This store is only concerned about profit. Please everyone do not buy their lifetime front end alignment warranty.Most of the Firestones locations here will make you wait for extended hours just because you have a prepaid service. All of them are just concerned with the customers that are paying . Yet, I have paid them for other services. Why have an appointment and they make you wait for five hours and still not get service. This is piss poor service at the Firestones in Columbus and Ft.Benning, Ga area because I didn't have this problem in Kentucky. I'm a long time Firestone customer. Not every location is great, we travel a lot, so I've been to several in many states. This location is above and beyond the others! I needed 2 loose wheel tire replacements, but could only Jack up 1 at a time. They located the odd size tires, had them delivered and mounted 1, then I returned with the 2nd wheel, they got it mount and ready in no time. Was rudely told they only accept appointments now and it would be Monday, 2pm before they could get to our car. Have never in 20 years had to have an appointment and was told rudely that is the way it is now. Soooo--- took my car next door to Bross Tire Company, where they were very appreciative to get our business. When I told the young man in Firestone I wouldn't be back -- the response was, "OK". I was in Columbus for a convention and had an issue with my car the night before I was to leave. After getting a jump I was advised to go to a car repair center by an employee at an O'Reily's auto parts store. I took it to Firestone and was told the car would be diagnosed the following day. I received a call from the store indicating the car could not be repaired by them because it was a transmission issue. My car was also noted to be questionable to drive. I took the expert opinion and had my car towed to Atlanta for $395 and paid Firestone $120. The diagnosis was wrong; and for what I paid for the towing and diagnostic it was repaired. Had a 10 o'clock appointment I got here a little early just to speed it up a little bit. It's now 1144 and my vehicle hasn't moved. Went to Firestone in hopes of them helping me take a bolt out of a plate that was stuck. The manager Brent Coker was super helpful and responsive and used a grinder so I was still able to use the plates to set up my step-daughters bed. Great team they have at this location! I give this location ZERO stars. This shop and its employees have no respect for customers or their time. They lie to your face. Our vehicle was dropped off before 830am and by 530pm it was still in the same spot and had not been looked at. When confronting the "service manager" she advised we did not have an appointment and they never promised to fix it only look at the problem. That was a bold faced lie considering if we had been advised of that info we would have went elsewhere. The vehicle was left overnight only to continue the nightmare in dealing with this shop. The "service manager" advised they called at 830am the following day with some info but yet left no messages or had missed calls and found out mid day this lie while the vehicle had just been sitting all day taken apart. We resorted to towing the vehicle from this shop by the end of the day since now it was in such disarray they could not even put it back together. Car was brought in for front end alignment, tps was flashing, was called and said it was done, picked up light still flashing , called firestone said it should go out in a few miles. it didnt also front end steering was not right. brought back after a second charge for tps it was fixed but the front end was not. steering whell when held in center it goes left. second time they did this. not sure they have qualified help. will bring to another store. i also called and ask why i was charged twice for same service, was told thats how it does and it could not be changed, Management is terrible. read more

My relative was talked into buying lifetime alignment plan. Every time they go in for an alignment they get a call that hundreds of dollars of repair work is needed. The last time was breaks. I convinced them to go to Fred's to verify . As thought the brakes are fine. Be careful especially if your female these people will try to scare you into service you don't need. read more

I was in dire need of two tires for my company vehicle and decided to call to confirm they had my size of tire in stock. I spoke with Todd Way and he walked me through how to read the specs of the tire to determine the size. Todd Way was very helpful and pleasant, he verified that they did have the tires in stock and told me to come on in and he would make sure I was taken care of. When I got to the location I was greeted and assisted by Brandon which took great care of me. He was even able to get my car in for maintenance including an oil change along with getting the tires mounted on my vehicle. This all took place in less than an hour. Firestone tried to pull fast one. Had an issue with battery not starting. Firestone was around corner from us so brought it in after getting jumped and Conway recommended battery replacement. I forked over $150. They indicated the the alternator had high voltage reading and could be reason i'm having issue with battery. They wanted to replace the alternator as well taking my total from $150 to up close to under $1,000. When I looked at the slip Conway wrote up he had the mileage at 41,000. I accept this not as oversight rather an egregious attempt to operate without a morsel of integrity. My mileage was 21,000 and immediately upon seeing that the morally decent thing to do would be to ask me if i had checked with manufacturer/dealership as the car could well be under warranty. Writing it up at 41,000 puts them in perceived safe zone as one could argue vehicle may be outside of minimum 3 year, 36k mile warranty that nearly ALL vehicles come with. Firestone had the opportunity to do the right thing and made the decision to kick integrity to the curb. Instead they were hoping i would remain uninformed so they could prey on the opportunity. Disappointing. Mechanics and these types of car repair establishments like Firestone have long had to overcome the stigma of being less than forthright. I'm shocked though that in churchie Columbus, GA this Firestone location doesnt walk to the beat of a different Bible. They still act as shady as the stereotype. Realizing something didnt smell right, I did what i should have from jump. Called the dealership and they informed me everything was still under warranty. Conway nickle and dimed me $15 to take the battery out and returned my $150 i should have never been encouraged to pay. As it turns out, Dealership said there is nothing wrong with the alternator. Reading could have been taken before new battery was put in as it may have been working harder to charge the old one. Firestone never gave me a reading on the alternator "after" the old one was replaced, rather they wanted to replace alternator and battery together. DO NOT take your vehicle to this location. They are morally bankrupt of advising the customer what is in that customer's best financial interest. It's a slimy, shady hustle to make a buck. read more

I brought my car in a few months ago while I was in town for work, because my oil was leaking from a previous, poorly-done oil change. I paid $9.99 for them to do a full inspection of the vehicle and he looked at it, and told me the problem was that the previous oil-changer (not from Firestone) didn't tighten the filter on properly and that's why it was leaking. So he fixed it...but he really didn't. Got back to Atlanta, and guess what? There was a fresh, oil puddle again in my driveway. I took my car in to another, trusted shop, and he told me that it the oil filter was still loose. He ACTUALLY fixed it, and the problem ended. But really, how hard is it to tighten the oil filter? And if you didn't do it, then don't tell me you did. read more

My wife and I was referred to this firestone location by the firestone location on Ft. Benning for an emergency situation with our vehicle. We pulled up to the congested parking lot and I witnessed my wife looks to be getting harrassed by one of the employees telling her she cannot park her vehicle there. So instead of explaining to her were to park since we clearly haven't been there before he just kept telling her were she cannot park while she was trying to explain to him that she is handicapped and he refused to listen. So I intervened and said I will move the vehicle after I park mine. So as I transitioned to do so I keep getting aggressive stares from the same employee that was previously talking at my wife. So my wife came back out and explained to me that she didn't have a pleasant experience inside the store either which made us very uncomfortable so we risked our vehicle being in possibly bad condition and drove all the way back to the Firestone on Ft. Benning and got taken care of there. I would highly recommend do not go to the Firestone on veteran's parkway save you some time! read more

Update: After filing a complaint with Firestone's Customer Service, they got me in contact with Mr. Brent Ferguson, who I believe is the district manager for Firestone. He was prompt in contacting me and after listening to what happened, offered me the option of having them remove the parts and receive a refund. I agreed. I went to the shop early this morning where Mr. Ferguson thoroughly explained what was going to happen and completed my transaction himself. He was very professional and polite. I was in and out in under 40 minutes. While I still plan to go elsewhere for any future car maintenance, I really appreciate and respect Mr. Ferguson for going out his way to rectify the situation. read more

I went to Firestone thinking I would get the BEST CARE for my car and found it was not so. I can say within a 6 month period my car was not repaired but not to my satisfactory. I had my first service done at Firestone I was told I needed another radiator which would cost me over $700 for parts and labor. I couldn't pay for the service but I was offer to apply for Firestone credit get 10%off I did and got approved. Got service done right alway for radiator and paid that bill off before 6months. After that air condition motor change and control dial replace. I was told my cooling fan for to keep engine cool down was not working because it was turning automatically they had to turn it with their hand to make the fan turn. I ask is that's reason why the water wouldn't stay in the reservoir I was told YES. I told car need another starter and another battery they was the giving enough power to start the car. I had to go back because water leak got check and I was told I need a water pump and timing chain replace. Now I got to go back again. Before I went to Fire stone I know had 2 issue wrong with my car. Now since I let Firestone service on my car I been having problems after problems on my car. Now got to go back again. It is stressful when you don't have the funds to get your car fix. And Firestone keep charging you high cost to repair your car.
