Ok this is kind of a good, bad and ugly review. The ugly- Had my bearings replaced on one of the wheels less than a year ago and they already went bad. It happens, faulty parts do sometimes get installed. The bad- When they did the work a second time they didn't call to let me know the work was done. Which happens, they are a very busy shop. Make an appointment. The good- The parts where under warranty and they did the repair to the car at absolutely no cost to me. Stood by their ethics and were very polite the whole time. Even did a couple extra minor things like adding a lug nut that was missing from the wheel. Above and beyond excellent service that they stand behind. read more

Found a screw in one of my tires late Sunday and after going to a tire shop and wouldn't help because they were closing I found Firestone. Thank you to Jose and Andy for a great customer service and help me with fixing my tire. I'll definitely be coming back. I do most of my mechanical work myself, partially because I live in very east county and partially because of my upbringing by my Depression era parents, I'm cheap. My last visit I brought my ranch truck in to have the AC charged after I swapped out the compressor. Chipper, the AC tech, asked me a few questions about the repair and pointed out that I should replace the condenser and accumulator as well due to how the compressor failed. These guys are honest, affordable and professional. Good coffee, WiFi and a charging station. Short Uber ride to the Mall or Burning Beard Brewing depending on the time of day. read more

From the moment I walked in the front door, I was greeted with a warm and friendly staff. Andy, the hiring manager, was working with Jose, a recently hired employee. Jose went right to work getting me processed in and finding out what work I needed on my car, a 2009 Toyota Corolla. Andy made a couple of really helpful suggestions and made sure that I got my discount for using my account with them. He even applied some free services, which from a customer service background is a great way to ensure repeat business. They got me going on my way quickly and made sure to give me a call later, even verifying my phone number. When they called later, they had run through their findings from my inspection, and gave me a breakdown of the cost before and after taxes. Chris, the tech I spoke to on the phone, was courteous and answered all of my questions with confidence and even applied a coupon to my work order. My family has been coming to this particular shop for years, and it is due to their constant professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond that will make me want to keep coming here. read more

Slow service today. I'm understanding but felt like I was taken for a ride. Jose is a great manager but the place goes to the lions without him there. I left my car at 710am for an oil change and front wheel struts. It was supposed to be ready at noon. It wasn't ready until 430pm. I won't be back. I can do better. read more

I went to this place for the first time, in order to have my rear tail light cover assemblies put on both sides. I was told it would take 30-45 mins and gave me a quote of $62. After keeping me waiting for 45 mins, the guy comes over and in 10 mins had them connected, (I timed it) and I was still charged the $62. When I questioned him about it, he said their hourly labor charge is $140, so I don't know how they figure the math, but 10 MINUTES isn't worth $62! In my opinion, I feel they are dishonest and would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I pay $600 for four tires at Firestone and pay for the warranty and everything and I get a flat tire and I come to Firestone and I still have to pay $63 for a tire when it should have been a free tire because I just bought all the tires and pay for the warranty. What is the warranty for if it's not giving you a cheap tire to get for a free tire to get I paid for the warranty so I don't understand what it covered I give them no star actually because I feel like it's a rip-off. So I suggest no one buys tires from here or the warranty because they will never give you a free tire or fix it for free like Discount Tire I will always go there from here on out read more

Went there because I had a flat, they were fast and got the work done in about 30 mins. They didn't seem to have many discounts or such.

Jeez, I don't know where to begin. I went In for an estimate for 2 front tires and an alignment, which I got, and was recommended to make an appt. which I did. I dropped my car off early for my appt. (10:00am). They asked if I was waiting or leaving the car. I said I would leave the car. They said it would be a couple of hours, no problem. I got a call around 4:00 saying that it would be done a little after 6:00. I finally went there @7:00pm, only to find out hey had just put my car on the lift. REALLY!!! I asked what would have happened if I had waited for my car, to which he said "well, we would have done it earlier". As it went, I, ended up leaving my car overnight. Can't believe they actually said it would have been done if I waited. Shame on you to have customers make an appt. only to take walk-ins first. 9 hrs for 2 tires and an alignment, shame on you!!! read more

I made an appointment to get my service done. Comes to find out that they were slammed. I was told that just to check to see what was "wrong" would take about 1-2 hours and they could not promise that they can fix the problem by today. They were not friendly and they seem very shady about how they operate their business. I would not recommend this place at all. read more

My boyfriend and I had a great experience here! Very friendly employees! The only negative was their bathroom was really gross. I guess you can't expect a five star bathroom at an auto shop but the seat was broken so I couldn't even sit down! Lol! We had to wait a long time (2.5 hours) for a tire rotation so if you don't mind dropping off your car and getting a ride to get errands done then it works out in your favor. OMG OMG PEOPLE BEWARE. Let's just say I'm been coming to this fire store for over 10yrs, and u would think that would account for something,but NOOOOOOO this last yrs 1/2 has been total hell.first of all they could get the payment right second they lost a piece to my car and I had to pay to replace it and that took about 4 months. So I was like everyone has a bad day. UNTIL I HAD MY FRONT BRAKES DONE OR SO I THOUGHT.I went because of the noise may hrs later I left and I could still hear the noise. I called the next day they said brakes do that give it about months and call us back ok cool. OK months go by I call again they say bring my car in. I my car in he tell me he don't hear anything and the front brakes are fine. Then he said maybe it coming from the back brakes. So now they are giving me the run around, saying the person isn't here and we are to busy and we will call you . Never got a call from anyone not the mgr/district mgr no one. So now I'm pissed because I'm afraid of have a accident for my life and anyone else life. So people when you go to this one makes sure you check everything. So of course I went somewhere else and my FRONT BRAKES Were REALLY BAD I thank god for watching over me because it really could have been bad. I came in here to get my tires changed on my brother's bmw and my mom's Lexus. Overall I had a good experience. I dropped the cars off and left so I did not really wait. They had given me a discount so I did get a good deal. They did a good job installing the tires and changing them out. I would give this place a 5 stars but when I got home I noticed a black scratch on both of the cars on the left side. The scratched bothered me, but overall I would give it a 4 stars. read more

Great service ac went out on trip into San Diego stopped at this Firestone they diagnosed problem and replaced ac compressor on a Saturday at 230 and we were on our way by 530 to continue our vacation. I called in an apt for an oil change the same day and they were flexible with my times. I also said I found a coupon online and they honored it over the phone without me having to bring it in. They were very busy this Saturday afternoon, and although there were other customers waiting and coming in, the lady at the front made sure to remind the mechanics that I had an apt a few times, to make sure I was not forgotten about. She had a good attitude and so did her mechanics. I did wait about an hour for my oil change and a tire rotation, but that was not bad for just calling in the same day when they were already busy. There are a lot of places to grab lunch and kill time, so I went to Subway next door! Overall they were great, the cutomer service was EXCELLENT, and I will go back again... read more

These guys are great, but this location is very busy. They are willing to help me decide which service fits best for my needs. They suggested a high mileage oil for my car and even explained the benefits over regular oil. They do a great job on all vehicles and even though they upsell a bit, they don't lie about anything unnecessary. I always go to them for my car services. read more

Usually I always go to the dealer from which I obtain my car however I tried Firestone today and they did an AMAZING job. I have a 2004 Toyota Camry which had a check engine light on. I told them I was going out of town on a 3000mile trip and they did a complete vehicle inspection. After receiving the diagnostics codes from the check engine light they called me every step of the way to keep me informed of what was going on with my car. They flushed my cooling system, replaced my transmission oil, replaced my oxygen sensor, valve cover engine gasket AND did a fuel system cleaning. It was all for a very good price, they even looked for discounts for me. Miguel and Stan where the technicians working on the car and I have to say they did an AMAZING job. I definitely feel confident that my trip will go well. Without hesitation I would recommend this place. read more

I had an unfortunate experience that lead me here late afternoon on a Sunday. Let's just say my day didn't go as planned and I had to spend to money I didn't want to spend. But I did get a good deal on the tires, I even price checked while I was waiting for my car to be serviced, I saved at least $100 going with Firestone. And furthermore, thank goodness for the folks at Firestone, specifically Mike P. He was able to get me for the service I needed. Oh I waited...hours went by but that can't be helped, after all, It was late afternoon on a Sunday. I watched these guys man, they are courteous, professional, upbeat, and they're busted their butts in that lobby and garage. Non stop phone calls, customers in the lobby, some of which aren't the most pleasant. Go figure. They even helped a homeless man that came in that evening after their business hours. And not one person ever lost their cool. read more

I just got my tires change after 2hours of waitig.. basically if you dont tell them that you're in a hurry or you have some important things to do. they'll make you wait. I had my car tire s taking off and then for 2hours no body bothered to look for 2hours! right after I told them I have work at 2:30 and needed the car done before that. at the last minute they put a new tires not even 10minutes its finished. service is shameful very shameful. read more

These guys were awesome. We were towed in at the end of day with a flat tire and a flat spare on a rental. Had 2 tires waiting on us when we got there. Erick Guzman filled up the spare. After 10 minutes the spare was holding air. Me and my companion decided to drive back without purchasing the 2 tires. They perfectly understood. Buyer Beware...this has to be the worst location I've ever been too! I'm a long time customer and will never use this location ever again even though I live close. For my step son they put his front rims on the back which are different sizes and it screwed up the car! We had to get it fixed at the dealer and was over $5000. When I got new tires on my SUV they were running late and I was leaving for a trip to Laughlin pulling my jetski and they did not balance my tires so I had a very bumpy ride to say the least. Then lately I had my tires rotated, balanced, and alignment done. When I picked up my vehicle the front quarter panel was popping out looking like it was in an accident...are you kidding me?! Then the car did not seem to have balanced tires when at higher speeds again. I just took to another Firestone and my car is a world of difference now with tires getting balanced and alignment. Bottom line is this location cuts corners and not trained properly. No one from corporate has called me even though they say they would within a week. It's been 4 to 5 months. read more

They ruined my car!!!! I have two experiences with this Firestone. The first experience was awesome and I received great service! Since I got such awesome service I decided to take my other car to get repaired. It was a mint condition perfectly running 1997 Toyota Previa. The check engine light was on and it could not pass the smog. I paid Firestone $100 for a diagnostic.... They called me the next day even though I was told I will be contacted the same day. They explained to me what it needed and assured me that was all. I was told a total of $500 and I would need two tired on the back. I paid an excess of $800 they chared my Firestone account. The next day they call me after they do all the work and charge me $800 and they tell me. Hey guess what? I said what? the said something else is wrong with it.... and it could run you up to $1600 to fix it. I was never told what it was...... I was told it had to do with a spark plug..... However they can't do that there! really I thought, how are you a mechanic???? They sent my car to another shop from there "I had to pay to tow the damn car 3 TIMES!!!!. I drove the car in it ran perfect!. I went to pick my car up from the other shop and it cost me $350!!!! I was assured by Firestone that my car was now perfect!!!! BUT get this! Firestone broke my car! it does not hold water anymore!. I drove the car unknowingly without water and the head gasket blew! Firestone said It's not our fault and we can't help you. I called several times to speak to a manager and MARGARET left me on hold for an HOUR a whole FUCKING HOUR!!!!!........ I paid to tow this car 3 times to and from my house and to and from a damn shop!!!! I was never offered anything after they ruined my car. THEY DIDNT EVEN SAY SORRY OR OFFER A REFUND OR EVEN A PARTIAL REFUND.....! THEY OFFERED NOTHING! all they said WAS COME GET YOUR CAR! BUT IT DOESNT EVEN WORK. That is bull and no way to treat someone! I had to go as far to contact Headquarters because no one from the El Cajon Firestone would talk to me.... Guess what EL CAJON FIRESTONE. Headquarters AGREED with me and refunded me all my money!!!! I'm getting a check sent NEXT DAY UPS!!!!. I hope Margaret gets what she deserves! and the manager at Firestone in El Cajon needs to clean that damn place mop or something! BUT I STILL DONT HAVE A CAR!!! I share with my son now...... This is probably going to be my go to place for all of my auto care needs from now on. Everyone that works here not only has great customer service standards, but as well do a very detailed and great job. I came on Labor Day, only because they were the only place open. Despite having closed at 5:00 that day, they stayed open to finish everything for everyone. I got my car in right away, and they did their best to get it to me as fast as possible. My customer service advisor was Tate, he was very patient and took his time to ensure that I was satisfied with the service, which I was. I will definitely be back for more service needs and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. You guys do a great job! Keep it up! read more

I have used this place a few times. Everytime I go I get excellent service. I went in last month to have my tires rotated and an alignment. I went i. At opening without an appointment. They asked me if I wanted to come back another day with an appointment, I declined they advised me it would be about 4 hours. I have been there with an appointment and as a walk in and they are pretty good with their estimate of time. So I left my car there. They checked my tires and found a nail in one. Which I just put air in the day before because it was low. They asked me since my tires looked new I could take it to were I got them and have them patch it up or they could do it there. I had them do it there since they always done good work. They called me back because they couldn't find the lug lock to remove my tires for rotation. (I believe that's what's it called) they were so helpful with my options and making not feel like a horrible car owner. In the end they were able to do rotate them. They didn't try to sell me on things which is great because I dislike that. I have to give credit to Mike and Jordon they made a difficult day easy. Plus they finished before the four hours! In the end I got all the services I asked for and they fixed my tire! read more
