164. Nearly 100% write up. Not to mention, the part already have a limited lifetime warranty on it. Very very upsetting that the quote was $200 difference across town and that we had to go through that hassle to even take it there. Don't go to Firestone!! read more

Went here to get my car fixed after it broke down. The repair was not in question. However, prior to this visit I went to a firestone and asked for a diagnostic test on my engine. They completed the test and verbally confirmed that the test was what I asked for. The test should have indicated that my piston was needing repair. However, they did not tell me, and the mechanic I talked with stated that they should have caught it back in August. After calling corporate the stated they would launch an investigation. However even after their own employee stated they should have caught it, and admitted to fault Firestone would not cover a rental while the claim was being investigated. Putting me at a disadvantage as my job relies on me getting a car. Eventually I got through to corporate. Corporate listened, and then said that she would call me right back. I never heard from her again. I did hear from the mechanic at this location and was told they were dismissing my claim and not finding fault. They stated that the test I did receive was not what I asked for even though the staff I had worked with that day informed me that they had. The mechanic hung up on me when i started to object. When I called corporate, they also hung on me. Overall very poor customer service and an organization fueled by greed and no care for their consumer. Stay away from this company. read more

Nothing good to say about this place. After rotating my tires I complained about wobbling and noise. They told me that I had waited too long to rotate. They offered to I rotate the tires. Took it to another mechanic, who tightened the lug nuts on the two front tires. Wow. Not going back to Firestone! read more

Brought in my Mercedes for new pads and rotors and they gave me a great price, OEM Parts, and was provided fantastic customer service. I am not sure why this place has such poor reviews. I will be coming here for all future needs. Very nice and helpful staff!! read more

I paid 1700 dollars for them to do work to my vehicle when they returned it, they told me it would be an additional 300 dollars just to initially start working on the air conditioning because it needed "rewired". My boyfriend popped the hood and checked the blower motor fuse and so basically they tried to charge me 300 dollars for a ten dollar fix and a bullshit diagnosis. Never going back. read more

Called on Monday 12/11/17 and made an appointment to have my oil changed on Wednesday 12/13/17. I left the car at the shop @ 9am and told them I needed it back 4:30-5 pm. I walked back to the shop @ 5 and they never even started the service. Said they were busy that day. A heads up call would have been nice. I've been going to them for quite a while, but over the last 18-24 months, I've noticed a drop off in service. Now if they can't do a simple oil change with a pre-arranged appointment visit, then it's time to move on. I can no longer recommend this Firestone store. read more

This Firestone is the best. They don't tell you 10+ things are wrong with your car when you come in for a simple oil change. They are honest and have forever earned my business over anyone else in town for basic car needs. read more

I had to get on Yelp and tell all how happy we were with the service Firestone auto on Walnut. Took in my truck with service engine light in and miss Fire. Jack worked with us to get repaired and was so honest. Actual bill was less than quoted because they spent addition time diagnosing a fuse issue instead of suspected alternator. Best auto service I have ever gotten in my life. If you need auto service, tires or oil changes in Bloomington the best, honest ship is Firestone on walnut and 3rd. Thanks again Jack. I took my truck in for brakes. It was inspected promptly. The tech was professional. He had his inspection done within 15 min. I then waited for the Manager to formulate an estimate this took about 40 minutes, should've done this before going to lunch. Then I get an estimate for about $1000.00 for four brakes this included pads and rotors. I called two other Brake shops and both were $250.00 cheaper. My advice, If you have repairs to be made on your vehicle, better call around and compare prices. read more

Don't go to Firestone. I had a flat tire and had gone to Firestone to get the tire repaired and put back on the car. They had refused to fix it because "Federal Law" said they couldn't on tires over 5 years and that I needed all new tires. I checked the laws concerning tire replacement and they were making it up. I then asked where the hole was and they didn't even know, they hadn't checked. They then by my request, inflated it to check and found that the hole was tiny and on the tread. Though it was easily repairable they continued to insist that I needed to buy all knew tires. The tires are in good condition, they aren't even close to bald, and I knew they were trying to swindle me because I am in college. I said that I would take it somewhere else and took it to Tieman. At Tieman's I told them what I was looking for and they fixed the tire and had it back on my car in 45 min. I was only charged $15 and the staff was amazing. I really appreciate the honesty and help that Tieman's provided. read more

My daughter hit something and flattened her tire. We called and asked it they could sell us a new tire and install it that day and they said yes. She took them the wheel at 11:30 am and they said they would call when ready. At 5:45 they called, leaving 15 mins till they closed. They mounted the tire without checking the condition of the car and missed that she had badly bent the control rod. She drove on it and made it worse. It created a dangerous situation ( didn't steer right) that could have been worse. I think it was irresponsible of them not to check the car for other damage but if course they were in a hurry to go home. Plenty of tire places in Bloomington, go elsewhere. read more

Slow. I waited 40 min after my appointment time for a tire rotation and my at still wasn't pulled in the bay so I left.

Researched several places before I chose Firestone and found them to be reasonably priced. New tires, wiper blades, alignment and oil change. Staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. My only negative is that there is no sticker to remind me when I to get my oil changed next and I'll probably forget! Will definitely use Firestone again! read more
